shelds9
Hey, shelds9 here and I am thinking of making my own Fan-Fic, but I need your help, YCM! You see, I am short on custom deck ideas. That's where you come in! All you need to do is create the ace card and field spell for the archetype and tell me what kind of effects the cards focus on! Easy right? [spoiler=Rules:]- All YCM rules apply- No entry fee! YAY!!!- You are allowed to post 2 ideas, no more [spoiler=How this works]- You make the Ace Card and Field Spell of an archetype- If I like your idea, your archetype will be featured in my Fan-Fic- NOTE: YOUR CARD WILL NECESSARILY BE IN THE FAN-FIC, JUST YOUR IDEAS. I MIGHT ALTER THE EFFECTS OF THE CARDS YOU POSTED HERE.- I WILL NOT rate on pics, OCG. I WILL rate creativeness, and fairness.- You can post your cards here at any time. The contest will end when I find 1 more idea that is worthy!- There will be no positionings. It is not a competition against fellow YCMers. If your idea is worthy to be in my Fan-Fic, you will get a Rep and credit. [spoiler=Prizes]If your idea is worthy of being in my Fan-Fic, it will be in it, you will be credited and you will receive 1 +Rep.
Face McShooty
I have an idea... you may have seen my thread for "Steampunks" well here are a Field Spell and an effect monster... I have a fusion too, if you want to see it, just let me know Increase the ATK of all "Steampunk" monsters by 500 points and decrease their DEF by 500 points. When this monster is successfully Special Summoned, add 1 "Steampunk Airship" from your Deck to the field. As long as "Steampunk Airship" is on the field with this monster, this monster can attack twice per turn. This monster cannot attack your opponent directly. shelds9
if you could post the ace/best card of the deck, that would help my decision...
Face McShooty
well I only have 3 cards in it... for lack of pics... but here's my fusion... i guess you could say its my best card "Steampunk Warrior" + 1 Machine-Type monsterThis monster is also treated as a Dragon-Type. This monster can only be Fusion Summoned using "Dragon's Mirror". This monster gains 100 ATK for each Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard. Ieyasu Tokugawa
Does it actually have to be an archtype, or can it be a general set? Reason is I have my own set that could make a deck, but they aren't an archtype.
shelds9
well, could i change the names to make it an archetype if it is worthy?
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Well let's try it. The idea behind the set was that all of the monsters in the set would have 500 or less attack and have some effect that would involve removing itself from play, whether it was a way to avoid damage, destroy an opponent's card or to stall the opponent. "Setsuna the Cardcaster" + 1 or more non-tuner monstersThis monster can only be Synchro Summoned using Synchro Material monsters that have 500 or less ATK. This monster gains ATK equal to the number of removed from play monsters x300. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove it from play to Special Summon 1 or your removed from play non-Tuner monsters with 500 or less attack. While you control a monster with 500 or less ATK, excluding tokens, once per turn you can Special Summon 1 Strike Token (Warrior-type/Earth/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). When a Strike Token is removed from the field, you can double the Attack of a monster whose original ATK is less than 500 until the End Phase. Umbra
Since you said you wouldn't rate the picture, would cards without pictures suffice? Realm of the Blind DreamerField Spell"Elder One" monsters gain 600 ATK. When control of a monster changes, inflict 400 damage to the monster's original controller. Elder One - Joztne DagunDARKSea Serpent8 / 2900 / 2500When this card is Tribute Summoned, take control of 1 monster your opponent controls. If this card would destroy a monster by battle, take control of it instead, until the End Phase.
Spoon
Are "pop cultural" cards allowed? "Pop cultural" meaning cards that are very losely based on an old story, and still meant to be played rather than depicture anything? ... Okay, I could shout it out right away: I'd try to revamp my old "Alice in Wonderland" idea, trimmed to be more competetive and playable. PS: If that doesn't work, I'll of course join anyway and post something different ;)
Lexadin
Ok, I like where this is going to. Here are my entries. This card is unaffected by the effects of "Vereor Force" monsters. Decrease the ATK of every non-"Vereor Force" monster by 300. Each time a non-"Vereor Force" monster would be send to the Graveyard, place 1 Chain Counter on it instead (Max. 1). Each time a "Vereor Force" monster would be removed from the field, you can destroy 1 monster with a Chain Counter instead. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing 4 "Vereor Force" monsters with different names in your Graveyard from play. Once per turn, you can select 1 "Vereor Force" monster in your Graveyard and remove it from play. Until the End Phase, this card gains the selected monster's effect. Spoon
[spoiler=Through the Looking Glass]You can Tribute 1 LIGHT "Wonderland" monster you control to Special Summon 1 DARK "Wonderland" monster with the same name from your Deck OR Tribute 1 DARK "Wonderland" monster you control to Special Summon 1 LIGHT "Wonderland" monster with the same name from your Deck. A monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot be Tributed for this card's effect until the Main Phase 2 of your next turn. Each time this effect is activated, place 1 Wonderland Counter on this card. If this card would be destroyed, you can remove 1 Wonderland Counter from it instead. [spoiler=Wonderland - Alice (LIGHT)]You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 LIGHT "Wonderland" monster you control. If you do, you can return all LIGHT "Wonderland" monsters in your Graveyard to your Deck. Your Deck is then shuffled. When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of "Through the Looking Glass", it gains the following effect:- You can remove 3 Wonderland Counters from "Through the Looking Glass" to Special Summon 1 LIGHT "Wonderland" monster from your hand or Graveyard. Each time a LIGHT "Wonderland" monster is Normal Summoned, place 1 Wonderland Counter on "Through the Looking Glass". [spoiler=Wonderland - Alice (DARK)]You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 DARK "Wonderland" monster you control. If you do, you can remove from play monsters in your opponent's Graveyard up to the number of DARK "Wonderland" monsters in your Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of "Through the Looking Glass", it gains the following effect:-You can remove 3 Wonderland Counters from "Through the Looking Glass" to destroy all face-down and non-"Wonderland" monsters on the field. For each LIGHT monster destroyed by this effect, place 1 Wonderland Counter on "Through the Looking Glass". I hope you like the idea :) You don't need to take the Alice theme if you don't like it, you could also translate it too... I don't know, "Twilight" monsters or something ;) I hope you can understand that this Archetype would obviously have 2 Ace Monsters, therefor I had to post both. dogfish44
If you want pictures tell me, but I prefer written cards. [spoiler=Binary Monsters]Binary Monsters are Thunder-Type monsters, which focus on field swarming, and controlling both levels and tokens. They rely a LOT on there field spell. They have the unique power to break themselves down into 'B Counters' for later usage. They can be high level monsters with 0 ATK and DEF, but easily summonable (No tribiutes needed for level 12, etc.). They have 12 synchro monsters, 1 for levels 1 through 12 each, and each except the last doubles up as a necessary tuner. Also, each Synchro, when used for a synchro summon, has its level increased by 1. I'll show you 5 example cards: Data Storage FacilityField SpellWhenever a 'Binary' monster is sent to the graveyard, except for a Synchro Summon, place 'B Counters' on this card equal to the level of the card. If this card would be destroyed, you can remove 1 'B Counter' from this card to prevent its destruction. Remove 2 'B Counters' from this card to Special Summon a 'Binary Data Token' (LIGHT/Level 0/Thunder-Type/0 ATK/0 DEF) to your side of the field. Revmove 3 'B Counters' from this card to draw 2 cards. Binary RecoderLevel 1 TunerLight / Thunder0 ATK / 0 DEFDiscard 3 cards to draw 1 card Binary Battler - Version 1.0Level 1 Synchro/TunerLight / Thunder0 ATK / 0 DEFBinary recoder + 1 or more non-tuner monstersThis card cannot be destroyed in battle. Discard 2 cards to draw 1 card. When used for a synchro summon, increase this cards level by 1. Each time you level up, a new ability is added on, keeping the rest, until eventually... Binary Battler - Version 12.0Level 12 SynchroLight / Thunder0 ATK / 0 DEFBinary Battler - Version 11.0 + 1 or more non-tuner monsters.*Lots of effects, including one to raise attack* It's open ended! Also, an example Binary Card: Binary HeroLevel 4 effectLight / Thunder0 ATK / 0 DEFWhen this card is summonned, increase this cards level to 12. Select 2 'Binary' monsters in your deck and send them to the graveyard to make the ATK of all your opponents monsters 0 until the end phase, and treat the ATK of this card as 50 during the battle phase. If you do this, only this card can attack during this turns battle phase, and this card must attack all of your opponents monsters. Just some rough ideas. Tell me what you think ^_^. The Sleeping Dude
Here's my entry cards ill join BTW. [spoiler=Ace Card]Lore:1 "Cyber Assault" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters"Cyber Assault" monsters cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, you can discard 1 Machine-Type monster to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Cyber Assault" monster from your Graveyard. [spoiler=Field Card]Lore:"Cyber Assault" monsters can only be targeted by a card effect once. Once per turn, you cad discard 1 Machine-Type monster to your Graveyard, to send 1 "Cyber Assault" monster from your deck to your Graveyard. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon from your Graveyard "Cyber Assault" monsters as many as possible in face-up Attack Position. Hila Ⅰ
I hope its not too late to enter :) [spoiler= Shogun] This card can be Special Summoned from your hand by tributing 1 monster with "Chosokabe" monster while you control 3 or more face up "Chosokabe" monsters. If a "Takeda" , "Iwagawa" or "Shimmazu" card is Summoned, destroy it. Once per turn you can place the top 2 cards of your deck face down in your Spell and Trap card zones. You cannot look at these. During your next Standby Phase you can select 1 of the face down cards and look at it. If it is a monster put it in your hand. If it is a Spell or Trap card set it back down on the field. [spoiler= The Castle] As long as this card is face up on the field any cards with "Chosokabe" in their card name gain 1000 ATK points during the damage step of a Battle with a monster with 1500 ATK or more. If a "Chosokabe" monster were to be destroyed, you can send cards from the top of your deck to the Graveyard equal to it's level to keep it on the field. If you have not controlled a "Chosokabe" monster for 3 Standby phases, destroy this card.

Ghost Rare
Here is my idea. Greed cards, focus on drawing as in the real game (Pot of Greed,Jar of Greed) these cards can be very strong but all have the drawback of having to discard cards if they are on the field at end phase and that is where the field spell comes in to help. World of GreedField Spell CardOnce per turn, if you control a "Greed" monster you can draw 1 card. During the End Phase of your turn when you would discard a card(s) from your hand due to the effect of a "Greed" monster you can pay 500 Life Points per card to negate that effect. If a "Greed" monster you control is destroyed by your opponent you can remove this card and the "Greed" monster that was destroyed from play to draw cards equal to the Level of the removed monster. Greed KingFiend/Effect/DARKLvl 8/ 2400ATK/ 2300DEFOnce per turn, draw 1 card for every other "Greed" monster you control. If this card is on your field during your End Phase you must discard your entire hand to the Graveyard. Another 2 cards just for ideas Greed CretinFiend/Effect/DARKLvl 3/1300ATK/1100DEFIf this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent you can draw 1 card. If this card is on your field during your End Phase discard 2 cards from your hand. Greed DemonFiend/Effect/DARKLvl 4/1500ATK/1200DEFOnce per turn, draw 1 card and show it to your opponent. Apply the following effect for the Type of card drawn:- Monster: Destroy 1 monster on the field.- Spell: Destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field.- Trap: Draw 1 more card.If this card is on your field during your End Phase discard 3 cards from your hand.
