Aesirson
"So it is you!" Xero said and smiled faintly, but he got her message and once she got off him he stod up again. "I got it. But I'm most interested in what is ging on, so if you dn't mind I will stay." He smiled victoriously, as he understood that she had no other choice than to let him stay, since he would reveal her identity if she didn't. "You can trust me, you have done so before, and you will again." He looked at the others. "Hello there, my name is Xero Juutin!" He waved to them and smiled innocently. Premier Alexander Romanov
The Capturer probably scowled at him, but since no one else saw her face, it was uncertain if she did. "Fine, but stop lurking around like you have something to hide. Also, if you do tell any of them who I am before I do, I will throw you into a quantum singularity! On the other hand, I might as well put you to work if you are going to stick around..." Her faceplate retracted and she walked out, subtly motioning for Xero to follow her. "Sorry about that." She told the others in the distorted voice she had when her helmet was completely on. "I ran into an associate of mine. He will be helping you all against our common enemies."
Aesirson
Even though this was what he expected he was a bit shocked about the statement, but nodded in approval. "As I said. My name is Xero Juutin, and I am a student of the Obelisk Blue dorm, as you can see on my outfit. A bit of hair fell over his eye and he moved it away graciously. "So this common enemy that we have, he -or they- use three cards that you should be on the lookout for. They are particularly created to counter Synchro Monsters, and that is why you should be careful when using those." Premier Alexander Romanov
The Capturer added to what Xero said. "Yes. For some reason or another, the Machine Emperors, which were sealed here in the Vault, along with many other cards, have been stolen, and are currently being used by some of the students, maybe even some teachers. I do not know how or why they were stolen, but it was obviously for some unknown agenda. I also do not know who these people are, especially since they might have alternate decks that they are using, so please be on the lookout for any strange incidents. Xero and I will try our best to help you. Also, you may call me...Teslarc..." Her voice changed again, this time sounding sultry and mature, but still a bit distorted, and not at all like the tone she whispered to Xero, though no one but Xero and herself knew what she really sounded like. Aesirson
I guess this takes time before that event for her. Xero threw a glance at the Capturer. That would explain how she recognized me when she was summoned to AD13, and why she doesn't now. Xero looked at the bunch of people in front of him. They didn't look like they could put up a fight in Xero's opinion, but they would have to do. After all, they needed all the help they could get if they were even to find the Machine Emperors. Xero didn't feel any especially strong presences from the duelists, but knowing the Emperors they were probably capable of hiding their power aura, and any of these people could possess one. "Any... questions?" Xero said slowly in a kind of taunting tone.
Blackstone Dresden
"Aki, I don't WANT your boyfriend to fall in love with me." Elisa said, again speaking slow to avoid stuttering, "I'm not attracted to men. Any men. At all." Drake sarcastically raised his hand, "Ya, Zero, I've got a question for ya." He said, flashing him the blank Synchro Monster card he owned, though it now had 8 Level stars and the card image filled in, "Can you tell me why my Signer Dragon's card is being filled in just by being around you?" He flicked the card up into the air and had it slide perfectly into his Extra Deck compartment on his Duel Disk, "Kinda makes me wonder what would happen if you and I Dueled. Maybe Six would get his name back." He chuckled and walked closer to the new person, "Maybe you turned traitor against us and you're the one that screwed with my Dragon's head. So, did you go over to the dark side?" Mark walked over to Wildheart, keeping him solid, "You know, as soon as I leave you here, you're gonna be intangible again and won't be able to hold your own card." He mused, "So I guess I'm stuck here, unless you wanna give me a hand unloading my truck, that is. It's the least you could do since I gave you mass and everything."
Premier Alexander Romanov
Aki sighed and rubbed Elisa's back. "Elisa, I don't want to cheat on my boyfriend, to put it bluntly, but I don't want to break up with him, either. I want to make both of you happy. Do you have an idea on how I can keep my current relationship and love you without hurting either of you? I have plenty of love to go around!" Meanwhile, Aki sent a message to Rayos. <Rayos, we need to talk. Now.> Teslarc answered for Xero. "Xero did not do anything to your Dragon, but all will be revealed in good time. Kingdom Xathers
"Hold on just one minute, Mark," Wildheart told the Signer, before turning the other way and closing his eyes in a meditative state as he attempted to make contact with Luisa through another copy of his card. "Luisa, are you in the Dorm yet?" he said telepathically. "Yes, I'm in my room right now," Luisa replied as she picked up a copy of Wildheart's card from the surface of her deck. "Did something happen?" "Not really; though by the looks of it, the Capturer seems to be on our side for now," Wildheart answered. "We won't have to worry about her for a while. There is something I wanted to ask you, though." "Uh, sure," said a perplexed Luisa. "I'm going to give this copy of my card to Mark," Wildheart said. "You know, in case either of you need me to be physical again, or in case we need to contact him, like we are doing right now." "Oh, but of course!" Luisa answered enthusiastically. She was perfectly alright with this since she had many copies of Wildheart's card anyway. "Great. Glad you're okay with this," Wildheart said. "Looks like I'll be helping him unload his truck in a bit, so I'll see you a bit later." "No problem, Wildheart," Luisa said. "Like I said, be careful, okay?" "Trust me, I will," Wildheart replied with a slight chuckle. "Later." Getting out of his trance-like state, he then handed his card to Mark. "In case we need to talk or make me physical again," he explained. "So, shall we get going?"
Aesirson
Xero tried to stop Teslarc from talking, but he was a bit too slow and coldn't before she ended her sentence. He simple turned his face towards Drake and grinned. "What if I did?" He sad in a more taunting tone. "And I promise you that the only thing you would accomplish by dueling me would be a powerful headache, a crying face and..." He stopped at that and chuckled. "Anyway. I think... Teslarc, right? I think Teslarc is right. You should probably get to your dorms, it's going to get stormy out here soon. Trust me, I know." He turned to the Capturer and nodded. "If you don't find me I'll find you. I'll be seeing you around." He turned and walked into the forest again, disappearing in the shadows. Blackstone Dresden
"OK, well can you in... introduce me to him as just your roommate?" Elisa asked Aki, "I don't want anyone else to know about me just yet." Mark nodded, his eyes and hand still glowing as his Ice Barrier Monsters faded away. In fact, it wasn't until Moon Dragon Quilla was returned to her spirit form that they stopped. The blonde haired shopkeeper slid Wildheart's card into his Deck for safekeeping and walked away from the arena, "Hey, Drake, we'll settle our issues later." He called over his shoulder as he and the spirit walked away, "So. Luisa's not exactly the most perceptive girl alive, is she?" He asked, referring to how she didn't seem to acknowledge the silver-white light emitting from his eyes and palm like a flashlight, "She sorta reminds me of Jack Atlas's wife, to be honest." Drake just shook his head, "Arrogant jackass..." He muttered to James, though whether he was referring to Xero or Mark was uncertain, and looked up at the too dark sky, "Though Xero did have a point, we should probably get the Hell out of here before anymore weirdness shows up. I don't like Dueling in the rain, it pisses of my Red-Eyes and Volcanic Monsters and rusts Power Tool. And don't even get me started on Six whenever I get him on the field. Have you ever heard a three headed Dragon b*tch about the weather in three different voices? It's not a fun experience."
Premier Alexander Romanov
Aki agreed. "I will. He will understand." She then heard a booming sound, and looked out to see that a thunderstorm was rolling towards the Island. "Well, it looks like our stargazing has been unfortunately been canceled due to inclement weather." She started back to her room. "Would you like to cuddle in my bed with me?" The Capturer, or "Teslarc", or whatever her name was, jumped into the air, and her strange one-wheeled Duel Runner appeared beneath he, already in motion. She sat down on the moving vehicle, her legs inserting themselves into special slots, and a holographic display popped up around her. She wrapped her fingers around semi-transparent, semi-solid handles that seemed to act as the controls, and gunned the engine, sending the mysterious motorcycle and its equally enigmatic driver off into the woods at breakneck speeds. Kingdom Xathers
"Well, if she ever does notice something very out-of-the-ordinary, she doesn't always show it," Wildheart replied. "Still, being a bit of a klutz doesn't help, even though that's not as bad now as it was years ago. Long story, don't ask," he added. "Luisa would probably kill me for saying that. But yeah, I can see what you mean about her being like Mrs. Atlas. In fact, Mrs. Atlas was Luisa's inspiration for wanting to become a reporter." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After finishing his shower (mostly to clean the blood from his fur), Alex sat at his desk, looking over his lesson plan for tomorrow: teach Card Combos for the first half-hour, and begin reading "Tale of the Huge Revolution" for the remainder of the period, to be continued for homework. Nearby, Umbris stirred on Alex's bed, returning to consciousness after having had his tail set on fire. "Ah, you're awake," Alexander said to the Pantail. "Are you feeling any better?" "Mm-hm," Umbris nodded. "My tail still stings a bit, though." He tried wagging it, though it only moved somewhat stiffly. "Somehow, I feel like that was my fault," Alexander stated humbly with a sad smile. "No, don't say that. I was the one who tried to read your thoughts," Umbris admitted. "What was that about, anyway? All I saw was you surrounded by a burning fire?" As Umbris said that, Alexander's face immediately became blank as he went silent. Somehow, the mention of fire made his mind go blank, though he couldn't understand why. "Alexander?" Umbris asked, though he received no response. "Alexander!!" The Pantail's shouting snapped Alex out of his trance. "Huh? What just...?" "Alexander, are you sure you're alright?" "Y-yeah, I'm fine," Alexander replied, though his tone of voice hinted that he was unsure. "I just need to go the bed." The lombax got up from his desk and strode over to his bed, laying down without bothering to cover himself with the blankets. "Good night, Umbris." "Um... yeah, good night," said the Chrysalis Pantail as he, too, returned to Alexander's subconsciousness to rest. She asked, somehow managing to sound flirtatious without losing her shy charm. "And you seem to take that craziness in stride too." Mark mused, "Or did you not notice my little light show?" The Duelist adjusted his sunglasses and pulled his left glove up higher on his hand. "Granted, if I were a seven foot tall Spirit-slash-superhero that regularly fused with either a golden minotaur or a green bird man thing, I would probably just go with some weird sh*t like this too." Merci
"Are you going to gawk all day, Grand Emperor?" Servant asked. "Evil is a matter of perspective. Anyway, when I have finally established a trio, I think I'll be the leader, assuming that the third Emperor is as ignorant as you are. I have figured out that you need to duel someone in order to gain recollection of your destiny. From now on, you are the Grand Emperor, after that card in your deck, 'Machine Emperor Grannel Infinity'. I am the Wise Emperor, after a card in my deck called 'Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity'. I don't know anything about the third Emperor, but you may as well follow me. Once you duel someone, the Infinity should come to you. A Signer, perhaps. Premier Alexander Romanov
Aki sat down on the edge of the bed with Elisa. "Elisa, I am very sorry. Aesirson
Xero now sat on a chair in the hallway inside the Obelisk Blue Boy's mansion. A couple of students passed by him, but no one seemed to take notice of him until one boy, probably a first year, walked by, stopped and stared at him. It took a while before Xero cared about him. "What are you looking at?" He asked with a chilling tone. "I just arrived here." The boy simply said. "You look like a strong duelist!" Theboy smiled. Xero didn't. "And how can you possibly tell?" He asked in the same chilling tone. "I dunno, just can!" The boy said, starting to feel that Xero didn't want to talk, and then ran away. Xero looked after him and then stood up. I should start looking for her, she may want to know what's going on.
Kingdom Xathers
Going about some personal business, Nat walked past Xero in the hallway, seemingly taking no notice of him. However, he felt a peculiar vibe from him that he couldn't quite explain. In spite of this, he continued on his way to his dorm room. "Something bothering you, Nathaniel?" asked Verde the Naturia Beast. "That guy...," Nat said slowly under his breath. "Something just doesn't seem right about him. As a matter of fact, a lot of people nowadays seem to have something strange about them." "Is that so?" Nat nodded slightly, though to surrounding people, he seemed to be only walking, not having a conversation with an entity only visible to him. "I guess... ever since Professor Abernathy came around, I've been noticing strange things more often. You know, like that guy that Luisa was with, with the blond hair and shades. I could have sworn that guy was lighting up like a Christmas tree." "There's a reason for that, Nathaniel," said the Naturia Beast. "He's what is known as--" "A Signer," Nat completed. "I know what a Signer is, I've read the articles about the Fortune Cup and the World Riding Grand Prix." "But do you know the whole story? About the Crimson Dragon?" "Should I?" shrugged Nat. "Perhaps I should give you a history lesson, then," Verde concluded as they entered Nat's room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You're forgetting a blood-red hellspawn," Wildheart replied. "But that's another thing entirely. As for your light show, I noticed that. "So, you're a Signer, huh? You and your brother? That's interesting," Wildheart mused. "If what the Capturer said is true, that the Signers are gathering here for a reason, then...." He trailed off as he gave off a heavy sigh. "No rest for the wicked, I'll tell you that," he said almost as an aside. At that moment, Wildheart's senses instinctively went off as he sensed a number of savage entities surrounding him and Mark. He looked around to see that they were encircled by a pack of wolves emerging from the woods. Or rather, a pack of wolf-like Duel Spirits. "Where did you come from...?" Wildheart mused to himself, reaching for his sword in case he had to fend the wolf-spirits off. His attention was then directed to the presence of a human approaching them. The man in question had a ragged appearance, wearing only a pair of tattered jeans and a faded red jacket draped over his shoulders, an Academy Duel Disk attached to his left arm. He stared down Wildheart and Mark, a rather hungry look in his piercing grey eyes. "Well, well, wot do we 'ave 'ere, then?" the man said with a heavy Cockney British accent. "I 'eaven and 'ell wasn't expectin' a meal ter come wanderin' in tonight." As he came closer to Mark and Wildheart, the ring of wolves began to disperse. "Meal, huh?" Wildheart replied, barely perturbed by what he perceived as a threat to be devoured by some lunatic. "I hope you don't think this "meal" is going to be for free--" "Of course not, ya bloody idiot," interrupted the man. "Na, where would the bloody fan in that be?" As he said this, he activated his Duel Disk, while another Duel Spirit, a bipedal werewolf with wires connected to its chest, appeared sneering by his side. "I'd rather duel for me meal." He was now addressing Mark. "I just 'ope ya put up a Gypsy Nell of a fight; makes it aw the bleedin' better for me soon as I win! I'll even let ya make the bloomin' Damien Hirst move." "This guy cannot be serious," Wildheart thought to himself. "And what the hell's a 'Damien Hirst'?" Elisa said, resting her head on Aki's shoulder and wrapping her arms around the girl's waist. "Sola, what in the f*ck has gotten into your mind?" Drake asked, "I'm the head of fully one third of the student body and, more importantly, your f*cking boss. Where the Hell do you get off with trying to tell me what to do? If I want to have a late night Riding Duel with a friend of mine, who is also a teacher here, in case you didn't get that memo, then I will." "Ah, you know about them, eh?" Mark asked, "Can't be too surprised, I guess. I'm sure their Dragons are basically the SWAT team where you're from. But no, I'm not a Signer." He rolled up both his sleeves, "See, for Signers, the Mark goes on their arm, not the back of the palm, and their eyes don't glow. No, I'm something completely different." As he finished, he sighed, "Wildheart, any chance that you can just cut these quite literal sons of b*tches in half so we can get on with our lives?"
Kingdom Xathers
"'Ey!" the man shouted, pointing a finger at Wildheart. "Ya touch even wahn Barnet Fair on their Crust of Bread, and I will personally tear off your thumb-suckin' Chalk Farm and feed it ter that bloke (pointing now at Mark) up 'is thumb-suckin' butte!" Wildheart stood there for a second, trying to comprehend what the man had just told him. "... okay, so let me see if I got the gist of it; you just said that if I attack even one of your, uh, "friends" here, that you're going to tear off my arm and feed it to Mark through his rec--you know, you have such a vibrant and vulgar vocabulary!" Wildheart commented. "But, seriously, there's really no need to do something that drastic--!" he said before cutting himself off as a Silver Fang lunged at him at that moment. Before it could sink its fangs into Wildheart, the Elemental Hero had slammed his fist into the wolf's muzzle, sending it crashing to the ground with a shrill whimper. "That was self-defense, by the way," Wildheart declared. Suffice to say, the "wolf-man" was not happy about that. "You're gonna regret doin' that," he sneered, revealing his unusually sharp canine teeth. "Bof of ya!" At that moment, four more wolves began to attack Wildheart, leaping at him and biting down into his flesh. Yelling out in pain, the Elemental Hero struggled to throw off the lupines, while even more wolves began to close in on Mark. "Na, i'm not garn ter ask ya again," the man growled. "If ya wanna leef 'ere wif your 'ides, ya 'ad Mae West defeat me in a duel, and I will not be takin' nah for an answer. Unless ya want your friend's blood on your German Bands, that is." "Mark, I'll be fine!" Wildheart shouted as he threw one of the wolves attacking him into a nearby tree. "Just beat this guy and get outta here!" Reinforce
David reached the arena only to find, to his dismay, that the Red-Eyes was gone and there was no-one inside the arena. Because he had missed seeing anyone again, and that the storm was nearly here, he started walking back to the dorm, enjoying the fresh ocean breeze through the air.
