Bringerofcake
*Note: These names are entirely made up. There is a forest in the Duel Monsters world, they say, that has frozen in time. The grass below your feet cracks as you walk on it. Your arm is cut by a falling leaf. You realize: the entire forest is completely petrified. That's when the ground reaches out and grabs your legs. Before you even realize that you're trapped, an arrow hits you in the chest. You can feel the petrification permeating you, your arms locked in an unchanging numbness, legs stock still and cold. As the curse makes its way to your eyes and ears, a slender man with pointed ears drops from the sky and plucks the arrow from your heart. "You have trespassed on the territory of the Ilven-ka" he tells you, calm eyes glaring upon your frozen form. He turns and leaves, catching a leaf in his fingers and snapping it to dust. A new fixture has been added to the forest. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Rilkeed, the Petrified Forest Field Spell Once per turn, you can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Rock-type "-ka" monster from your hand. If it is Summoned in Defense Position, your opponent cannot select it as an attack target until their 2nd Battle Phase after this effect's activation. Your opponent cannot select face-down Defense Position monsters as attack targets. If a non-Rock or Warrior-type monster does not attack, at that turn's End Phase its DEF becomes 0.
Ilven-Baakan, Mother of the Trees EARTH Warrior/Tuner 1/500/300 If you control a Rock-type Tuner monster, this card is treated as a non-Tuner monster. If this card is Normal Summoned, and you control "Rilkeed, the Petrified Forest", add 1 Rock-type Tuner monster with a Level identical to this card's Level from your Deck to your hand. Ilven-Soshin, Branch-cutter EARTH Warrior/Effect 2/900/500 If "Rilkeed, the Petrified Forest" is on the field, once per turn you can Special Summon 1 "Petrified Branch Token" (EARTH/Rock-type/Level 2/ATK 500/DEF 400). If this card would be removed from the field by a card effect, you can destroy a "Petrified Branch Token" instead. Ilven-Madu, The Taunting Voice EARTH Warrior/Effect 4/500/1000 If "Rilkeed, the Petrified Forest" is on the field, this card cannot be attacked. Monsters your opponent controls that do not attack lose 500 ATK until your next End Phase. Ilven-Kukotei, Tuning Blocker EARTH Warrior/Tuner 3/1300/700 If this card attacks or is attacked by a Synchro Monster, change both cards to Defense Position before Damage Calculation. Ilven-Morek, the Stone Shooter EARTH Warrior/Effect 3/900/1200 When this card attacks an opponent's monster, it is not destroyed, and you take no battle damage. When this card attacks a monster, after Damage Calculation it is switched to Defense Position, and its DEF is reduced to 0. It cannot change its Battle Position, even with a card effect until your opponent's next Main Phase. Ilven-Sybhan, Bow Caster EARTH Warrior/Effect 4/1700/900 When a Rock-type monster is destroyed by battle, you can add an "Ilven-" monster from your deck to your hand. Ilven-Gei Jin, Foster of the Land EARTH Warrior/Tuner 2/500/700 If this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "Rilkeed, the Petrified Forest" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Mohken-ka, Father of the Land EARTH Warrior/Tuner 1/300/500 If you control a Warrior-type Tuner monster, this card is treated as a non-Tuner monster. If this card is Normal Summoned, and you control "Rilkeed, the Petrified Forest", add 1 Warrior-type Tuner monster with a Level identical to this card's Level from your Deck to your hand. Sylbek-ka, Captain of the Guard EARTH Rock/Effect 6/2100/1900 Each time a "-ka" monster destroys a monster with a DEF of 0 by battle, your opponent randomly discards a card from their hand. Menyek-ka, the Stone Hammer EARTH Rock/Effect 4/1900/0 If this card battles a Defense Position monster with 0 DEF, destroy it with this card's effect without applying Damage Calculation. Sodek-ka, The Listening Stone EARTH Rock/Tuner 4/400/2300 Monsters that battle this card cannot attack during your opponent's next Battle Phase. Lamen-ka, Truth Sculptor EARTH Rock/Effect 4/1600/1600 When this card is destroyed by your opponent's card, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "-ka" monster from your Deck.

Ilven-ka Toneiset EARTH Warrior/Synchro/Effect 7/2300/1500 1 Warrior-type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Rock-type monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned, select 1 monster your opponent controls. It is changed to Defense Position, has its DEF reduced to 0, its effect negated, and it cannot change battle position. When this card destroys a 0 DEF monster by battle, add 1 "Ilven" or "-ka" monster from your Deck to your hand. Ilven-ka Mokisuno EARTH Warrior/Synchro/Effect 6/2100/2000 1 Warrior-type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Rock-type monsters This card can attack an additional amount of times equal to the amount of Defense Position monsters your opponent controls at the start of the Battle Phase. Each time this card destroys a Defense Position monster by battle, add 1 "Ilven" or "-ka" monster in your Graveyard to your hand. Ilven-ka Sorikashin EARTH Rock/Synchro/Effect 8/2900/1500 1 Rock-type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Warrior-type monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned, either change all monsters on the field to face-up Defense Position, or reduce the DEF of all face-up monsters, except Rock-type monsters, to 0. Ilven-ka Senkusho EARTH Rock/Synchro/Effect 6/2400/1200 1 Rock-type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Warrior-type monsters Once per turn, you can remove this card from play to negate 1 attack from your opponent's monster, and change that monster to Defense Position. Its DEF becomes 0. Return this card to play at the end of your next End Phase. Ilven-ka Kukokaishen-Horiko EARTH Warrior/Synchro/Effect 10/3800/1900 1 Warrior-type Tuner + 1 Rock-type Tuner + 1 or more Warrior or Rock-type Synchro Monsters This card is also treated as Rock-type. This card cannot be destroyed by battle during your Battle Phase. When this card battles a monster, after Damage Calculation, change that monster to Defense Position, and decrease its DEF to 0. Other monsters in Defense Position have their effects negated. This card cannot be destroyed by effects that destroy 1 card. Ilven-ka Mistemzis, the Prodigy EARTH Rock/Synchro/Tuner 2/100/100 1 Warrior or Rock-type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Warrior or Rock-type monsters This card is also treated as Warrior-type. The Synchro Material monsters for this card must be different types. When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can return 3 Warrior and/or Rock-type monsters to your deck to draw 3 cards. During your opponent's Main Phase, you can Synchro Summon using this face-up card you control as a Synchro Material Monster. Ilven-ka Funorai-Hokkiken EARTH Rock/Synchro/Effect 9/3500/3900 "Ilven-ka Mistemzis, the Prodigy" + 1 or more Synchro Monsters When this card battles an opponent's monster, if it is not destroyed, change all non-"Ilven" or "Ka" monsters to Defense Position. After activating this effect, the DEF of all monsters your opponent controls is 0. If this card attacks with an ATK higher than the DEF of your opponent's monster, deal Battle Damage equal to the difference. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, it is not destroyed by that battle. Ilven-Ka Toshiken-Makkikai EARTH Warrior/Exceed/Effect RANK 4/2100/2100 1 Level 4 Warrior-type monster + 1 Level 4 Rock-type monster This card gains 300 ATK and DEF for each Exceed Material Monster. You can remove an Exceed Material Monster to change a monster on the field to face-up Defense Position. Its DEF is now 0.

Ka-Kohr Arrow Normal Spell Activate only if you control an "Ilven" monster. Select 1 monster your opponent controls. Change that monster to face-up Defense Position, its DEF becomes 0 and it cannot change its Battle Position while it is face-up on the field. Sealing Stone Continuous Spell If you control a "ka" monster, the effects of monsters your opponent controls with 0 DEF are negated. Stone Arrow of Sealing Counter Trap Activate while you control an "Ilven" monster. Negate the activation and effect of a Spell or Trap card. That card remains on the field, and if it is removed from the field, it is removed from play. Petrified Accumulation Normal Trap Select 1 Warrior-type monster and 1 Rock-type monster on the field. The Level of the Rock-type monster becomes equal to the Level of the Warrior-type monster. Neither monster can be used as a Synchro Material monster this turn.
Link to comment
-Griffin
@ Kukotei Before Damage Calculation, right? @ Field Spell Earthbound or Legendary Fisherman if you only control face-down defence? "your opponent cannot select it as an attack target until their next Battle Phase." I'm interested at how they attack before their Battle Phase. Interested where this goes - it feels like something that needs finishing. Link to comment
Bringerofcake
@ Kukotei Before Damage Calculation, right? Yep. Edited to reflect as such. @ Field Spell Earthbound or Legendary Fisherman if you only control face-down defence? I'm going to say Earthbound, but I can reword it to Fisherman if need be. "your opponent cannot select it as an attack target until their next Battle Phase." I'm interested at how they attack before their Battle Phase. I had meant to word it like Lemur, but I guess it came out wrong. Fixed. Interested where this goes - it feels like something that needs finishing. I'm aiming for the length of one of my old Archetypes, like Pentagrams or Ryoma-ru, but with slightly more development.
Will haz new cards up later today. Link to comment

-Griffin
Just noticed Veritable = Cakey. Mind = blown. The set's pretty big by now. Could you add a playbook? Looking through them all and trying to find their best tactics right off the bat is a bit of a task. Link to comment
