Sploda
1000+ dead, death rate climbing. America has placed Military assets there to assist in any and all evacuation and recovery efforts. Where did Stark live?
DL
Japan. Then he came to America for like 3 days, around 3 days ago. So I'm not sure if he was there for the quake or not.
Jake the Sage
Probably not . . . And America has military and political interests to help out Japan, unlike Haiti where we did it "out of the kindness of our hearts" You call it being a cynic and pessimistic . . . Blake
You missed what I was saying. I was saying he's no more important than a random druggy who died in the earthquake. They're both people, and both deserve the same reverance towards their death.
DL
But in the eyes of human he is more important ;< Also, LP needs to play this song for Japan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SC70HxuM64k

DL
Definitely right, but sadly, we are humans, and most humans would worry more about some than others. You would too, depending on the people. Would you worry more about a close friend, or a stranger? it is human nature.
Blake
It's understandable to lament more for those close to you. However, this man is nothing to most of us. He is the creator of a series we like. He has no connection to our hearts, beyond that, aand we've never met him. If he died some other time, fine, mourn for HIM. But if he dies in a catastrophe, mourn for the GROUP.

Blake
You shouldn't grieve more for him than a hobo. Someone is related to that hobo, too.
