"I... see..." Nera said, unsure of what to really say to Astral. She was glad that he told her these things, even though it seemed to be a sore point for him. And why wouldn't it be? She could easily see herself in his position, which she found kind of creepy. Instead of dwelling on that, she quickly drunk the last of her juice to help regain her composure.

"Well, what can we do now?" Nera then asked, though she was talking to Astral's back now, since he was focused on the painting in front of them. "I'm sure you didn't bring me here only to tell me your story, right?" This information would have been helpful five months ago, so she didn't have to go through... less than legal channels to acquire this information, and it would have been enough to at least jump-start investigations. But it would not be enough, especially now that she's inside Mass Eclipse, which limited her options.

Olivia gave a small hissing noise of annoyance and started thinking, and started to talk at the same time, in the quick manic voice again, "I doubt that dueling them would be a great idea, to be honest. I doubt your identity would be secret if you were spending a good few minutes talking with a guy, and it'd knock that duel token risk off the table wouldn't it. Though since we're stealing from an officer there are still massive risks. I think our best bet would be to draw one officer in here, it's too dark for them to see anything that clearly which I guess is why we haven't been noticed my cameras yet."

She paused for a moment, thinking to herself with her hand to her chin. After thinking it through a little more, she continued, still in her manic manner, "Yeah, we'll need to draw one guy in their own then knock him out before he gets a look at us. We're in a library so there's plenty of heavy objects. After he's gone down, we take his communicating thing and... Use it... We use it to get another guy in here then do the same thing to him... Or drop a bookcase on him... Actually, keep that as a backup... Anyway, we take both of those things and then, using, oh I don't know, a staple remover," Olivia pointed out the fanged device on one of the shelves of books, "Tear out whatever could be used to track them..." Olivia froze. She thought over what she had just gone through. It seemed crazy to her. Almost entirely insane.

"Erm... I'm sorry, but I probably went a little mad didn't I? We don't have to do this. If we are though, we'll have to do it quickly, it's getting late so we'll need to get back to our cells soon. I won't have any trouble getting back but I don't know where you need to be so... Damn it!" Olivia realised she was going off on a tangent again. "Going mad again... So what's going on?" She felt terrible that she spoke so fast and was forcing the decision making onto Lan but she knew that it was easier for her to escape if anything went wrong than it would be for him.

Lan looked at Olivia and then put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey...its going to be alright. We'll make it through this, OK?" he asked with a smile. "Now the idea you just had is good. There were two officers I sneaked past on my way here. If we can get them both in here and then decide to bash them in the head with a heavy book or bookcase, I'll grab the devices and give them to you so you can take whatever is in there to track them." Now, he went from being afraid to being brave and calm in no time at all. "So what do you say? Wanna help me get those two lousy excuses for officers in here??" he asked with a smirk.

Astral chuckled, he knew what Nera ment, and her reason here wasn't to tell her all this. He turned to face her and poured some more grape juice for both of them.

"The main reason why I brought you here is for the information you have." Astral said, "But I see now that I would need your help... I really don't know what we can do, I know if you were out of Eclipse you would put a stop to this prison."

At least, Nera would try. If she was cleared from Mass Eclipse, and she did go to work on this case again, she'd be thrown back here in no time. Astral knew he could be the only one to protect her, that is from the Celestial Impetus.

"But don't think just because your in here you can't research information. I can help you with anything you need." Astral said opening one of the drawers of his desk, taking out a small earpiece, "This will allow you to contact me on a private line. But don't worry about being caught for it, it doubles as a hearing aid." he started to laugh after he explained what the device could do. He couldn't help it, was he really going to go through with all this? It just seemed like a fairy tale, but now since he would have someone like Nera to help him, Astral knew he would have a good chance of success.

"But don't worry, if anything does happen, it'll be my head on the line. So you could get caught on purpose just to get rid of me." Astral smiled.

Nera shook her head at the off-hand comment Astral made. "Why would you even joke about something like that?" she said, frowning. She didn't like to think that she would do such a thing to him. Still, she took the earpiece and placed it in her ear as instructed. It was a little too snug; though that ensured that it wouldn't fall out mistakenly. Almost immediately after putting it on she could feel the amplification in that ear; it was a little disorienting and probably needed some time to get used to.

"Anyway, the scandal with Pure is surely a good place to start, but it may be better to look in other places as well," Nera said, getting back on topic. "Like that tournament that's being held. Something seems... off about it now that I think about it. Men and Women, a mysterious prize...." Nera then took out her Endless Frontier deck, with her Haken Browning card sitting face-up on top. "For once I'm actually looking forward to one of these tournaments," she added, smiling mischievously.

Returning to the hideout Lanz settled down, before putting his hands behind his head. He'd given the woman, Feraku, a single glance before fleeing and she seemed alright; so he didn't think anything bad had happened to her. She was faster than he could have imagined so he believed the chances of one of those tranqs actually hitting her was slim. Pulling up the screen of his PDA he clicked a couple buttons to pull up the guards intercom link. There was qiute a bit of word about him having been spotted and possibly having escaped again . . . however once he had heard they were about to call off the search he closed the machine; thus never hearing they had captured Feraku. Setting the PDA down he dug into his pockets and revealed his personal dueling deck, the 'Grace of Heavan and Hell'. Flipping through each card slowly he began to grin, thoughts drifting to the upcoming tournament.

The waiting room in the office building Nos Feraku was sitting at was rather different from the hole she was held up in, It almost looked like a regular office to her, The Gray-ish carpet-like floor with white walls. what was different was the chairs, they looked like the metal folding chairs she typically sees in various areas. she wanted to get out of her straitjacket badly, so she looked around in the office, then she found her answer, The corners of the receptionist's desk looked sharp enough to cut through, she got up and walked towards the receptionist's desk and started rubbing her back against the sharp corners of the desk.

"Just being sarcastic Ms. Tenei." Astral assured her, but knew that if something were to go wrong, it would be better if he was the one on the chopping block and not Nera.

He then noted her mischievous smile after mentioning the tournament, which in turn, caused him to smile also. Astral had all the information about it, the Head Warden proposed it to him in order to be official. This tournament wouldn't use DT's, but by winning your rounds. Astral had never dueled before, but he knew the basics and almost every card.

"The tournament's prize is one I personally approved myself. But I'm afraid if I gave you the details on that now, it wouldn't be fair." he chuckled, "I think it might be time we part ways, if you stay much longer those guards will start to get suspicious."

"Hah, I guess that'd be true," Nera said, pocketing her deck again. She was worried about the true nature of the prize, but if Astral approved of it, then perhaps it wouldn't be anything to worry about. Even so, she still found herself wondering about the nature of the prize, which she figured was the entire point of a mystery prize.

"I'll be leaving then, Mr. Phoenix. Stay in touch," she said, standing up. He was right; having a prisoner in this office for this long is bound to have problems. She walked up in front of the door she entered and expected them to open, but to no avail, thanks to the extra door Astral set up in front of it.

"So... uhh... How am I supposed to leave?"

"You don't." Astral said with a shuddering expression, then started laughing and stood up, "M-My apologies. Here." he walked towards the door, near her, and pressed a few buttons on the side. The extra door slid back revealing the more elegant one, but the other door didn't open yet, Astral then turned to face Nera.

"If anything happens, contact me immediantly," Astral said with concern in his voice, but he knew she would be fine on her own. Astral then let out a sigh, "Please, take care of yourself."

Even though this was his first time meeting Nera, they've developed a trust, however small it was. Astral couldn't bare the thought of anything going wrong for her, he would make it a point not to let anything happen to her.

after a few minutes of scraping her back against the desk, Nos Feraku finally tore off the straitjacket, but she battered up the back of her prison suit as well, revealing her bare, scarred back, what was even better was that her tailfeathers flew outward, which allowed her to retract them a lot more easier. she sighed and waited for the head warden, unaware that this wasn't his office and that she was actually in some other policeman's office.

Robert received a message into his inbox and he impulsively clicked it. It was information that a tournament was coming in the prison and nothing more. He had his ways of getting information. So acting in the interest of preparing he loaded his virtual duel sims and inserted his deck information. Running 1000 duels in the blink of an eye the results came back, along with cards it was recommended he remove and add. "You have won 753/1000 Duels it is recommended that you..." The computer began listing the cards for each respective deck as he wrote the information into a Microsoft Word document. "Dammit this place is dull.." He said with a sigh.

"You too," Nera replied, nodding in response. The door opened and once again the guards were waiting for her, VID in hand. Nera sighed as she stepped outside. "Alright, go ahead and put it on," she said, raising her arms in surrender, "No need to rough me up this time."
Nera soon found herself escorted back to her cell by the guards, much the same way she was sent to Astral's office. She ran through a checklist through her head of what she needed to do with her time, preferably before the tournament started.

First, she needed to head to the library to check up on current events. Sure, the information sent down is filtered and censored, but every once in awhile something slips through the cracks. She just hoped that some papers would be left by the time she got there.

Then, she needed to get a hold of some maps or plans for Mass Eclipse. Not only of places where prisoners are allowed to go, but the entire complex. Of particular note would be the solitary confinement areas, Nera would want to be able to meet Pure at some point, after all. She had learned about an inmate who is known as 'The Hookup', specializing in getting stuff into Mass Eclipse. She never really needed his services, but he was a hacker, she heard, so perhaps she should pay him a visit.

Finally, she needed some duel practice. She has a pretty good record, and is pretty much the best duelist in her little circle of acquaintances. However, duels against others happened rarely for her, since she does not take kindly to the Duel Token system. But she needed to get out of her comfort zone, so just this once, she'll look for duels out in public.

With her goals set, Nera walked out of her cell, towards her first stop, the library. As Nera walked passed the other cells, her common duel partners looked up at her, wondering why she suddenly looked so determined. They haven't seen her like this in about a month. Nera often spoke about shaking things up when she first arrived in Mass Eclipse, so they assumed that something big was going to happen in the next few days...

Astral waited until Nera and the escorting officers were out of sight until he closed his office's door. He admired how she acted, strong, intelligent, and a bit sarcastic, even with the two officers. She wouldn't fail. She couldn't. Astral then sat behind his desk and poured some more grape juice to drink.

'Here's to you Ms. Tenei,' he thought with a grim smile, raising his glass in the empty room, 'and that everything goes well for you.'

[Location: Mass Eclipse, UNKNOWN AREA]

Suddenly something thin and very fast hit the cards that Lanz was holding and make a sharp crack sound, causing them to scatter across the floor. There was an intruder only a couple of feet away from him, and the person was holding an object in their right hand which appeared to be a rope, or a whip. The intruder had a slender build and a coat that covered the bottom half of their face, it seemed to be a woman in her mid 20s.

"You're not as good of a 'Ghost' as I thought you would be." the woman scoffed, moving some of her short black hair away from her eyes.

The female took one step closer towards Lanz, not taking her bright green eyes off him for a second.

"Well you'd be suprised," Lanz confidently replied back with a grin before raising a CI regulation tranq gun, obviously empty. He had always kept a weapon beside him even when he was 'at home' and practiced for weeks on end to be able to fight back at any time, though he knew that when he was asleep he'd never be able to fight back, but security sensors fixed that little flaw. Staring back at the woman he looked down her arm at the tranq needle, designed with a paralysis rather than a knock out formula, and then back at her face. With a whistle he reloaded the gun, knockout formula this go 'round, and tilted his head at her, "Now why is it all the good looking girls carry whips? Not that I'm complaining . . . now, why don't you begin with a name Ms. ?"

"Ooh. Someone's eager to know me," the female officer said sarcasticly, you would've seen her smile, but her coat covers her mouth, "My name is Alex Creed, and I already know who you are."

Alex struggled a little, but she managed to pluck the the paralyzing dart from her arm and toss it at Lanz's feet. Her body seemed to relax again, and she took another step closer towards Lanz. She delt with his kind before, and always taught them the proper respect through force. But her presence here wasn't for teaching manners, but for another objective.

"Another thing to note, ranking officers of the Impetus are subject to our own weapons when given. We go through a little trial, and learn to suppress the effects of all of our own weapons," Alex scoffed, shaking her head, "So were you planning to do something with that knockout dart of yours? I'd love to hear."

She holstered her whip and crossed her arms, waiting for a response.

Feraku heard the crack of a whip from the office, She hissed loudly and shot out of the office within a blink of an eye after extending her wings and her tailfeathers. She was flying through the air until she saw a female officer advancing onto Lanz, it was the perfect toy to vent her frustration on after being trapped in a straitjacket with her tailfeathers pushing against her. She dove downward right at the female officer, after letting out a deep and very menancing hiss.

Alex heard the noise that Feraku made from a mile away, but she didn't bother to turn around, because five other officers appeared from hiding and proceeded to shoot Feraku with a couple of dozen tranq darts. The officers looked very different from the usual white, these wore black a black uniform plus helmets and visors.

"Seems like your girlfriend from eariler doesn't want me hanging around you." she laughed, and turned to the downed Feraku, "Sorry dear, but you have an appointment with someone else..."

Alex pulled out a small commlink and activated it, "Sir, your audience has found me. If you would come and pick her up, it'd be great."

She then put away the commlink, turned her attention back to Lanz.

As Alex moved to place the comlink back into her pocket Lanz shot it with the dart gun, shattering it into countless pieces. He figured since he couldn't knock her out with it then getting rid of the comlink was the next best thing. Sweat forming on his brow he tossed the gun aside, having no more use for it, and scowled at Feraku, "Somehow I can't help but get the feeling this is all her fault." Finally his aze returned to Alex as she continued to stare at him as well. His mind raced through the options he had for himself, he had a lot of his things in his backpack, a contingency in case he ever did get found out, and was able to leave at any moment. However there was the problem of Alex, she could possibly follow him and he couldn't do with that; if he lost her he could hide away, after all he never had used the most secure hidesaway yet. And then there was Feraku, the woman he believed caused all of the problems in the first place. She had attempted to save him from the woman . . . yet failed . . . and he knew he'd feel a slight bit of guilt if he just left her.

"So what do you want?" he finally asked. Lanz figured he had no reason to worry about her, despite her CI uniform, and figured he could buy at least a minute before escaping.

she hissed, her adrenaline was preventing her from truly sleeping, she got up, though clumsily, she hissed loudly "You really don't know me, and that would be your greatest mistake" she said, hissing with Rage, "I really got sick and f*cking tired of waiting in that f*cking building, in one of the Most Un-F*cking-Comfortable Positions I have had in my F*cking Life!" She cursed at the female officer, she trembled as she was very tired, her adrenaline being the only thing keeping her awake. "whatcha gonna do, Motherf*cking b*tch, Once I am stirred, I am almost impossible to STOP!"

Olivia looked at Lan with determination in her eyes and said, clearly and confidently, "Sure. I'll go get them now." She looked around quickly and picked up a heavy stack of paper. As she headed over to the exit, making sure to stay out of any light patches, she peeked outside to make sure that the officers were still there. When she saw them, she gave an audible gasp and dropped the entire stack of paper, making sure they'd see the trail of paper leading into the library.

Immediately heading back as quietly as she could, she pushed Lan round to the other side of a bookcase, she waited and listened for the officers footsteps. As the noise of two people entered the room Olivia looked at Lan and help up her hand, three fingers pointed upwards. As she mouthed clearly, "3... 2... 1..." she dropped each of her fingers and as she finished, she began pushing against the bookcase, motioning Lan to follow.

As the heavy load fell on top of the officers, a mighty crash echoed throughout the library. Acting quickly, Olivia dragged Lan over to the downed officers and picked up a couple staple removers, throwing one at Lan. Wrenching a small headset from the officers ear, Olivia gave it a quick once-over then, not looking at Lan, said quickly, "Do as I do, from the look of these, they aren't hard to sort out." Carefully removing the small pins that held the casing, Olivia got to work. Making sure to show each and every step, she removed a small chip from the headset.

After closing up the headset, while waiting for Lan to finish his, she set up a private radio channel. Looking up at Lan, she said, "Tell me when you're done, we should finish up quick. Someone else has probably heard and will be coming..." After finishing talking, Olivia realised that she may have been slightly rude and just looked down guiltily but didn't say anything.

Alex started to get angry since Lanz broke her commlink, but she calmed down just before she could yell. Alex didn't have time to deal with the winged one, she sighed and took her whip and hit Lanz around the arm, which wrapped itself snug on it.

"Don't you dare underestimate me." she growled and pulled Lanz towards her, "You're not going anywhere, we have things to discuss."

Just then another person entered the 'fray', he was a tall muscular man wearing a black uniform, he had gray streaks in his hair too. He didn't say anything, but was heading towards Feraku. Apparently, he was the person Alex called.

Lan watched Olivia do what she did to the headset and then did the same thing. He closed up the headset and then set the private channel up. He put the headset in his ear and then stood up. He held his hand out to Olivia to help her up, as he said, "You're right. Thanks for this, your the first person to ever help or talk to me in this prison. I hope we can see more of each other soon." He helped Olivia up and said, "And just remember, don't be all depressed if you think you did anything bad. If you did, I would've said something by now." He then turned away and walked away from Olivia, but he stopped and looked back. Lan then smiled and then winked at her, saying, "Just remember, whatever happens, we help each other out."

The interruption caused by the man who'd crased onto the scene gave Lanz just enough time to work his way out of the whip's grip. Flipping over the woman he leaped before landing in front of the massive man, holding his fists up towards the massive man. He was a brawler by nature and, if his files could speak, he was also very dangerious; at least a part of him was. Speaking of that certain part of him Lanz held his hand over his head as the familiar waves of pain coarsed through his head, that other part of him trying to free itself. Looking over his shoulder at Feraku he sighed and held his hand out, his duel disk activating, "If you have something to say then say it . . . otherwhise I'll send you to the shadow realm forever!"

"Hmph," Nera said, examining the front of the library. It was not that crowded, which was surprising; reading is a great way to escape reality after all. And when your reality is like this, you'll need each of them. What was even more surprising was that the guards up front were missing, and there was a trail of paper heading inside.

Interesting.

Nera looked around; no guards were coming around anytime soon, so she quickly stepped inside and followed the trail of paper. Carefully peeking around a corner; she gasped, two officers, trapped under a pile of books. On top of them was a toppled bookshelf, and nearby... was two prisoners like herself. One, a timid-looking young woman, and the other, a rebellious looking young man. It was clear what had happened; the two probably were running from the guards, lured them in, and knocked them out. For good measure, they took their communication devices. She could appreciate such resourcefulness, though the fact that they were talking to each other on the crime scene was a little disconscerting

"I don't know what happened in here," Nera said, stepping out into the open in view of Lan and Olivia. "But you'd better leave now." After saying her piece, she left the library, certain that she doesn't want to be around when reinforcements came. Nera was a little bummed that she couldn't get a newspaper, but she still had other things she could do.

The man just turned and smiled at Lanz, "Enough." he said simply, yet authoritatively.

"I need to speak with the lady over here." he said gesturing to Feraku, "And you seem to have gotten my partner angry."

"Quite." Alex cursed under her breath as she got up, brushing herself off.

"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I am Jauger Vis Villion. I won't bother with my rank, but I can tell you both now, if you keep resisting arrest you will be executed by me personally." Jauger smiled again.

Alex coiled up her whip and holstered it yet again, she promptly walked to Lanz and Jauger, grumbling all the while. She hated how he got away from her so easily, but she had a mission to do. Jauger simply put his hands behind his back and waited for the Ghost and Feraku to reply, his expression was unreadable, since he was still smiling. The other officers stood at attention, but were ready to take action.
