"Don't you think, Olivia?"

The question snapped Olivia out of her part-attentive, part-glazed-with-boredom trance. "Aye," she began, very calmly, as though her ranting hadn't happened, "It seems probable that they don't know any new changes. More importantly though, if they've simulated the duels already, wouldn't that mean they have a rough idea of the outcome? If everyone had the same decks as they did upon entry, that is. Either way, this should be a good bit of fun, assuming that there isn't any penalty for losing. Aaaanyway, where do you think you placed in the simulation, Nera? I reckon I lost after the second duel."

Olivia waited politely for a reply and looked at the others she could see behind Nera, wondering if she'd have to face one of them.

Lan stood there continuing to listen Astral talk. He glanced over to Olivia and walked over to her. He stopped and stood next to her, and whispered, "Olivia...gotta question for ya. Do you think we should find a way to have that guy on somewhat of an alliance??" He knew what Olivia's expression would be...it would probably be something like, "WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY!? TALKING TO THAT MAN ABOUT A FRICKEN' ALLIANCE?!?!" He was hoping it wouldn't, but he needed to think of something. Cause if one of them lost, they'd be screwed and more likely....dead. But, if they had someone like this Astral guy...they may make it through this whole tournament alive. "So...what are your thoughts on this one, Olivia?" Lan whispered again.

"An alliance with Astral?" Olivia whispered back to Lan, before Nera could respond to her question. "I don't know about that, Lan. It's not as if he's easy to get in touch with. Besides, even if we could, we'd probably be monitored and if we're caught proposing an alliance to him, I'm pretty sure we'd be publicly executed. Either way, it's still a decent idea if we won't get caught. As soon as there's some kind of opening to do this, we should definitely take it. There's strength in numbers. More importantly though, there's strength in numbers when one of the numbers is the head of the other guys." Scratching her neck in a completely casual way, she looked back at Nera and was struck with inspiration. First making sure the bow in her hair was still there, she grabbed Lan around the neck and dragged him over to Nera.

"Hey, Nera! You ever met Lan?" Olivia began talking jovially and directly to Nera, "Well of course you haven't... Anyways, he's a heck of a guy. He's got skill, brains and, arguably, looks. But seriously," Olivia leaned in so she could whisper so only Nera and Lan could hear, "We've got this little idea in our head. You know the saying 'strength in numbers'? D'you want to be one of those numbers so we can knock this daring duo up to a fabulous threesome? We're considering helping out each other if we end up in trouble. Not sure how at the moment, but winging it is part of the charm... You in?" Olivia was tittering a little with excitement. Expansion was (almost) always a good thing. And in these circumstances, what could go wrong?

Before Lan could continue on what he was saying to Olivia, he felt her drag him towards another girl that she called Nera. He heard Olivia say the nice things about him and he began to scratch the back of his head, chuckling nervously. His face began to get a light red tone to it and he said,"Aww, why thanks Olivia." He then got a little serious and looked at Nera and asked,"But still, what do you say? We could use someone else on our side..." He glanced over at Astral again and thought, And him...I'll talk to him on my own. I'll figure out a way to see him and ask him to get an alliance with us...

"I have no idea; I'd like to think I did pretty well though," Nera replied to Olivia. "I intend to win in the actual tournament, of course," she added, this time replying to Astral as well. She figured that Olivia would say something back, but another young man approached her and started speaking with her. They were whispering, so Nera politely turned back to face the stage. She thought for a moment that they were plotting against her for whatever reason, but quickly expelled the idea from her head. Even in prison, she preferred to think positive, and Olivia seemed friendly so far.

Her optimism was vindicated once Olivia called her over. Apparently she and the young man were helping each other out, and Olivia wanted Nera to help out. The man - named Lan - seemed to agree with Olivia, even though he and Nera just met. Nera mulled her decision over in her head for a few moments, before speaking. After all, if she's getting more help, she'd feel responsible for their lives and actions as well.

"Well, let me say this," she said, whispering to the pair. And to Astral, since he probably already overheard Olivia and Lan's proposal to her. "I'm planning something dangerous, and before you ask - i''m not forcing my way out of this prison." Nera felt that the point needed to be made clear; as of now, the only way she'd be getting out is is Mass Eclipse is shut down, or if she wins that tournament. "This place holds many secrets, and one of them may be the key to freedom, but there may be those who are prepared to kill to protect those secrets." Nera paused for a moment, letting the word 'kill' sink into the minds of Olivia and Lan... and into her own mind. "Even so, do you still want me to help you?"

"Kill?" The word sent unfriendly thoughts trough Olivia's mind. Nothing spine tingling though. "I guess I'm up for it. If you're going after something that's so... Whatever, it wouldn't be fair to let you go it alone. It's my duty. As far as I care, anyway. You in, Lan?" Olivia spoke every word with determine face and when finished, looked at Lan quizzically. If Nera was onto something that could help her embrace freedom, helping her couldn't be anything but beneficial providing that they didn't get caught.

Lan looked away and said,"I wasn't in for killing..." He ran his fingers through his hair and said,"But...I'm in." He was hoping not to kill anyone here or anything, but if that was the only thing they could do..then he was apparently be up for anything right now. He glanced over at Astral again and thought, Now if I can figure out a way to see him face to face...then probably I'll be able to convince him to join my small alliance with Olivia and Nera. He sighed and looked back at Olivia saying,"Alright..no offense to you girls...but I need to do something.."

"Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if none of us had to take that risk," Nera said, since apparently Olivia and Lan thought that they would get into a life-or-death battle at some point. "And I hope whatever you two are planning doesn't lead us down that path, either... I prefer being alive, after all."

Nera then raised her head to take a look around; there weren't may guards in the crowd, though who knows if there are any in the crowds posing as prisoners. She was glad that the pair decided to help her even though she was purposely being vague to protect all of them. It was for that reason she didn't ply into their plans; she'd have time for that later.

Her concentration was broken when Lan spoke up, saying that he needed to go do something. Nera raised her eyebrow a litlle, confused. However, she figured that he probably knows what he's doing. "Okay," Nera said, while pulling out her Original Generation deck from her front right pocket.

"Nera." Astral spoke sternly through the earpiece after listening in on the conversation, "I'm not sure if it would be wise to have others helping. If you were ever caught, I could easily defend one prisoner without suspicion, but three for the same thing? I don't think I could, which wouldn't turn out so well for any of us."

Astral hated the fact that he'd have to tell Nera what to do, but it was for all of their safety, moreover her's, and he couldn't risk it. He knew the Olivia girl didn't seem like the type to backstab, but he didn't know who the other was. While they were speaking, the Warden was still buzzing in the background, until he finally got to the main point that everyone was waiting to hear.

"... And so! Here are you're competitors!!" the Warden announce and in a grand gesture, he pointed at the large screen next to him revealing a tree bracket with no names on it, "The first round will have Akihiro Ikeda, the infamous assassin from the Land of the Rising Sun! Against an officer of Eclipse, Ivan Freeman! Now, you may be wondering why an Eclipse officer is in the tournament, well, he's just there for fun. Grah aha ha ha ha!"

Lan looked around and then glanced over at one of the officers and saw on a few medals on his chest. Eh...a high ranking officer. Lan thought with a smirk. Well, time to use my talent of acting! Lan looked over Olivia and Nera and said,"Excuse me ladies, I have to do something." He walked over to the ranking officer and then began to think about what he was going to do. A smirk then appeared on his face, as he now figured out how he would do this. He walked up to him and then punched him in the face. He smirked and thought, Alright, the last time someone did that to a ranking officer...they were sent to Astral. I got a 50/50 chance...hopefully this will work..

Lanz had been taken away by the guards to a special "holding cell" but while they were away the Ghost of Eclipse manged to keep to his namesake. By the time they had come back they found the cell doors wide open, the security placed there completely scrambled and the eighteen digit code figured out. Clambering into the room to see if Lanz had made another darring escape they were met by their suspect still in his cell, though with what looked like a meal from the VIP Restaurant, and he looked up at them, "You know what I missed most about actually being a prisioner? Being able to get something nice to eat once I snuck out . . . not that the gruel you feed us can be considered nice, but once I escaped getting into the kitchens became a hassel you see."

"W-Why you!" the lead guard said raising his baton, all intent set on teaching this loud mouth some respect finally, and swung it down. Suprisingly Lanz had caught it with his wrist cuffs and put the man in a headlock, a sharp steak bone poking into his throat as the personality change began to take over, "I could have easily left while you fools where away. Do not mistake my generosity for idiocy. Also keep in mind I am sparing your life, as I still wish to participate in this tournament . . ."

Dropping the bone Lanz shoved the man, jutted his arms out, and waited to be released of the shakles. Once removed he rubbed his wrists and looked at the men, "So which poor sap am I going to slaughter first?"

<OOC: Nobody wants to include me? FINE . . . I'll make myself a post, a random post XD >

Nos Feraku heard the announcement, and sighed, she said "well i might as well go back to the mess hall" she turned back into her normal form and grew her wings and tailfeathers, she flew up, blowing gales toward the ground and flew around in the air for a short while before going back to the mess hall, then she flew low and landed with relative ease near the mess hall, and sat down, this flying was exhausting to her.....
