The best anime ive seen in a LONG time, I just wrote a paragraph of information about it then decided this is best left for you to see for yourself, Its VERY unpredictable But like i said, you probably wont like it if you cant handle complex ideas, you'll get confused with the alternet timeline(s) and planes of reality thing ／人◕ ‿‿ ◕人＼ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyways Ima give you guys something to think about. 2 Geass Controversies. -Nunally's Sight -Shirley's Memory Contro 1: Nunally's sight was taken from her by her father's Geass. Once he died, Nunally was finally able to see again. Some people say that she broke Charles' Geass power (Lelouch even ponders this), while others (like me) think it died with Charles. Discuss. My side: I think it was definitely due to the death of Charles zi Britannia that Nunally regained her sight. If it was her own willpower that granted her the power to break the geass, she would have been able to see long before R2. Another thing, if it was up to her determination, why was it under desperation that she awakened her vision? When she was struggling to find the Key, she was desperate rather than determined. Contro 2: Shirley's memory has been tampered with so much throughout R1 and R2. First Lelouch uses his Geass to make her forget him entirely, then Charles uses his Geass to erase Nunally's existance as apart of their and Lelouch's life from her mind. When Shirley regains her memories of Lelouch being Zero and Nunally being Lelouch's sister, Rolo reacts by shooting her. Some believe that Shirley broke Charles' Geass power and Lelouch's Geass power. Others say it was Jeremiah's intervention. Discuss. My Side: I think those sides are absurd. Firstly, Charles zi Britannia merely replaced Nunally with Rolo in Shirley's mind. When Shirley spoke to Rolo moments before he shot her, she only revealed that she remembered that Nunally was Lelouch's sister, it was not hinted or revealed that she knew anything about Rolo's relations being false. This means that Charle's geass still had influence. Second, Lelouch only forced Shirley to forget him and any affects he had on her life. Nothing more. Lelouch's geass give him absolute command, yes, but his geass cannot make anyone do anything beyond the human capability. So he could not completely keep her from ever remembering anything because that would be impossible. Since the command was only to forget, Shirley wouldn't have to break the geass in order to remember. By her remembering, the Geass was not broken because she had indeed forgotten it. Third, it's impossible for it to have been a result of Jeremiah's geass cancellor. The reason is in chronology. First, Jeremiah leaves to hunt down Lelouch. Second, Shirley begins to remember. Third, Shirley, Lelouch, and Suzaku meet at the mall. Fourth, Jeremiah arrives at Ashford Academy and is told by Villetta that Lelouch is at the mall. Fifth, Lelouch is told of Jeremiah's approach. Sixth, Lelouch uses geass on 2 security guards who are then cancelled by Jeremiah and Lelouch sets off false bombs causing an evac which puts Shirley and Suzaku outside. Seventh, Shirley goes after Lelouch. I can stop there because by these events, Shirley regained her memory before Jeremiah could even get close to the range it would take to effectively cancel the Geasses on her. This means neither Geass was broken. Shirley's scene also contradicts this logic. Since neither Geass was broken, Lelouch's Geass was still active and Lelouch can only use Geass on a person once unless it is cancelled. When Lelouch is kneeling beside a dieing Shirley, Lelouch attempts to use Geass to force her to live. The red corona appears around her eyes, suggesting the influence of that command taking effect, yet how could it if Lelouch's first geass command was still in effect, neither being broken nor cancelled?
