Surprisingly, the Water Temple was one of the least annoying levels for me in that game. The Spirit Temple was actually the worst for me.

Also I consider the annoyance of changing the boots every 5 minutes to be separate from the overall frustration. Otherwise the Water Temple was one of the easier levels in the second half of the game.

You know whats a really hellish stage?
Effectivly all of Castle Crashers on Expert Mode.
The game punishes you for not being able to juggle things effectively, and spams you with inf.HP enemies that can one-hit-kill you.

Another BS game is Rouge Trip Vacation 2012.
Easy mode, the enemies just auto-die.
Normal Mode, its just flat-out unfair(well, only when you get to like stage 4 and beyond)
'Hard' mode makes me want to throw my PS2 agenst the wall.

The only 'difficulty' is that the mini-map doesn't show what direction the security-guys are facing.
Wc09's "final boss" is a true hellish level.
