Lonk
Though many of us have a vast amount of experience, we all have that level/area/dungeon/ect. that we find hard, annoying and frustrating. Why do we get frustrated at these? Discuss what levels you find frustrating.

Dark
I don't ever get frustrated while playing a video game. I'm pretty sure that is the exact opposite of what is supposed to happen when you play a video game, even if it's an annoying level. Toffee.
Megaman Powered Up is all over this. At least 1/3 of the stages you can download were never play-tested after they were built, and you end up playing a stage you cant complete because the owner of it was a lazy idiot. (seriously, incomplete stages aren't 'fun')

Master Hyperion
Snow Barrel Blast from Donkey Kong Country. Seriously, f*** that level. Small platforms that are slippery, pixel perfect jumps/barrels blasts, barrels that rotate AND move, a crap load of enemies and bees that fly around the barrels that have an insane amount of speed. I'm aware there's a hidden barrel that skips almost everything, but how on earth are you supposed to know about that if no hints of that short-cut is given? Saturn of Elemia
@Armadilloz - Yeah, that ALWAYS ticked me off. Luckily (for you), I playtest ALL my stages to make sure they can be completed. @ChilledFlames - It was pretty annoying - as was the Great Palace from Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link for the NES. Unless you knew where you were going, you were gonna go in circles forever. @Dark Armed Duelist - The last part is what gets a lot of people. I can do it flawlessly - and anyone else who can do it flawlessly is rewarded with a 3-Up balloon. @Random Dude - Don't remind me of those. I still have nightmares about those games... Mehmani
Every single level of Megaman 3 and Ghosts and Goblins. Fable 3 is for six year olds who want to look tough, real hardcore gamers play Megaman and Ghost and Goblins. I bet you an Xbox/PS3 "newfag" wouldn't stand a chance against those things. 'tyleR
Super Mario World Special Zone. I swear to God, I spent half of my childhood slaving over f***ing Outrageous. Lonk
I enjoyed playing Megaman 3, but Gemini Man, dampen him (I don't like cursing)! It's nearly impossible to beat him without Search Snake.

Lonk
It's not hard, it's just annoying to have to change boots every 30 seconds.
Doesn't annooyance count towards frustration (especially if you did something that has you repeat the annoying process over again)? Great Palace is frustrating. However, the start-off-at-the-palace-beginning-instead-of-going-all-the-way-back-to-where-you-normally-restart-after-losing-all-your-lives ails that problem. Dark
Super Mario World Special Zone. I swear to God, I spent half of my childhood slaving over f***ing Outrageous. I don't even know why, it wasn't that hard of a level. Oh, and Goddamn Tubular.
Tubular wasn't too bad for the sheer fact that the controls on Balloon Mario weren't as bad as all the people made them out to be. Outrageous was a tough level, however, mainly because of those damn fireballs of doom. That literally took me sixty lives on my Virtual Console, and while I wasn't annoyed that I was dying, I was annoyed that each time I died I had to go back to Top Secret Area to get double Capes and Yoshi. Took so much time. D':
Toffee.
Would mentioning Cat Mario here be a little overkill? (despite the fact that game is stupid-easy)
I enjoyed playing Megaman 3, but Gemini Man, dampen him (I don't like cursing)! Saturn of Elemia
@Armadilloz: Yes, Gemini Man and Split Mushroom have the same basic strategy. The only difference is that Split Mushroom reacts more by being hit with its weakness. Gemini Man barely flinches. And that's why I don't like fighting Gemini Man. Saturn of Elemia
Yeah, Split Mushroom is ridiculous. Slash Beast, on the other hand... I tried doing that before - and the jerk always fired the stupid snakes at me.
Toffee.
Slash Beast, on the other hand...
Slash Beast is actually fairly easy. Pretty much you just need to remember how his attacks work, and have fairly good timing at them. Most of his attacks are done by dashing across the ground. You can easily dash over him. His 'spin' move is simple to dodge, as it travels really slowly, and you can dash under the bottom 'slash'. The random: "HEI MEGAMAN IMA JUMP ON U LOLOLOL" move is a little unorthadox, as it comes out of nowhere. But he hardly uses it. His "IMMA CHARGIN MAH CLAWZ" move is just stupid, and lets you get free shots in. If you can dodge all of these how I mentioned, while also spamming charge shots, he goes down fairly easily. Storm Owl, in my opinion, is an annoying boss. Easy, but REALLY annoying.

Astro Dude
The first snow level from DKC, The Ship level from Super Mario RPG, and the HARDEST Level (no lie) is the perfect run of world S-7 in Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Lonk
World 3 Secret in Yoshi's Island DS to me is frustrating (It could be Extra 3, but I get confused with Secret levels and Extra levels). Skiing can be such a pain (Though it is always good to have a couple 100 lives since they are very easy to get).
