I think "The Big Bang Theory" is best, it's funnier and it's more awesome cause the characters are more awesome. And they have better jokes too. But I like "How I met Your Mother" too

I stopped watching How I Met Your Mother. Too slow-moving in terms of plot.

The Big Bang Theory is great though, although that's helped by the fact that Sheldon is a great character.

He is awesome. Though I like Howard the most. He is just so fun when he tries to pick up a girl. Also like that Koothrapoli only can talk to girls when he is drunk (except his mom)

lol, i choose big bang, both are funny shows.my commentary on the 5 main big bang characters

sheldon: the one who makes corrections to everything, its funny because people look at him like "o.k."

leanord: your average guy. though hes funny in many ways (to many to count)

howard: the nerd who lives with his mother (anyone else notice the huntch on his back?) and has trouble with pick up lines

roag: the indian who cant talk to girls. funny when he tries to as well

penny: the hot chick who can date the stupid ones and somehow broke up with leanord

I like your thought but Leonard is not the average guy. He is the main character. And he is the only one that actually can get girls

I like Sheldon cause he corrects what everyone says. And that drives them insane. Tough sometimes I think they like that. And he is selfish, that you must agree with

Big Bang by far. My dad makes me watch How I met your Mother and I'm not going to lie I laughed a few times but Big Bang I actully laugh alot more xD

I watch it when I can. I watched it today but when the second one started, I watched "Parlamentet". A Swedish humour serie with Swedens best comedians

obviously the big bang theory it is comedy genius, four socailly reject nerds living across from 1 hot chick how could anyone not find that funny. my favourite episode is when sheldon gets a girlfriend and wolowitz has fun with a robot hand, hilarious.

Yet, I love TBBT mostly because of Sheldon.

Sadly HIMYM overlaps with House on Mondays, so I haven't been watching the latest season. I do agree about the plot being slow moving though.

Never seen The Big Bang Theory though I will say this about How I Met Your Mother. The fifth season was such complete and utter trash. Not one good episode in the entire bunch. Even ones you think might be kind of nice, like the 100th one where he meets The Mother's roommate was a huge letdown. The previous seasons built up that this whole big important journey was about him discovering himself, maturing, and becoming a better man and that it was all leading up to something, but then Girls versus Suits reveals that, nope, she's the perfect girl for him right this second and if they met right now it would be absolutely 100 percent perfect.

Ted's gotten douchier, more pretentious, and somehow less mature as the series went on. He carries an undeserved aura of "holier than thou". He started as a normal, slightly nerdy hopeless romantic but he slowly became more and more of a jackass as the series progressed.

Marshal goes from being the kind of cool guy to just being a background, waste of space guy. He contributes pretty much nothing to the plot anymore. He started as a real person with real problems, but then around season 4 all his problems got resolved (he's happily married, he has a good paying job, he owns property) so now there's like... nothing to really build him up as a character, and no where for him to go.

Lily started as the nice, caring one but slowly became more evil, crueler, conniving, and generally a terrible person to hang out with. She purposely sabotages Ted's relationships with other women (The Front Porch), completely abandoned her best friend Robin when she (Lily) was trying to have a baby (Glitter), abandoned her father when he needed her most (Slapsgiving 2).

Robin started as a headstrong, confident, independent woman but was pretty much hit the hardest as the series progressed. Going from a woman who admitted to never liking relationships to going out with a clueless, unlikable putz, her co-anchor who was an alcoholic who frequently showed up to work with no pants (that's not a metaphor or exaggeration. he literally did not wear pants) and crying, really bawling her eyes out, not that she lost an amazing job opportunity, but that she lost her loser co-anchor boyfriend. From here, the woman who once prided herself as looking hot and sexy goes on to look remarkably unattractive in this season's opener and star in an adult diaper commercial (seriously).

Barney has mostly stayed the same in regards to his character, except becoming more outlandish and more of a cartoon character as time progressed. He started as the martini-drinking, suit-wearing, lazer-tag playing awesome guy and became a delusional mess with less and less sophisticated ways of scoring with women.
(Delusional mess - Thought Bob Barker was his father. Thought he was kicked off the basketball team for being "too good". Thought a black man was his father.
Less sophisticated- Thought he could land a date while acting like a little boy. Thought a whole elaborate thing where he wore a scuba suit would help with the ladies)

... Never saw The Big Bang Theory, though it's gotten a lot of good reviews, however from people who's opinions I do not care about. So like... yeah

That was a lot reading, though you have right in about everything, except I haven't seen the season 5 cause all episodes are not out in Sweden. That sucks

I dont think Marshal was the cool guy. I hated him from the first time I saw him. I like Segel though. He is awesome. And lily really get more evil
