Welcome, one and all, to the Mishon Region! Here, you will begin your journey as a pokemon trainer, on your quest to defeat the 8 gyms, win the Mishon Region Pokemon League, and defeat the Elite 4, while catching and developing your pokemon team along the way! With so many sights to see, and battles to be won, the excitement never stops here in the Mishon Region! But watch out for the recent cases of violence in certain areas of Mishon. There have been reports of small gangs using pokemon for criminal activity. Who these people are or what their motive is is still unclear, but nevertheless, it can't be good.
1. No Godmodding.
2. No Powerplaying/Metagaming.
3. No arguing, in RP or Out-of-character. PM me or Lelouch if you need to settle something.
4. Be reasonable with catching pokemon and evolving them. You will not find the exact pokemon you want every time you find a wild pokemon, and a few battles and one gym battle are not always enough to evolve a pokemon. If you are not sure of when it is okay to evolve your pokemon, or catch that next one you've been looking for for your team, then PM me or Lelouch, and we can tell you.
5. Do not just say "dodge" everytime your opponent attacks. Sometimes, pokemon will dodge attacks, sometimes, they wont. Make sure you are fair with taking hits and dodging them.
6. Certain moves, like double team, or light screen, or w/e you use, are not an excuse to always avoid/protect yourself from attacks. The only move that can always dodge/protect are Substitute and Protect, but Substitute uses up 1/4th of your pokemon's max health. As for Protect, it cannot be used in succession, meaning there should be some kind of time period in between uses. That can be decided for yourself.
7. Lelouch and I have the ability to declare any post/battle null and void if we find it breaking one of these rules. We can and will hand out warnings for offenses against these rules, and we even have the right to ignore warnings and simply ban you if the offense is serious enough. However, we will try to avoid doing so.
8. You get 1 warning only. If you should break any rule(s) twice, you will be banned. 1 warning should be enough to direct you in the right direction.
9. To make sure you read the rules, all applications must one word in the second line of their bio colored blue, and remove all non-bolded words from the application before filling it out. Make sure that only the categories are bolded, and information you put in is NOT.

Bio: Nick has been interested in pokemon since he was a kid. He especially liked battling with pokemon, so he studied pokemon battling strategies. He studied the various types of pokemon, their physical attributes, and the effect of moves on them, to learn all about the perfect battling style. Eventually, as a teenager, he went out and caught some pokemon of his own, and battled. However, he still never went after gyms. Rather, he used his studies to perfect his battling, and learned from others. Now, he wishes to go after the gyms and the elite four, and even beat the pokemon league!

*For plot related reasons, Lelouch has slightly different aspects to his application than everyone else*
Name: Zane Higros
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance:

Change the colors to Blue and Black for White and Red. Emblem on hat is turned to a Skull.

Bio: Zane started his Journey at the age of 11 leaving from the town of Pallet in the Kanto Region. He eventually completed the Kanto League and was made Champion. When he went off to the Jhoto League his mother grew ill so he decided to forfeit his chance at the Championship to take care of his mother. After his mother was nursed back to health he had missed his chance to compete in the Hoenn league. As such he decided to travel the Region once more. A few weeks after turning 14 he was approached by the Kanto League Commissioning board. They requested him to be the Champion as their current one was retiring to train more. Gladly taking the position Zane successfully lead the League and defeated the Challenger in the last round of the League. He has now traveled to the Mishon region for unknown reasons, but probably because the Kanto League is no longer is session for the moment.
Name: Etael Zanza

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Appearance:

Starter Pokemon: Zorua

Bio: He had always had an aspiration to be a trainer, even since a younger age. Etael isn't exactly like his appearance would make one assume. He's actually social, but not to such an extent. He never had the chance to actually be a trainer until recently, as he never did have the time. He was more of a helper for people in his town being the reason. Many people depended on him, which never bothered him, either. He only encountered the Zorua through a stroke of luck, too. He had been sent to the nearest Pokemon Mart to retrieve some items for a salesman who lived in his town. Etael also enjoyed the fact that these errands he had been doing for people actually made him more money than one would think. As he was making his move to the Mart, he found a Zorua behind some bushes, although it wasn't injured. It was actually hungry and tired, it seemed. Etael let him have some food to help him, but the Zorua took the kind act too far, and began following Etael everywhere.

He didn't really want a Zorua following him, either. He didn't dislike it, but he wouldn't enjoy being forced to pay attention to something that could take more time than he has for himself. It was until then that he began thinking about how much easier it would be to just be a trainer, instead of helping, for once. Etael took initiative, and made his good-byes, thanking Zorua for making him rethink his future. Obviously, Etael's first pokemon is that same Zorua.
Name: Azuki Maternia
Gender: Female
Age: 11
Appearance: Azuki has long black hair, with blonde stripes, that reaches just past her shoulder blades. She wears half of her hair is a high ponytail, tied with a black ribbon spangled in silver sparkles. Her eyes are as blue as the sea, with an emerald streak in each eye.
Her usual outfit is a black dress with sleeves reaching her elbows, and the skirt part reaches just past her knees. This dress has a black ribbon, similar to the one in Azuki's hair, around the waist, and small white bows spangle the skirt. She also wears black gloves that extend up to her elbox, making them appear attched the sleeves of her dress. Her shoes are black, knee-high water-proof black boots, with a little white ribbon on each, just above where her ankle would be.
Starter Pokemon: Spiky-Eared Pichu: Called Étincelle.
Bio:Azuki was the youngest child of two adulys from the Kanto. She lived there for the first few years of her life, but knew her parents didn't like her. You see, Azuki's parents hadn't wanted a girl for child, and so was dissapointed when Azuki was born. However, they didn't want to be responsible for the childs death, but they still didn't want her. The family went on a holiday to the Sinnoh when Azuki was three, and they abandoned her there. Azuki wandered the Sinnoh, and was eventually put into an orphanage, but was turned down by everyone. Finally, the orphanage turned her out onto the streets once again, but Azuki didn't care, for during her time at the orphanage she had met an adorable little Pichu. When she was turned away, that Pichu came to find her, and theyv'e been together ever since, doing odd jobs to earn money for food. Azuki saved some money each week, so, after a year, they had enough for a ferry ticket to the Mishion Region. Azuki is hoping to become a champion trainer with her Pichu, which would be a pleasent change from her boring 3 years of odd jobs!

The sun shined brightly through the windows of Nick’s house, as he quickly shoves a donut in his mouth on the way out of his house. Crap! I’m going to be late! Nick thought to himself. He laces his shoes, the donut hanging from his mouth, grabs his bag, and runs out of the house. Knowing his mother is away on a business trip, he somehow forgot that he would have to set the alarm to wake himself up. And now he was going to be late to the kick-off of the Mishon region’s pokemon league! Today was the first day trainers would start going out to get gym badges since the last pokemon league, and Nick didn’t want to miss the festival they would be hosting in honor of the trainers going out to take on the league. Without a bike, however, he would have to run there. “Man, I better make it in time. The festival starts at 12 P.M., and it’s already… 11:30?!” Nick exclaimed while looking at his watch. He lived quite a ways from the town where the festival would be held, Crestvale town, and it takes about 45 minutes walking just to get there. Luckily, Nick is an excellent runner, and can run all the way to Crestvale. “Hmm… I wonder what kind of people I’ll meet there…”

Azuki gazed out at the beautiful sapphire sea that stretched away from the small boat, the only boat she could pay to sail on. Crowds of assorted Pokemon trainers chatted to their Pokemon, having battles with other trainers, but not Azuki. She was more content to day dream and watch the rolling waves. She pulled a Pokeball from her black belt, rubbing it slightly. "Go, Étincelle!" She declared, and a small yellow pokemon appeared. "Piiiichu!" It grinned, in a childish way. A trainer nearby looked at Étincelle as if it was strange, which it was. After all, it was one of those rare pichu's with an unusual left ear; It was spiked, three spikes. Azuki, to be honest, didn't care if her Pichu was different. It was hers, and that's what mattered. As she thought this, Pichu began dancing around. "PIiiichuuu!" It declared, pointing with it's short left arm. Looking where it was pointing, she saw the Mishion region appear on the horizon, growing bigger and bigger. "Almost there Étincelle!" Azuki hugged the Pichu, who withheld it's electricity to avoid zapping it's master. "When we get there, our journey will begin!" Azuki declared. "But will we come back.....I might not have the money to afford another ferry ticket......" She thought, masking her feelings from Étincelle, but it still knew, and snuggled up to her leg to comfort her.

Quite fortunately for Etael, he hadn't been living far from Crestvale, his whole life. He lived in a pretty small town, though. It was near Crestvale, although it was the kind of town one would pass through without noticing, while they were on their way to their unknown destinations. He opened the front door of his house, with his mother saying her farewells to him as he had opened and closed the door. He pushed the door shut, while a Zorua slipped right through the closing door. Etael had noticed the weather, too. It was nearly perfect, in his opinion. A nice sun, few clouds and a cool temperature, although it was the kind of cool where you could go out half-dressed and feel refreshed.

He knew where he had to go, and how to get there. It wasn't that far away, and he'd already gone there on delivery errands and other things of that genre while he was helping people. The Zorua that followed him was very anxious for this day, since he and Etael had both been thinking about it for much time, now. Crestvale is an hour on foot from here...That way, too. He thought to himself, noting how Zorua seemed to know the way, too. This was only Zorua's second or third time going to Crestvale with Etael, and it seemed to have, as stated, already known the way.

As he exit the small town, he and Zorua began moving at more of a pace, than a slow walk. Zorua was basically sprinting, though. "Zoru!" His pokemon yelled at him to start running, too. Etael thought about how this would be. This whole adventure, not just getting to Crestvale. "I wonder what the people I meet are going to be like. Or...if I'll travel in a group, or with Zorua only." He spoke to himself, Zorua listening to him without letting him know he was. Etael didn't even need to be told, since their communication skills had been surprisingly powerful.

OOC: Rem, I posted my altered App in the OOC thread so you probably should change it.

IC:

Zane stood around in Crestvale, taking in the crowd and festivities. It had been awhile since he had been able to travel relatively unnoticed. Of course several Pokemon enthusiasties had already spotted and spoken to him, but that was to be expected of them. He was of course the Champion of the Kanto League. Sometimes I wonder if all this Champion nonsense is worth it... Zane thought to himself until he spotted two trainers having a friendly battle. He walked over a bit to see what was going down.

When he got closer he noticed that one of the trainers had just recalled a pokemon, his opponent was using a Chimchar. "You can't beat me so easily, gooo Treeko!" The losing trainer yelled and threw his Pokeball.

"Why would you send a Grass-Type Pokemon against a Fire-Type Pokemon!?" Zane yelled to the trainer. They both stopped to stare at him for a moment. "Heh new plan, lets show the new guy what we can do." The Chimchar's trainer said to his opponent. They nodded and started towards Zane.

"Bad move..." Zane said as he grabbed his Pokeball.

Keith was waiting for the festival start in a small cafe near Crestvale's town square. He sipped at a white mug filled with hot cocoa, while he picked out the marshmallows and fed them to Togepi, who gobbled them up excitedly, slowly approaching a sugar rush. Alex laughed as Togepi accepted the white sugar globules, then noticed the people setting up for the big celebration. A stage was being moved out from behind a building to a space in front of the large statue which depicted the Mishon Region's first Champion, who's likeness and name have now been weathered beyond recognition.
As people moved out other major centerpieces in preparation for the festivities, he noticed a group of workers being attacked by a group of Spearow.
"Oh no...Togepi, it looks like we're getting some action already. You feel up to it?"
"Pipipiprrrrri!"
"Hmph! Alright!"
And so, the duo charged out the doors, ready to help the workers.

Nick ran down the dirt road, panting, until he finally reached the outskirts of Crestvale town. Exhausted from the run, he stopped and bent over, panting. Nick took a pokeball from his belt and looked at it. "Looks like we've finally made it." He put the ball back, and proceeded to walk into the town. There were various food stands and merchandise booths getting ready to open for the festivities. Nick had made it before the start of the festival, but there was a huge number of people already there. Almost everybody who was going to show up had probably shown up by now. Soon, the festival would start, and the journey towards the pokemon league would begin. All that was left to do was wait. Nick decided to take a look around the town square to see all the booths that were set up for today. The very first thing he noticed was the large fountain in the middle of the square, where some trainers seemed to be talking. Nick decided to join them and see what they were talking about.

Alex woke early in the camp he and Zera had built by the river. He looked at his Gible, which surprisingly, was up before him. They walked outside and looked around. Alex looked right above them, remembering they built their camp under an Apple Tree. Zera jumped on his head, and grunted, "Gible, Gible!" "Good idea, Zera." Zera jumped off of his head and onto the lowest branch of the tree. He slowly climbed until he reached the top and plucked four red apples. He threw two down to Alex, and then jumped down. They quietly crunched on the apples, and soon, they were finished. Then, Alex saw a Pokemon running toward him. "Vulpiiiiiiix!" It said. It was a Vulpix, and he couldn't believe his luck. He had always wanted to fight a Vulpix. "Zera," He said. "Get ready for a battle!" Zera entered a fighting position. "Gible!" Zera yelled. The Vulpix opened its mouth and used flamethrower. "Vulpiiiiiiix!" It yelled as the flames ran out of its mouth. "Zera, dodge!" Alex yelled, and Zera quickly jumped. "Now, Sand Tomb!" "Gible!" Zera said, raising his arms. Then, a giant cylinder of sand rose around the Vulpix. The Vulpix fell to the ground, and Alex took a Poke Ball out of his backpack. He pressed the button, and the capsule expanded. Then, throwing the Poke Ball, it opened, and, in a streak of red light, the Vulpix disappeared. The capsule closed, and rocked. Then, it stopped. That's a good thing... Alex thought. "Yeah! It's mine!" He said. He went and picked up the Poke ball, and put it on his belt. Then, Zera jumped on his head. "Gii! Gii!" Zera yelled. "Oh right, that Mishon League thing... let's go." Alex said. They hopped on their bike, which was parked right outside the campsite, and they rode into Crestvale Town. Soon, they came across a crowd of people, and they assumed that's where the league thing was. "Hmm..." Alex said. "This might get kinda boring..." He shrugged. "Ah, we'll make it through."

A Few hours later...

Alex lay on the ground, eyes closed, and snoring. Zera then kicked sand in his eyes. "Gible, Gible!" He said. "Augh... five more minutes, mom!" Alex woke with a start, embarrassed. "Oh, sorry Zera..." Zera was holding something. It was a case to hold the Mishon Region Badges. "Well, Zera," He said. "I guess our adventure starts now!" He said cheerfully. Zera jumped in agreement.

Zane walked away, his opponents were looking on as if he had slapped them. I know I shouldn't be to harsh but people should know more about pokemon than that if they want to become trainers... Zane noticed that the Festival was about to begin introducing it's guests. "Oh great like I needed anything else to do..."

Zane rummaged around in his pocket for his speech before taking a seat near one of the region's Elite Four members and awaited the start of the festival.

Nearly an hour later, Etael and his Zorua were close enough to see Crestvale. It was quite a walk, as well. Especially because of the weather, again. As well as all the pokemon that were wandering around. He'd even seen some he hadn't seen before, as if even the pokemon knew it was time for trainers to start their adventures to becoming champions. Anyways, he was at Crestvale.

As he entered the town, he noticed the incredible amount of people, trainers and pokemon. Some of the people probably wanted to be breeders, also. Etael noticed the festival was near ready. He made sure to sit near an area where the speeches would be spoken. He could see the elite four of the region, and a few other people, although he was nothing near physically close to them. He waited for the festival to start, as his Zorua jumped up on his lap to watch too.

James took the corn dog after it was prepared, and took one bite before spitting it out "Do they call this food! This stuff is terrible" He complained and sighed, "Oh look, the boring speech is about to start" He rolled his eyes and sighed, so did Duskull, then they sighed together. "Oh well, might as well just wait around here, not like I've got anything else to do" He sighed... agian, and went over to lay agianst the backside of the fountin, "Geh, I'm probably going to get wet sitting by the fountin" he groaned, "Dus... Duskull" Duskull agreed and groaned as well. He looked around and groaned, "COME ON! LETS GET THIS OVER WITH!" as he said this, he hung his head backwards, and nearly hit the fountin head.

It was an hour after the speech had finished that Alex was walking around the square looking for a battle. Suddenly, a young boy, about twelve, came up to him. "Hi," He said. "Would you like to battle?" "Sure. What's your name?" "Zakary. What's yours?" "Alex, son of the Blackthorn City Gym Leader Clair." "Wow, you must be super powerful," Zakary answered. "Even we have heard of your mom's reputation!" "Let's battle." Alex said. They each went to a different side of the arena, and took out their Pokeballs. "Go, Masaki!" cried Zakary. A Rapidash appeared out of the Pokeball. "Go, Zera!" Yelled Alex. Zera let out a roar, and jumped to the field. "Wow, a Gible!" Zera flexed. "You show off..." Muttered Alex. "Masaki, Flame Wheel!" "Zera, Dragon Pulse!" Masaki surrounded herself in a fiery wheel, and charged toward Zera. Zera opened his mouth and a purplish beam blasted Masaki. It didn't faze Masaki, however. She kept on charging, and she hit Zera at full force. Zera flew against the wall, but he got up. "Masaki, hit him again!" Again, Masaki charged. "Zera, Dig!" Zera dug five holes and jumped in one. Masaki looked into the hole, and, jumping out of the hole behind her, Zera slashed her. "Pop goes the Buizel!" Masaki fell to the ground, and got back up. "We won't go down that easy!" Just then, Zera keeled over. "Zera, return! Go, Artemis" The Vulpix came out of her Pokeball. "Artemis, shadow ball!" A black orb blasted Masaki, and she fainted. "Wow, you're good! You'll have to do better than that though! Go, Zekro-" Just then, Alex felt something slap his face. He opened his eyes, and saw Zera. "Gible!" "Huh? That was a dream?" Zera nodded. "Craaaaaaaaaaaaaap!"
