Hey! I'm making some Mario cards and I'd like some help with my OCG and effects. I think some effects are kinda OP'ed, but I'm planning on making a deck revolving around the cards in the set and not using already existing cards to play against my friends who will also have their made deck. The reason some cards are kinda OP'ed might be in an attempt to make them as similar as possible to the effects in the video games. For example, you would need to attack a Mario with a Fire Flower equipped 3 times to kill him, as in the video games, going from fire mario -> super mario -> small mario, and unless you run a lot of Spells that destroy monsters, your opponent will have a hard time destroying your monsters. I want to fix some OP'ed cards while still having a similar effects to their uses in the video games, and make the cards as balanced as possible before turning them into real cards so I don't have to keep fixing their effects and printing them again.

When this card is Special Summoned, you can draw 1 card from your Deck. Only 1 Equip Card other than a “Yoshi” card can be equipped to this monster. This card gains 200 ATK for each Equip Card equipped to it. During your Main Phase, you can unequip an Equip Card equipped to this monster and add it to your hand.

Select 1 face-up monster on the field. That monster gains 1000 ATK until the end of this turn. If the selected monster does not have any Equip Cards equipped to it, select 1 “Super Mushroom” from your hand, Graveyard or Deck and equip it to the selected monster.

Select 1 monster on the field. The selected monster can attack all monsters on your opponent’s field once until the end of this turn. During the End Phase, destroy the selected monster.

The equipped monster gains 300 ATK. Everytime the equipped monster attacks, inflict 200 points of damage to your opponent’s Life Points for each card in your hand. If the monster equipped is to be destroyed by battle, destroy this card instead and equip an available “Super Mushroom” from your hand, Graveyard or Deck to the monster.

The equipped monster gains 400 ATK. Everytime the equipped monster battles, you can destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field. If the monster equipped is to be destroyed by battle, destroy this card instead and equip an available “Super Mushroom” from your hand, Graveyard or Deck to the monster.

Equip Spell
The equipped monster loses 300 ATK and can attack twice. If the monster equipped is to be destroyed by battle, destroy this card instead and equip an available “Super Mushroom” from your hand, Graveyard or Deck to the monster.

Equip Spell
The equipped monster gains 500 ATK. Any monster that battles with the equipped monster is destroyed. If the monster equipped is to be destroyed by battle, destroy this card instead and equip an available “Super Mushroom” from your hand, Graveyard or Deck to the monster.

Select one monster on the field. The selected monster cannot be destroyed until the end of this turn.

If a “Mario” or “Luigi” card is to be sent to the Graveyard, you can destroy this card instead. You can remove this card from play from your Graveyard to draw 1 card.

Counter Trap
This card can only be activated when one of your opponent’s monsters attacks one of your monsters. Destroy both monsters and inflict 1000 points of damage to both players’ life points.

[b]SMWMK – 29 Fake Item Box[/b]
Normal trap
Activate only when your opponent inflicts battle damage to your Life Points. Inflict that damage to your opponent’s Life Points instead.

[b]SMWMK – 30 Lighting[/b]
Normal Trap
Select 1 monster on the field. Halve the ATK of all other monsters on the field with an ATK of 2000 or more.

Yeah, the ability to get any Spell Card is OP. Maybe limiting it to being an Equip Card or an specific Equip (Like Super Mushroom for example) might make them a bit more balanced?
I was originally going to make "Coins" let you add a 1 UP Mushroom, since when you get 100 coins you get a 1 UP, but that would make the card kinda useless. :/ I'll see what I can change. Thanks!
