Note: Well, i have to admit that i have not played this game yet, but i am considering getting it soon, and plus i figured this contest is too awesome for me not-to join. Anyways, i believe its one of the best DB,Z,GT games so far. So i hope its good enough, and may the best card maker win.

judging has begun?

It begins... right now.

I'll see who has posted their cards, will refresh the list in the first post (those who haven't posted up until then will get kicked out, simple as that), PM the (still only 1) Judge... and then I'll take a nap. It's 12 AM over here, what do you expect?

If I get the results from Aleksander in time (means tomorrow), I can post the results tomorrow afternoon. If not... well, then it'll take a little longer.

So long,

Spoon

Edit: Alright, I don't need to inform anyone... Aleksander/Shadow, you know what to do ;) Please PM me your results in any way, shape or form once you're done, we'll discuss this tomorrow once I've got some sleep :)

Edit2: FTW and Super-something haven't posted their cards... oh well, still more than enough to judge properly. For now, I'll say good night :)

Just making sure that this doesn't die ^^

It doesn't, Shadow had some problems with his internet, therefor the judging had to be delayed a little. However, you can expect the results later today (the day's still pretty long, but definitely within the next 20 hours :P)

Alright, sorry to have you all waiting, let's head straight to the results ;)

Hila Nuerfa (Austria): There's a lot going on in this card, mainly relationships between other countries, and since diplomacy is one of the core concepts of the Total War franchise, it of course has to appear on the card as well. Overall, that concept is nicely translated. Choosing one of the participating countries was most likely the wisest choice you could've done here. I like the idea of the country „bursting out“ like that when hitting the 3000, which nearly equals an invasion. What I dislike are the lot of really specific cards that are used. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty accurate, but it's not particularly playable and also makes characterization a lot easier. Picture is solid, I don't mind the Chibi-look, though I doubt it fits the game. Overall, a successful translation, but it could be better in just some points.

Newfie Shark (Complete Epic Yarn Kirby): I think I get what the concept is behind the card, but it's not very well translated. Of course, Kirby transforms based on the actions he has to do and the environments he is in, but being not able to attack FIRE monsters is a little strange, isn't it? For the purpose of the card, he'd need an effect that switches the Battle Position of a monster so he can still do his work, just like he defeats that Fire Bird within the game. There are also some grammatical errors (proof-reading would help) and OCG problems to face on this card, not that much of an issue, but it bugs me everytime I look at it. I would've expected effects that also work together, not only blindly translate some aspects from the game and put into a card.

Shinato Demise of Oblivion (Whittle): Picture looks a bit awful if you ask me, but that's only a minor issue. The effects are basic, and I think there could've been done a lot more. I only watched a Let's Play from Super Mario Galaxy 2 (I don't have a Wii), but I think those little guys have a little more character to represent than just those few really boring effects. You could translate the first effect as the helpful advice they always try to give, but their couragous note isn't mentioned at all and I really don't know why they should reproduce themselves. That last effect shows their affection to the trees, but that could still have been done a little better.

RadioKirby (Lethal Strike): Really, really basic. Also, isn't the lethal strike mostly used when you attack the opponent? Overall, would make for a good realistic card, but I think as a pop culture card it doesn't have much to it. Of course, it represents a new mechanic in the game, but it's not a major thing if you ask me. Maybe the choice of the card itself wasn't the best, because it limits the possible effects a lot and doesn't have the possibility to give the card a lot of character. Still, for what it is, it's solid.

ninjarainbowcloud6! (Diddy Kong): Making it a Union is the only real choice you had, still, it's the most accurate depiction you can get. The second effect... to be quite honest, I don't know what it has to do with the game. It's an interesting effect nontheless so that it redeems itself a little. What I miss is his „Jet Pack“, to get both over dangerous cliffs and such. It's one of his core skills in the new game, but it isn't really mentioned. If you could add that, it would bump the score by a whole lot.

Admiral_Stalfos19 (John Marston): Interesting summoning conditions that are carried over to the card effect itself. The effect is a near perfect description of his pin point shooting skills and it would make the card quite useful, if it weren't for the fact that your opponent has to control 5 Defense Position monsters. 3 or more monsters would've been enough if you ask me. Still, the idea is nice, using the cards in your hand as ammunition and destroying any and all resistance your opponent might have in the backrow. To be quite honest, I don't know much about the character himself, but I guess you got that covered with the summoning condition.

Encapturer (Karis – Wind Adept): It already inherits the idea of a whole set, which is a major plus. Leaving out the Djinns in this one would have been a major flaw, but treating them as equips does them justice. Overall, the effect is nice, but I miss the characterization a little, except maybe you wanted to depict her strong will with the remaining effect, which could be interpretated that way... a little more DEF to make it actually useful would've been better though, maybe ranging into the 2000s. Still, the concept is quite interesting, I actually like that it's rather simplistic, but by implying that this could very well be part of a whole set and not only a single, it makes this way more enjoyable.

Zextra (Duality Divine, Kyurem of the Raging Blizzards): I said it once, and I will say it once more: This is too much. Since Pokémon have no character to characterize, it must be based solely on their effects, but remember, they can only carry 4 at a time. I suppose it's one of the new legendary Pokémon, and it sure looks like it with that loads of effects. Those range from creative to boring and jump back and forth between those two states. The problem I have is, that there are already 5.8 bajillion Pokémon, all with their 10.23 bajillion skills, but they just have no character to describe what you like about a game. It feels like just another overlong Pokémon card from yours. I can't say that it's bad, but it just bores me after a while.

M.B X (Goku): An interesting and useful card you got there. It depicts the character (from my knowledge) quite well and doesn't make him horribly overpowered for once, but balanced and actually quite realistic. Maybe a little too realistic, killing the aspect of the game that he has to represent. There are some core mechanics in Tenkaichi (I played part 3 once or twice) that could've been mentioned here and there, making it clear that this indeed should represent a game, and not just the anime character. However, the card is still very enjoyable, but doesn't quite make the cut.

General White (Beatiful Spartan Hologram): To be quite honest, I had a hard time figuring out what this should actually be. I didn't play Halo and couldn't find anything that resembles what's described in the card. It's a strange oddity of a card, not only the effect, but the presantation as a whole. Shadow couldn't help me much either, so we're stuck here. Still, it didn't impress me that much, though the effect sure is unique, it didn't quite catch my eye long enough. Sorry that I can't be more specific here, but it's just not worthy.

Alright, Shadow and I broke it down to 2 contestants that are equalls strong. And since I can't decide, I'll break my word (yeah, screw me up for it, I don't care) and declare 2 winners for this contest.

And those 2 are... *drumroll*

Admiral_Stalfos19 with an impressive John Marston performance!

And...

Encapturer with a sweet represantation of one of the new Golden Sun characters!

Both will have to deal with 500 points each (Sorry, I currently can't give any more), but of course will both be rewarded with 3 Reps (As soon as I can give them).

Thanks to everyone for participating, some of the cards were realy impressive, in the end, it was a close call, but there can only be one two!

Until the next contest, yours truly,

Spoon

Reminder: 1 Rep to Encapturer. If I should forget it, please PM me.

....!

Didn't expect I'd actually win a contest! I was planning to make a pop culture set, and this contest game me the drive to actually go ahead and do so. For actually making me stop being lazy and start up the set, I thank you.

Too bad finding pictures for the summons are near impossible @_@.
