"Stay a while, and listen..."

It's been a while since my last contest, so I thought, now that we're heading for the end of the year, let's do something memorable :)

2010 was a great year for gaming. You can't deny that. We had great games, horrible games, new peripherals, scandals, awesome events and much, much more. Unflinching from any economic crisis, the gaming market still manages to hold it's head up and look ahead, into a bright future full of more great games. But I bet you already knew that ;) So what are you here for today?

It's really simple: What is your Game of the Year 2010?

Of course, this does sound more simple than it is. Just naming that game doesn't cut it. This is YCM, we want to make cards
Answer the question "What is your Game of the Year 2010?" by making 1 card. No limitations to the card itself, just show us what you got :) It can be anything: A character from that game, a unit, landscape, the soundtrack, the story, gameplay mechanics, battle system... whatever you think would make a great card that represents your thoughts of this years "Game of the Year". You may or may not give additional infos what you like about the game, and why you think this belongs into any gamer's shelf.
- All YCM rules apply.

- No Spamming, Flaming, Trolling or anything related to that. I mean it, if I catch anybody spamming around in this thread, I'll warn them once, and then ban them from this contest.

- Just to make sure you read the above, write your Game of the Year in bold and italic! To be accepted, you have to do that, otherwise I'll just post a senseless video.

- The game(-card) you nominate must have been released this year, for the first time. Ports from a game that was released in an earlier year are not allowed! However, full fledged remakes are.
How many people can participate?

There is no limit to the number of contestant, anybody of any level can participate in this contest.

Is there an entry fee, and if yes, how much is it?

No, there is no entry fee. Donations can be made if you feel like it :)

What is the Modus Operandi?

1 Round, 1 Card, Battle Royal, up to 3 Judges (we'll come to that in a minute) and only 1 winner.

How can I become a Judge?

You can leave me a PM with the following content: Your top 3 nominations for Game of the Year 2010, including a short reason for each of them and a Pop Culture Card you consider your best (or at least solid) work.

How does judging work?

I myself don't have a scale. If any of the other judges have one, they can, of course, apply it. In the end, we'll try to come to a consensus, and if that's not possible, it's up to me to decide. We'll try to not just break it down to numbers, but give actualy reasons why we liked a card or not.

How long will this take?

Probably around 2 weeks from now on, depending on the number of contestants and how fast I can get 2 other judges. An exact deadline will be announced later on.

Ok then heres my card: The Game of the year is:

Napoleon Total War

And heres a Faction from the game
302788f.jpg[/img]
When this card is Normal Summoned you can add 1 "Prussia" or 1 "Germany" to your hand. As long as you control a face up "Germany", "Prussia" or "Russia" this card cannot be selected as an Attack target. If your opponent controls a face up "France" this card's original ATK becomes 2000. Each time this card destroys a monster as a result of Battle increase this cards ATK by 200. If this cards ATK exceeds 3000, destroy all other monsters you control. This card gains 200 ATK for each "Prussia" that was destroyed by this effect. This card gains 200 DEF for every "Germany" destroyed by this effect. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each "Russia" destroyed by this effect. If "France" was destroyed by this effect inflict 2000 points of damage to your opponents Life points.

I hope it's ok that i showed it with a chibi :)

Oh wait heres what I meant

Edited

Bloodline Rebellion is Tekken 6, at least outside of Japan. It was never released, therefor doesn't count :( Sorry that I'm nitpicking here, but you can't suggest a game that didn't came out this year for the VGA's either.

RESERVED! ....AGAIN!

my game is: plants vs. zombies

Technically, this is another game that was first released in 2009 (Steam)... though it was released on the home consoles this year. That's tricky... if I let that slide, I'd also have to agree to Tekken :( Since it's also sceduled for the DS in 2011, forgive me that I can't take it as a "nomination".

Kirby Epic Yarn

This card cannot be special summoned or set. This card cannot be summoned when you control 4 FIRE monsters in attack position. This card cannot destroy any FRE monsters in attack position. When there are 3 WATER monsters on your side of the field this card is also treated as an Aqua-type monster. When this card is on the field with 2 EARTH monsters this card is also treated as a Machine-type monster. When this card is treated as a Machine-type monster you can either

-Let this card attack twice per turn

-Give this card 250 Atk and 750 Def points. When this card evades an attack by your opponent this card is also treated as a WIND monster for 1 turn but this card cannot attack for that time.
