We've missed u. =DHeh, I'm surprised that I have been missed considering what made me leave... but I am back and working on my custom cards again! ... I do kinda have a favor to ask. You see a me and a friend off mine want to make our custom archetypes and duel each other using them, and I was thinking that it could be done using YVD... is it okay that we post the cards here to make sure they are balance, then have them put into a YVD set? Or someone could show me how to set it up myself and I'll do it... Link to comment

Counter Trap Send one Storm monster from your deck to your graveyard to negate and destroy a Trap, Spell or Effect Monster who's effect destroys a monster on the field Storm Trade Continuous Spell Card Once per turn, during your main phase. You can select one "Storm" monster on the field, then select a second "Storm" monster who's level is equal or less then the firsts. Reduce the first monster's ATK to 0 and increase the second's by the same amount until the end phase. Spirit of the Storm Continuous Spell Card You can active this effect once per your standby phase. Select one Storm Monster on the Field who’s level is divisible by four then select one Storm Monster in the graveyard with a level equal or less off it which is divisible be four. For this turn, the select monster on the field gains the effect off the selected monster in the graveyard Return of the Storm Continuous Spell Card Once per turn, during your end phase. You can pay 500 LP to select one "Storm" Monster that has been returned to your deck by its own effect who's level is less or equal to a "Storm" monster on the field and Special Summon it back to the field. ATK- 4000 Def- 3100 This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by tributing one "Darkiea, Dragoness of Darkness" that has been on the field for five of your turns. Once per turn, you can destroy one face-up monster your opponent controls. This card cannot be targeted by spells, traps, or monster effects. Each time a DARK monster is summoned. Draw 1 card. Return of the Storm Continuous Spell Card Once per turn, during your end phase. You can pay 500 LP to select one "Storm" Monster that has been returned to your deck by its own effect who's level is less or equal to a "Storm" monster on the field and Special Summon it back to the field. If there is no "Storm" Monster's on the field for the purpose off this cards effect, treat this card as a level four "Storm" Monsters. So basically swarm a Storm every turn for 500.... that's fine as long as your storms are relatively a weaker archetype alone. If he is a good player, they would just run 3x Scroll of Darkness and Darkiea, because waiting 3 turns for this won't pay off (or waiting 5 turns for that, without the Scroll....) Darkiea, Mistress of the Night Effect Monster Level 12. Dark. Dragon. ATK- 4000 Def- 3100 This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by tributing one "Darkiea, Dragoness of Darkness" that has been on the field for five of your turns. Once per turn, you can destroy one face-up monster your opponent controls. This card cannot be targeted by spells, traps, or monster effects. Each time a DARK monster is summoned. Draw 1 card. Such a Bo$$. It could be possible this + scroll of darkness + Darkeia is just broken. You get 4000 ATK, target protection, and major +'s. Even worse if they have cards that search these things out. If you have to go up against this, remember your Torrential and your Solemns... Scroll of Darkness Equip Spell You can only equip this card to "Darkiea the Dragoness" or "Darkiea, Dragoness of Darkness". The equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle and can be tributed instantly to summon the card that requires it. 'nuff said. Link to comment

As for my friends cards... well can you suggest how you would edit them? He wants them to rewards people with patience (as in, you don't get instant results) and for them to be a dark support. Also my friend has suggested these changes: To the Mistress of Darkness:ATK reduce to 3300Target effect removed. To the Scroll of Darkness:Tribute to summon next monster removed.If the equipped monster would be destroyed by card effect, you can destroy this card instead. Link to comment

Only if you think the storms themselves would benefit too greatly from that kind of swarming. But alright. As for my friends cards... well can you suggest how you would edit them? Patience is fine, but it seems waiting it out normally is UP'd and just using Scroll of Darkness for an instant boss with immunities is OP'd. He could Limit the scope of immunities, to say, just Spell cards or just Effect monsters. Or possibly a LADD-ish effect - for each effect negated, decrease ATK by 800? That's the main problem here, is very few cards can stand up against it. If you change that, IMO the other effects won't make it broke. EDIT: well, i guess that works too... xP Link to comment

Mentor Effect Monster Level 5 DARK Dragon ATK 1800 DEF 2000 Once per turn, by paying 1000 Life Points you can tribute one "Darkiea" monster card you control to special summon, from your hand, the card which requires that monster as a tribute (ignoring the summoning conditions). This monster obeys his master without question and is always at her side. ATK- 2350 DEF- 1400 Call of the Dragoness Trap Normal Activate only if 1 "Darkiea the Dragoness" monster you control is selected as an attack target. Rank 4. 2 or More Level 4 "Storm" monsters. 2850/1400 This card's attribute is the same as Exceed Materiel monsters used for this card. You can only have one monster per attribute as an Exceed Materiel monster off this card. This card gains the effects off its Exceed Materiel monsters (For effects that talk about level, treat its rank as its level.). If this card have five Exceed Materiel Monster's, you can send them all to the graveyard in order to special summon 1 "Envoy of the Storm" from your extra deck with this card as its Exceed Materiel monster. If you do, treat this card as a level eight "Storm" Monster off one attribute and have it gain its effect. If this card is an Exceed Materiel Monster at the end off your turn you can select one level eight "Storm" Monster in your deck. This card is now treated as this card in addition to any previous cards it has been treated as. Once per turn, you can pay 500 LP to tribute one level four "Storm" Monster who's attribute matchs this cards to special summon from your deck a level eight "Storm" Monster of the same attribute." If this card is destroyed, special summon two off its Exceed Materiel monsters to the field. This will be changed to an effect monster if I can't use Exceed monsters in YVD. Link to comment

Death Knight Posted June 2, 2011 Report Share Posted June 2, 2011 technically you have to work your way in order to submit archetype though. if you join, you most likely to submit generic or theme cards before you get your chance to submit an archetype because we are making each set at least around 100 like not 300 or 500 cards per se that be waaaay too much work =_= Link to comment
