[spoiler=Nox Cards]

|Nox Betrayer|0|????|Fiend/Effect|Dark|5||2300|1600|You can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard by removing from play 1 "Nox" monster in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can flip 1 card on the field face-down. If it was a Spell or Trap, you can add 1 "Nox" monster from your Graveyard to your hand. If it was a monster, you can add 1 "Nox" monster from your Deck to your hand.|

|Nox Manipulator|0|????|Fiend/Synchro/Effect|Dark|7||2500|1500|1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy face-down cards your opponent controls equal to the number of monsters used as Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of this card. When a card is flipped face-down, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Nox" monster from your Graveyard, or discard 1 random card from your opponents hand.|

|Nox Forger|0|????|Fiend/Effect|Dark|4||1400|900|You can discard this card to select 1 face-down card your opponent controls and and return it to the bottom of their Deck. During your turn, while this card is in the Graveyard, you can flip one card on the field face-down (if it is a monster, it is moved to face-down Defence Position) and add 1 "Nox" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Nox Forger". You can only activate this effect once per Duel.|

|Malevolent Uprise|0|????|Trap Card|Trap||Continuous|||When a "Nox" monster is sent to the Graveyard, you can flip one card on the field face-down (if it is a monster, it is moved to face-down Defence Position) and add 1 other "Nox" monster from Graveyard to your hand.|

|Midnight Hold|0|????|Spell Card|Spell|||||Select 1 face-down card your opponent controls. Remove it from play and send 1 "Nox" monster from your Deck to your Graveyard.|

Yeah, they could get a little bit better once I get the chance to give them some more support. But I get the feeling Betrayer and Manipulator will get the thumbs down treatment.

Also, Manipulator and Forger are a bit generic. :3

[spoiler=Nox Cards]

+1's and stuff. Provides an easy beater, nullifies opponents cards and recycles more noxes for easy removal. Also, reusable in itself. Dang.

Generic lv7 synchro which can clear the backrow quite easily and beatdown. In noxes is even worse. Both it's materials work intricately with each other too. Summon Betrayer, scheme it out, remove facedown. Summon Betrayer again. Flip facedown, swarm again, or discard. Attack with 2 beaters on a clear field.

Everyone would run this. 1 for 1 in itself and also avoids any triggering when destroyed and revival from grave. 2nd effect adds salt to the wounds in noxes, with moar facedowns and +1's.

2 exploiters love this card. Constantly flip your opponent's entire field facedown for an effective lock.

|Midnight Hold|0|????|Spell Card|Spell|||||Select 1 face-down card your opponent controls. Remove it from play and send 1 "Nox" monster from your Deck to your Graveyard.|

Moar pain and +1's. Makes betrayer ridiculously fast.

Yeah, they could get a little bit better once I get the chance to give them some more support. But I get the feeling Betrayer and Manipulator will get the thumbs down treatment.

Sorry to say this but i think all of them would get it. Just look how popular Nox's are right now with only 5 cards. Too much removal/+1s.

Once per turn you can activate an effect of a card that required a six-sided die roll or coin flips once more.|

Cool effect, but reminder that this IS gamble based, i.e. still very risky, so this would most likely be UP'd.

|A Roll of Second Chance|0|xxxx|Spell Card|Spell||Quick-Play|||When an effect of a card roll a six-sided die, declare a number then re-roll it, if the result is the number you declare, draw 1 card.|

Incredibly UP'd. With only a 1/6 chance and limited activation timeframe it would be usable if you draw 3 instead, for example :P

not sure if this wordings is corrected.

|Great Dice, Risk Hand|0|xxxx|Trap Card|Trap|||||Roll a six-sided die. If the result is 1, 3 or 5, draw 1 card time s the number of the result. If the result is 2,4,6, discard 1 card times the number of the result.|

Very risky and interesting. But, with no hand you have nothing to lose and only lucksack to gain, like drawing 5 cards. I think it would need some condition to activate. But still uncertain about it.

|Second Side of a Charity|0|xxxx|Spell Card|Spell|||||Flip a coin. If the result is Head, draw 1 card and your opponent discard 1 card. IF the result is Tail, discard 1 card and your opponent draw 1 card.|

Cool little card. Like a nastier Cup of Ace >=D

Dangerous Machine type 6 i see. :D Cool.

Okay, so the tournament to test decks has begun.

So far, from what I have seen or heard, I can come up with the following:

-Sudden Bloom + Phoenixian Flower = free synchros

-WereLord's internet connection likes to disconnect

-Nobody thinks Mezzos or Essence needs to be tested.

-CPLC trap cards are genius.

Post results when you finish your duel

Link to comment

Results:

* Pegasus Flock needs a restriction so it doesn't swarm like insanity

* Electric Current is helllllllllla broke

* Flash Serpent needs something to make Fallen Soldier worth using (possibly just send 1 Flash monster from deck to grave is good enough)

* Dark Sworlord is deadly when one has the advantage, so it needs something (and possibly name misspelling, "Swordlord"? :P)

[spoiler=Nox Cards]

Finally, Nox get some support with attacking power. This is exactly what Nox need. If you want to remove the +1s you can just get rid of the bolded part.

When a card is flipped face-down, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Nox" monster from your Graveyard, or discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand.|

Another thing Nox need - Synchros to summon. This CCG suffers from a dire lack of good Synchro targets for Nox to summon and this remedies it nicely. You could remove the last sentence if you want to weaken it a bit.

|Nox Forger|0|????|Fiend/Effect|Dark|4||1400|900|You can discard this card to select 1 face-down card your opponent controls and and return it to the bottom of their Deck. During your turn, while this card is in the Graveyard, you can flip 1 card on the field face-down (if it is a monster, it is moved to face-down Defence Position) and add 1 "Nox" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Nox Forger". You can only activate this effect once per Duel.|

Perfect (and balanced) removal for Nox. Supports the Control theme nicely and the last effect has a good clause to stop it from being abused. Keep in mind that it is a -1 to your advantage when you discard this card, Seattleite.

Broken.

|Midnight Hold|0|????|Spell Card|Spell|||||Select 1 face-down card your opponent controls. Remove it from play and send 1 "Nox" monster from your Deck to your Graveyard.|

Good, solid and balanced support for Nox. Supports the control theme and isn't a +0.

@ Werelord - speaking of which we need to discuss Gift from a Glutton.

Gift from a Glutton has quite a few things that make it good and bad

The only time there is no down side is when you are using a Fallen Savior deck. It's Upstart Goblin just instead of 1 draw you get 2 [it's equalivilent of using two Upstart Goblins] It's a Trap which means it's prone to possible destruction before activation. It's a Trap version of Pot Of Greed but at the same time giving your opponent 2000 more Lp to do with as they pls. But Right now it is the Main Burn/Lp Regain card in the whole Deck. So if you deem it absoultely neccacary Limit it or ban it but I would like to point out that just because the card is 2 draws doesn't mean it will be used in all decks simply because of the plus 2000 lp to your opponent when you play it. So In my oppion it doesn't need a limit at all because it would be a very stupid Idea to use it unless in a Fallen Savior deck. You don't see everyone running Upstart Goblin

I really don't feel like arguing right now. If you want them in Traditional, fine, but there is no way cards like these are balanced for the Advanced CCG.

You can't just ignore my points completely - I even offered good fixes. It's unfair and irritating when you just refuse to even respond.

Gift from a Glutton is a terrible card. For starters, it's a Trap, which means it requires a turn of set-up. This cripples it a lot. Secondly, it gives your opponent 2000 LP. That is a really, really big flaw. There is a reason that Upstart Goblin isn't a staple - the LP gain is considered too much even in a format where LP is ignored unless it is near 0. It has very big drawbacks and the +1 advantage it gives is not enough to make those drawbacks worth it. It is useless outside of Fallen Savior and Terzo decks (one of which hasn't even been released).

Sorry, it was a bad day. Now I can reply:

Nox Betrayer - With the amount of removal Nox have, and the fact this card is a reusable BoM with a very miniscule cost is dangerous. Even without the last 2 sentences, this effect combined with the other newly reviewed cards is just too much.

Nox Manipulator - The lack of Lv7s has been duly noted. However, like betrayer, even without the last sentence, is OP'd. It wipes out the back row easily and is a 2500 ATK beatstick. Easily can swarm with Lazer Bow and Betrayer.

Nox Forger - Ok, we have different perceptions of card advantage. I count card removal as adding to the equation. But still, it's easy unconditional 1 for 1 removal which cannot be tolerated in this CCG. The second effect will also give you more targets for removal and end up with a +1 (or +0) for you.

Midnight Hold - another 1 for 1 which is untolerable. Also makes easy dumping for Betrayer. That is all.

@ Werelord - Oh, I thought I heard a few people saying we needed to fix Glutton. Nevermind then.

Is there a way for me to make my own cards for the YVD? I see there's a set file, but I don't see a way to edit the existing cards.

Ok, first of all, this belongs in the Questions and Help section. Second, this is a CCG, so we use a community set which everyone submits cards into. If you want to join our club, you can use the Entry App. Thanks.

|Book of Dark Arts|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||None|||Destroy one face up monster you control and search your deck for one spell or trap card and add it too your hand, then shuffle your deck.|

Too much searching for limited S/T. Sorry, OP'd.

|Resign From War|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||None|||Return one monster on your side of the field to your hand.|

Alright, but I'm not sure how this would be much use... maybe Quick-Play? Still UP'd, but it could find some use in the future.

|Genetic Mutations|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||Continuous|||Send one card you control to the Graveyard and declare one monster type. All monsters face up on the field become the declared type. Any cards that are already the declared type are unaffected by this cards effect.|

Good card. For OCG though, last sentence is not needed ;)

|Spell Bound Soldier|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||Continuous|||Any monster affected by a spell cards effect (besides this one) cannot attack while this card is face up on the field.|

Hmm, i think you'll have to define "affected" or this card can get confusing. Would this include cards like Gentleman's Duel?

|Foolish Funeral|0|XXXX|Trap Card|Trap||Quick-Play|||Send one face up monster you contol, and one monster in your deck to the graveyard.|

Alternative to Fallen Soldier although I still think Fallen Soldier is better. Alright, though.

|Exoskeleton Protection|0|XXXX|Trap Card|Trap||Quick-Play|||When an insect type monster is sent to the graveyard, special summon it on your side of the field instead.|

Good addition to insects.

|Population Increase|0|XXXX|Trap Card|Trap||Quick-Play|||Negate a normal summon, set, or tribute summon and special summon the monster instead.|

Yeah, you'll have to define this a little better too. Counts toward the turn's Normal Summon or Set?

|The Power of Sacrifice|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||None|||Send one monster you contol to the graveyard and draw cards equal to that monsters level. Special summon one monster you drew and discard the rest to your graveyard. IF you did not draw a monster, discard all the cards you drew.|

Just wayyyy too much draw... obviously with a Lv8 synchro or something you draw 8 and SS something, like Reasoning on crack.

|Even the Odds|0|XXXX|Trap Card|Trap||Quick-Play|||If your opponent has more monsters on the field than you, special summon one level 4 or lower monster from your deck or hand.|

"From the Deck" is too much search power for an easy Synchro or something. The requirements i'd suggest be a little harder than a CyDra's requirement.

|Ledakan Defender LV 1|0|XXXX|Insect/Tuner|Fire|1||0|500|While this card is in Face up defense position your opponent cannot select another Insect Type monster as an attack target. When this card is removed from the field deal damage to your opponents life points equal to 100 x the number of Ledakan Counters on this card. You can send this card from the field to the graveyard to special summon one Ledakan Defender LV 5 from your hand.|

Seems UP'd, but ok.

|Ledakan Defender LV 5|0|XXXX|Insect/Tuner|Fire|5||0|2000|While this card is in Face up defense position your opponent cannot select another Insect Type monster as an attack target. When this card is removed from the field deal damage to your opponents life points equal to 300 x the number of Ledakan Counters on this card. You can send this card from the field to the graveyard to special summon one Ledakan Defender LV 7 from your hand.|

Still seems up'd but ok.

|Ledakan Defender LV 7|0|XXXX|Insect/Tuner|Fire|7||0|3200|While this card is in Face up defense position your opponent cannot select another Insect Type monster as an attack target. When this card is removed from the field deal damage to your opponents life points equal to 500 x the number of Ledakan Counters on this card. IF an insect type monster is sent to the graveyard while this card is faceup on the field, shuffle it into the respected owners deck instead.|

You know, you can just easily summon the higher levels with Lava Worm which kinda makes the lower levels obsolete..

|Ledakan Rage Insect|0|XXXX|Insect/Synchro/Effect|Fire|6||0|0|This card cannot select another monster as an attack target. When this card has 12 Ledakan Counters on it, destroy this card and deal 1000 damage to your opponents life points.|

First sentence makes no sense at all... Second sentence, i'm gonna guess and say gaining lekadan counters is by the cards you posted in the forum, so incredibly Underpowered. Make the damage much higher :)
