What does RRA do?

 

Really Rude Awakening

Group: Trap Card

Type: Trap

Icon:Continuous

Activate When you take battle damage and you control no monster, Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard. That monster gains ATK equal to the amount of battle damage you took this turn. When that monster destroys a monster, destroy this card after the damage calculation. If this card is destroyed, destroy the monster. If the monster is destroyed, destroy this card.

@ Y&A - alright, I have some ideas:

 

* Limit it - makes the combo harder to pull off. Under a dedicated deck you could search it (divining rod), but it would be an unstable one.

 

* Change "when it destroys a monster in battle..." to "when it attacks, after damage calculation..." This would stop the combo dead but also let you use 3 copies freely.

 

Which one sounds better?

@ dtw - thanks for your input. The tourney will start in a few days, I guess we'll play it by ear. We still have to test some decks first, see if there are broken combos, get used to the new set, etc.

 

What decks will be used? That's entirely up to you :)

well i guess the second once would be good, but would it make it Uped afterward? well i guess it would good to have it as or add it cannot attack a player or so.

 

playing by ear? that will be a problem for me :S

Well I don't want to make it UP'd, but if you had a direct attacker you could still swing for some damage. Just not multiple attackers like Arma =P

well on the second though, maybe we should wait a bit if there more OTK potential with it, i only got OTk'd cos i let my guard down, but i averted the combo with Nox Exploiter and won on my next round. the combo still pretty vulner, it's all offence but no defence

Staggering Endurance may have to change the wording. it's like taunted maniac. it should rewords from "Until the end of the Battle Phase, select 1 Attack Position monster you control, that monster loses 500 ATK. All monster yours opponent controls must attack that monster and it is not destroyed. The battle damage you would take is doubled."

 

to

 

"Until the End of Battle Phase, select 1 Attack position monster you control, that monster lose 500 ATK and DEF and your opponent's monsters can only attack the select monster. The select monster is not destroyed by battle and the Battle Damage you would take is doubled."

 

this way it's doesn't force your opponent to attack the monster, they can skip heir battle instead.

That sounds like it would make it incredibly UP'd, are you sure?

well it was considered to be broken for the opponent. it wasn't intentionally suppose to force it was suppose to control the selection during the battle. and it's suppose to be Up'd itself

this make it less Up'd without the stats loss.
