Mushroom Dimentia: A Mario RPG [Nexev is Co-Host]

[The Warden]

Toad Town, it's a place with mushroom shaped houses and a very nice mall district. It near the Princess [s]Kidnap[/s] Peach's castle. It's very nice, very *Sigh* pink. Toad Town is deserted now however, since the dissapearance of Mario, Luigi and Peach, all the Toads went to hide in the sewers underneath Toad Town. Currently the area by the fountain is occupied by several individuals, some of Koopa descent, some of Goomba blah blah blah. Nearest to the fountain was a Koopa with thick lenses and wearing a dress. He was shouting very loudly for no apparant reason. 'IS THIS IT?!' he shouted, despite the fact that seven other people was quite generous for a party.

[Mr. Hyde]

Blaine gave a thumbs up. He was ready to ditch the scene and go off into unknown adventure. This town was starting to depress him anyways. Lance had a green shiny shell. Almost emerald like in transparency. He looked at the Magikoopa and nodded. "When are we gonna get this show on the road?" He asked the koopa in a dress. He was cracking up on the inside. He loved jokes. And he was a really funny guy. "I'm really ready for anything right now! I'm so pumped!" His eyes almost popped out of his head.

[Tourmaline]

Wight didn't say much, as the other two spoke. Wight was a bit different, than most Dry Bones. His general color theme is a black and red one, with huge emphasize on the black, but with small, red stripes and such all over. His eyes were still yellow, though, allowing him to keep a degree of similarity to his kind, besides the body shape. Wight was looking around the area, which was painfully deserted. It was quite visible that the town was in a state of shock, though. The homes of toads and citizens of Toad Town had pests and insects everywhere. It gave Wight quite a homely feeling, though. He slowly stepped to the Koopa wearing a dress, "Definitely. This place is barren!" He hissed.

"Yep!" Taylor nodded. "This is all that's coming, unfortuanately." She said sadly, gazing out at her home town. The entire town was deserted, and cobwebs stuck to windows and bridged the gaps between half-open door. To be honest, she couldn't wait to get out of the place, save Peach, Mario and Luigi, and restore Toad Town back to it's old, cheerful self. She also couldn't wait to go out on a proper adventure. It'd be her first, and hopefully very exicting. "I hope we leave soon..." She muttered quietly.

[Nexev]

[i]Mushroom city, it stinks, stinks with the stench of stinky things. Man I am so f***ing smooth sometimes. Seriously.[/i] Nexev the goomba thought as he walked among the streets, his cannon in tow. [i]This city is a piece of s*** but it's my piece of s***, I need to protect it from the forces o- oh my god they are having a 50% sale on shroom shake! That's a crazy bargain! I have to come back here some time.[/i] The goomba then sat next to Taylor "Hey lady? I hope your chilly, because your about to head off into a living hell." [i]Man I'm badass.[/i]

Keppa bounced his wand in is hand. 'Damn damn damn' he chattered to himself. This was just fanfreakingtastic. The world was in danger and so few were willing to help. Maybe the flier he dropped weren't the best choice. Bah, it's what Kamek would have done. Any flier that reads 'Help save your country if you know what's good for you' sounded like a very good slogan. He then pointed his wand at the Toadette. 'YOU!' do you have ny combat experience?' he demanded.

Taylor looked up, surprised. "Me? Weeelll....... Yeah, I do have some combat experience." She said. "But I'm not exactly what you'd call a battle master or anything....." Looking around, she sighed. "[i] Our team leader is a bit of a jerk....[/i]" She thought, glancing back at him momentarily. "[i] I mean, he wears a dress....and he's a guy........ A bit jerk like, in my opinion at least.[/i]" She sighed again. "I hope we start soon; Toad Town is beginning to depress me." She unwillingly said aloud.

Bloin inspected the rest of his party. It consisted of a rude Magikoopa, who unfortunately is also the team leader, an annoying goomba who thinks he's manly, a kind toadette (Bloin likes her), a fairly normal koopa who can be arrogant but is okay overall, a sarcastic yet nice Shy guy (Bloin likes him too), a reckless bob-omb, a throw happy lakitu, a snaky dry bones, & a demented monty mole. Then there is him. Bloin is a quirky, intelligent dark blue yoshi with poor social skills. He walks over to Taylor the Toadette and spoke in a strong yoshi accent. "This team composition scares me overall. So much much could screw up with so many people who look and/or act incompetent." He starts to be scared, then he remembers that things in the mushroom kingdom most always work out. But then A nagging voice in the back of his head speaks. [i]That was when we had Mario.[/i] Bloin is scared again, & awaits Taylor's reply.

Wight watched as the rest of the group interacted. This was an unusual kind of team, for sure. Many of the personalities of these people clash, yet...[i]probably[/i] all of them had the same motives. Saving this land is probably a major one, though, that was of little doubt. He was being sure to at least minimally analyze these other people. All of them were certainly interesting, because of the same reason as previously stated. "Where should we begin?" He asked a question directed at nobody in particular, although it was possible somebody could have heard him ask the question, from the commotion the group had been creating.

[Quiksilver]

"Hey, buddy!" A voice suddenly shouted at Keppa, his voice colored by a Scottish accent, which, of course, didn't exist in this world. A small, mole-like creature stepped forward to the Magikoopa, his small, scrunched eyes looked directly at Keppa. "Lay off the Toadette, now." Monty said furiously. "You all know that we have a little battle experience, and not much more than that. I mean, it's common sense. We've had to rely on Mario and his shrimpy brother- Weggie, was it?- so barely any of us have battle experience...but it DOESN'T make us incompetent." Em directed a glare at Bloin. "I'm SURE we'll be able to take on this new problem without any stupid Italians to help us."

Keppa stared down Em, but his better sense of judgement came into action. It was only natural when regarding this particular Monty Mole. 'Those of Bowser's grand army of course have experience to speak of, having gone through the rigorous training of their cache; but it is best to know if the more....peaceful Toads and Toadettes know how to fight as not to drag us down in battle' he said briskly, trying to not speak through his teeth.

[Quiksilver]

Em seemed ignorant of the danger he was in when dealing with Keppa with his final muttering, "And yet, that training seemed SO effective when Mario came around..." Nevertheless, there was a certain type of respect in Monty's eyes. His anger finally abated, the mole turned to the group just in time to hear Blaine, and a second later, Wight, pose the same question. "Yeah, I wonder when we're going?" Em agreed, glancing about thoughtfully. No one was around the deserted town square, with only their small group in sight. "This [i]is[/i] a little creepy..."

[Mr. Hyde]

Blaine looked at the mole. "Yeah i agree. I say we get a move on!" He then looked at Keppa. "Unless Mr. Putmyselfincharge is ready to go?" Blaine chuckled. He liked laughing at his own jokes. This was certainly a rag tag team of random mushroom kingdom characters. Hopefully they could take down whatever evil menace is trying to take over this...sorta peaceful world. "So, Keppa is it? Where are we heading off to first? I mean it's not like we have an exact destination to travel to. Unless we're going to like, Bowser's Castle and stuff?"

Keppa put his hands on his hips. 'If you wanna know, Mr. Ilaughatmyownterribadjokes, I have already arranged for an airship sent directly from Bowser's fleet to collect us. Then we'll decide to a destination, I-for-one feel we should utilize Bowser's library to read up on any odd occurences in our kingdom. For you non-believers, just because our king isn't fond of books doesn't mean he shouldn't have a library. I am certain Peach has her own library, but it's probably full of recipe books or somethign stupid like that' Keppa stated.

Taylor looked angrily at Keppa after his last statement, but avoided mentioning anything. She instead decided to reply to 1 of his previous comments. "Just because us Toads and Toadette's are peaceful," She stated. "Doesn't mean we don't know how to fight. As we rarely come into the story anyway, everyone ASSUMES we are inferior fighters. Sure, we can't top Mario and Bowser, but we'll fight if we must."

[Mr Dr Professor Spaz]

Cumulus butted into the conversation. "Ooh pick me as a tour guide. I know everything about everywhere Mario[sub]TM[/sub] has been, mostly because I stalked him, and I downloaded all of the videos to my Ipod, which is now being held by the Spiny in my infinite storage cloud with the number 4367098 written in red Sharpie. That's why I never throw him. Also, as soon as we see something odd, I'm planning to pick up that Bob-omb and throw him. Just don't complain if you get by a Spiny. If you do, I pick you up with my little fishing rod and throw you. Got that?"

"You shouldn't assume that we aren't fighters because it's not our jobs. I do happen to have combat experience, from defending my village from the likes of you & other Bowser minions!" Bloin yelled at Keppa. "And furthermore, some of us us have valuable skills that aren't combat related. Cumulus knows a lot about what Mario would do, Masque de Masque knows a lot about items & culture, and I know lots about science. Others here likely have similar knowledge, all of which is usefu-." During his tyrade, Bloin accidentally sucked some spit down his trachea, started coughing, then resumed speaking. "Useful. Now, we all brought some coins, so I say we hit the local shop, stock up, then go. Where are we going any way Keppa?"

[The Warden]

Keppa tapped his wand against him palm whilst impatiently listening to Bloine. 'You done?' he inquired once Bloine finished. 'Good, now if you want to spend your coins, do it now. A shop in the Toad Town mall is still open, but it's run by a crazy old Toad. However, crazy as he is, he happens to have found quite a few AP blocks around, which can give the buyer a bonus of five AP. However, he's selling them for one hundred coins a piece. So you must make the decision of whether to get items for the team, or AP for yourself. And don't forget, AP can be converted into TP for the group. Now, you'd better be quick, the airship will be here shortly' Keppa stated and strutted off to said crazy old Toad.

He was covered in dust and wore an eye-patch. He only had one tooth left as well. 'Yesh?' the Toad lisped. 'One AP block' Keppa stated. 'A hundredsh coinsh pleash' the Toad said, dribbling a little. Keppa reached into his robes and pulled out a coin sack. The Toad reached behind the counter and handed Keppa a block shaped from jigsaw pieces. Keppa accepted and held it up, releasing five glowing balls. He looked around slyly. 'Convert to TP' he commanded. The balls shimmered and changed colour to blue and vanished. Each member of the party received an odd blue glow as a oud voice shoutedL

Taylor reckoned going to see this apparently crazy Toad would be a wise idea. Afterall, the more help they had, the better. In this case, however, the more helpful items, the better their chancs where. Making her decision, she jogged after Keppa, her pink pigtails flicking behind her.

A minute or two later, Taylor slowed down to a walk, and entered the shop. "Yesh?" Taylor rumaged for her coins, and replied. "I would like a Toad Bangle, please." The toad nodded. "A wish choish. A hundredsh coinsh pleash." Taylor rummaged again, and pulled out her coin bag. She handed it to him. The Toad took it, then reached behind the counter, pulling out a Toad Bangle. He handed it to Taylor. "Thank you!" She said politely, leaving the shop.

She slowed to a stop. "Now I have an item for la-" She was interupted when she glowed blue momentarily. Her eyes opened wide, then she relaxed. "Almost forgot! Keppa said you can convert AP to TP, so he must have done that, and upgraded our team rank!" She eyed the Toad Bangle. "Last I checked, Rank 2 lets you equip a piece of gear. A Toad Bangle is a Gear, so now I can equip it!" She pocketed the Bangle anyway. "I'll do it later. I don't won't to keep everyone else waiting while I use an object for my own needs." She shook her head, and continued.

[Mr. Hyde]

Blaine listend in as Keppa talked about the shop. "I think i'm going to go pay this crazy old fella a visit." While on his way, he was surrounded by a blue aura. He kinda just let it pass instead of freaking out. "I think i'm going to have to get used to that..." Blaine said shrugging. Upon entering the shop, Blaine looked around. There was a certain item that appealed to him greatly. "May i have that Shell Plating?!" The odd looking Toad nodded.
"Only ifsh you got the right amount of coins. The cost is 100." Blaine looked at the floor.
"All 100.....fine." Blaine threw the bag at the Goomba and took the Shell Plating from the countertop.

[Nexev]

Nexev walked towards Crazy Toad. [i]Ah, yes, crazy toad. One of the old ones, he made this town for what it is, a greasy stank filled slopbucket of filth.[/i] "I require some ammo Toad, here is the payment." Nexev said as he kicked a bag of fifty coins to the toad. [i]The money is meaningless anyway, it's dirty, just like everything else in town. [/i]
Wordlessly, Toad handed him the ammo and Nexev started to take his leave. "Hey" Crazy Toad said, stopping Nexev. "She never blamed you for what happened, not even at the end." Nexev paused for a moment, unsure what to say "Just... keep your fairy tales to yourself." [i]This town didn't used to be hell, once everyone was either a hero or a villin. But now, where are the heroes now?[/i]

[Quiksilver]

"My turn." Em said meaningfully, than pulled out a coin sack and started meticulously counting out coins.

"34...35...36..."

"Yoush know, I cans do thats for yah," The Crazy Toad said, watching Em impatiently.

"60...61...62..."

"Its goes very quickly, yah. Almost magicallish, y'know."

"87...88...89...That's crazy, old man, keep your hocus-pocus to yourself...99...100! There, a hundred coins! Now. That Ace Spade, please." Em looked proud, and then pointed at the item hanging from the store's wall. Wordlessly, the old Toad handed over the Ace Spade. "Thank you, you crazy old kook." Em hurried away from the shop and rejoined his friend, leaving the Crazy Toad looking at him incredulously.

Bloin decided he would take his own advice. So, he went to Crazy Toad's to stock up on items. As it turns out, Crazy Toad is a family friend of Bloin's. He walked through the door and a little bell rang. "Well, ilf it ilshn't Bloin. Howl haf thilngs been?" "Pretty good, Mr. Willis. My social skills are improving." "Welsh, thats peretty good. Were tholse your friends?" "The toadette is, the rest are just partners." "Well, can i helsp you?" "Yeah, I'll take 3 yoshi eggs and 2 mushrooms." "Well, that'll be 100 coins." "I know." Well, thalnks for yer buisiness." Thank you." Bloin said as he handed over the coins. "Bye." "Bye." Bloin walked out the door. "How many of you still need to by things? Our ride can come at any time."
