Naruto: Black [IC / Not Accepting / Started]

"Hmm?" Yamato asked, looking up. He saw a hawk that seemed to be headed his way... no, it didn't seem to be heading his way, it was. "That's no ordinary hawk..." Yamato stood up and held out his arm for the hawk to land on. When it did, Yamato removed the parcel attached to it's leg. Reading it, he grew slightly alarmed. From the looks of this message, everyone of the anbu were being called, or at least the best of the best. This couldn't be just a drill, or a test to see how fast they could form together, the message would have requested everyone for that. Which could only mean that some threat has come up. Yamato folded the parcel and placed in one of his pockets then let the hawk fly. He looked down at his chess board and pieces and began to place them in their respective places as fast as he could. Once they were all in place, he gather the board and the pieces and put them in his pack. once his chess board was secured, he reached inside of his pack and pulled out his heart shaped mask. Placing it over his face, he said to himself, "It's time I got going..." Using the body flicker technique, he was outside of the office within a couple of minutes. Looking around, he didn't see many, so he decided to wait for some of the others.

Inotsu and Hayate had arrived at the chief's office. "Yamato, you're here too huh? So it seems you also got the message, and not to mention there's Yukan here too. This must be really urgent to involve the higher ranked ANBU operatives like us. Very well, let's enter, you know the chief, when something important comes up, he always want to see us on time and ready for anything so let's go." Inotsu said. Inotsu knocked on the door and awaited an answer. "Come in." the chief's voice emanated from inside. Inotsu opened the door and walked in with the others. "Ahh! So you lazy bums finally arrived huh?! What's stopping me from unloading my fists into your sorry faces???" the chief yelled loudly. Everybody knew the chief always gets like this during a crisis.

"Calm down chief.... Anyways, we're here. what's the matter?" Inotsu asked. "Not yet.... Not until the rest arrives." the chief stated then returned to his calm desposition. "(Well he surely changes attitude fast....)" Inotsu thought to himself with a sweatdrop on his head.

-By the time Ookami had arrived he was already dressed in his standard attire that most of the ANBU operatives saw him in. His mask clearly shown over his face that appeared to look like a wolf or dog-like creature. His gaze shifted noticing the ANBU chief's door already open. Ookami could feel the chakra of other individuals within the room aside from the chief's. Lifting his hand up; the Hyuga pushed the door open revealing himself. To no surprise he saw Inotsu, Hayate, Yukan, and Yamato already present in front of the ANBU chief.-

[i]To request this group of high ranking ANBU operatives? This must be important.[/i]

-With a simple thought in mind; Ookami approached the four operatives. They had all been on missions together so this was no sad story to put an end to.-

-Everyone knew of Ookami's way of silence? They knew of how he showed through of [i]actions speaking louder then words[/i]; so there was no reason for him to speak. Only to show his presence to the chief ANBU that he was present and ready. To actually get the word of what happened, and why they were all called here so suddenly?-

"Yes, I feel this must be some sort of urgent matter if he's calling all of his knights, rooks, and bishops to station... but still, if we're all to be working towards the same goal, the game will easily be won," Yamato answered Inotsu. He followed the group inside and listened to the chief yell and them. He looked down at his watch and saw that it had hardly been three minutes since he had gotten his hawk. [I] If he's this stressed out, this must be something major. I can't rule out the possibility of invasion, however unlikely, or worse, supposed annihilation. We must be cautious...[/I] "Permission to sit down while we're waiting?" Yamato asked the chief.

"I agree with you Yamato. We just need to effectively work as a team and everything will be fine. Afterall, this team rarely fails any mission. I like your enthusiasm Yamato." Inotsu responded with a friendly smile. Just then, Ookami walked through the door. "Ahh, Ookami it's you. So I'm guessing you're part of this too huh?" Inotsu said as he watched Ookami walked over to the group. "Go ahead a make yourself comfortable, because later I'm afraid you won't have the damn chance to. We're still waiting on a couple more people before we can get this damn thing underway, and they better hurry up or else I'm making them a late party." the chief explained loudly.

"That's fine with me," Yamato said. He walked over to the nearest chair and sat down in it. He pulled the pack off of his back and took out the chess board and pieces. Placing the chess board on the ground, he began assembling the pieces in their proper order. This time the white pieces were facing Yamato. [I]All of the knights, rooks, and bishops are being assembled. Assuming the King is the current village leader and the queen being the village itself, we're all in attendance minus the Jonin that serve as sacrificial pawns. Now, what kind of force could it be that could possibly hope of defeating out military strategy...[/I] Yamato studied the black king for a moment or so before placing it in its respective area on the board.

-Inotsu was right on that part; this team of ANBU operatives worked extremely well together and barley failed any missions? So to assemble them like this only meant that something was actually wrong. The ANBU chief seemed a little on edge, and a little worried at that of what was actually going on. So far there was only five ANBU operatives present at the time? Question remained: [i]How many more are going to show up?[/i] Ookami nodded to Inotsu who greeted him as he approached. A slight nod came to Ookami's head signaling that he was also summoned here as well by the ANBU chief. His gaze moved over to a few of the ANBU operatives that stood waiting. There had to be a few more that were to come, and they were now waiting for their arrival so they could get this whole meeting started, and figure out what's going on?-

Kai pur all his loose clothes on except hios mask, he put his mask over his head as he noticed a hawk flying in the air. Kai lifted up his arm as he noticed a message from the ANBU headquarters dropped towards him. "A mission?" he thought to himself as he opened the flier and began reading it, "This message, its adressed tot he whole squad, to be summoned all together, must be a difficult task." Kai smirked as he put his mask on and leaped into the air reappearing on a branch of a tree and dashing through the forest at a rapid speed. "SO ANBU headquarters, beena whiule since my last mission, hope I'm not rusty.

As Hayate and Inotsu walked into the office they where greeted by a very furious Chief of the Anbu who started to yell at them for being late. Hayate chuckled aas Inotsu asked the chief what was up and got a serious but still more soft answer in that being "I'll explain when everyone arrives." Hayate turned toward the door as other members of the Anbu had arrived and slowly but surely assembled inside the room. "This seems a little drastic even for a big mission a Chief?" He stepped back against the wall leaning his shoulders against it in a relative relaxed position. "Where is eveyone else they should be here by now, though I was never acctually officially called for this I can only assume since I haven't been kicked out I am a part of it as well." Hayate said, his usual serious tone emerged as he began to become irratable from waiting.

Soon it seemed all or atleast most of the members had arrived and some others who where all ready their where lounging around and doing other things while waiting, but Hayate remained in his relaxed but ready moment for the meeting to began. "Chief, I guess now isn't the best time for a debriefing of my last mission correct? It'll probably have to wait till after were told what where all here for correct?"

Kai continued to think of the possible mission the ANBU could be taking, could it be to assassinate a wanted S-Rank criminal? No even for the likes of that they wouldn't require all of the ANBU's squad. This was something much bigger it had to be, 3 would be enought for the suggested outcome. Kai grew up most of his life without his family, he never knew what happened to his father nor what happened to his mother for that matter, other then that they were both killed by rogue ninja, lukily however he did spend time with his mother when he was young, most people say that his anger is out of control because of his mothers inability to continue taking care of him as he grew to an adult. Kai continued to dash along until he approached the ANBU headquarters, he could sense the chakra of other who were already inside. "Great, i'm late, not gonna here the end of this I bet." kai thought to himself as he walked to the door and opened it.

Yukan looked all the elite ANBU operatives and felt a little overwhelmed. [i]"Why am I included with all these superior shinobi? No, I can't think like that, I was called for for a reason. I should be happy I get to be partnered with the elite shinobi of ANBU."[/i] Yukan smiled. The chief was about to explain the mission. Yukan looked around to study who he would be working with. He hadn't really been paired up with anyone there before, but he knew the shinobi from their fame. [i]"Well I guess I'll know all of them after this mission."[/i]

"Drastic?! I know not the meaning of the word! When I need you here then you have to be here, not complain, got that?!" the chief responded in an irritable voice. "Alright Chief, I think it's a good idea to just get to it. You can send a late team in later can't you?" Inotsu asked. As Kai walked through the door, a loud bang was heard. The bang was caused when the ANBU chief slammed his palm against his table. "You idiot you're late!!!!" the chief yelled out loudly. "(Here he goes again....)" Inotsu thought to himself. "Umm, Chief, about my question-" Inotsu was interrupted by the chief. "{Sigh} Fine, I'll deal with the other three later...." the chief said.

"Alright now listen up closely. The Land of Fire Daimyo's son has been kidnapped." the chief said. "Kidnapped? How could this happen, the guards of the Daimyo's palace should've caught this happening." Inotsu responded. "Apparently they aren't cut out to be guards. The Daimyo's son was able to sneak out from the palace, and he was kidnapped." the chief responded. "Did the kidnappers say anything about ransom?" Inotsu asked. "No they didn't.... However, we found several clues that led us to where they're currently at."

"Then why don't they send a group to rescue the Daimyo's son?" Inotsu asked. "If they would send a group there now it would be of no use. These are skilled rogue ninjas and not to mention their group is about forty or fifty people strong. And that's why you guys are here. The Fire Daimyo specifically asked for Konoha's ANBU to rescue his son. He has two reasons for this, one is because you guys work well as a team and work secretively, and second, because of that secrecy, it will allow the Fire Daimyo to attend a Daimyo meeting without appearing careless and weak to the others. He doesn't want the Daimyo from the other lands to know of this, that's why he needed people like the ANBU to take care of this problem." the chief explained.

"So we have to be discreet on this mission? Why send so many people?" Inotsu asked. "Because, there's a rumor going on that this group that kidnapped the Daimyo's son is possibly linked to a larger group of powerful rogue ninjas whose members are said to once be the elites of the elites amongst ANBU. They reign from different villages and one of them once was an ANBU from Konoha. They might be located at the same location and that's why we need a lot of people on this mission if in fact the rumor is true...." the chief explained. "I see...." Inotsu responded. "(A group made up of elite ANBU members gone rogue? We'll have to be careful....)" Inotsu thought to himself.

"Are we going all together or will we be separated into teams?" Yukan asked, a bit nervously. He was nervous that he might screw up on the mission, which would bring up the "I don't belong here" thought he had a second ago. He was happy they got such an important mission. "We would be more secretive in teams I would think," Yukan added. [i]"This should be fun, I'm going to make an impression on this mission. Then I won't have to worry about belonging or not within this elite team."[/i] Yukan laughed in his head from his anxiety of starting the mission already.

[Mysterium Tremendum]

"I see" Kaemon responded after being told to report the ANBU Headquarters. He scratched his head before continuing. "Did he say why we're supposed to report? Because otherwise I think I'd rather skip out on this mission." Kaemon sighed, "But I'll go quickly to see what's going on so I can turn in my rejection personally. This was supposed to be my day off and I'm guessing from your hurrying that I'm the last one to get this message so I'll be late anyway." Kaemon quickly grabbed his usual black shroud and immediately started jumping across rooftops at his fastest speed. Although it was inevitable, he hated being late, many people berated him for doing so too much.

Kaemon arrived and walked in the door as quietly as possible to avoid questions about why he was late. He robotically stood in the back of room to avoid eye contact while the chief spoke about the mission and now Kaemon had to figure out what was happening.

-If the requesting of an elite ANBU black ops team was needed for this kind of mission who was Ookami to back down on such an assignment. Besides he was the one who rarely talked in any event whether he had a day off or was on a mission with his ANBU team. The only person he would talk to would be his older brother, and he was dead. Standing with his arms crossed he listened into on the briefing of the mission and what was going on. The complete and utter silence was what made him a valuable member of this particular ANBU team. However, hearing the words of former ANBU ninja who were now rogue seemed to make this mission all the more dangerous. It would be a tough go if anyone of them engaged in combat against a former ANBU agent. Not to mention if one was a former ANBU ninja for the Hidden Leaf Village.-

While the chief was talking, he didn't noticed that Kaemon had sneaked into the room. The chief usually becomes oblivious to his office door when he starts to explain a mission and so Kaemon was safe from the chief's bad temper. Inotsu, however, had noticed Kaemon sneaking in and decided to help him because he didn't know what the chief was talking about. Inotsu used his telepathy, a special ability of the Yamanaka clan to tell Kaemon the full details of what the chief had said. "(And that's about it Kaemon....)" Inotsu said to Kaemon using his telepathy.

"Yes Yukan, you'll be splitting up into smaller groups when you arrive at the location. The details are in this scroll." the chief said as he showed everybody the scroll. "Umm Chief, is Captain Uyataka leading this mission?" Inotsu asked curiously. Captain Uyataka was a man that everybody in ANBU including the ANBU chief himself respected. He was like a mentor to everybody in the ANBU Black Ops and was Inotsu's sensei during his days when Inotsu was still a Genin.

"Unfortunately no, Uyataka is on a mission investigating reports of some mysterious ninja who wears some kind of mask. I forgot what's the name people gave to that ninja. But yeah, he's not going to be leading this mission." the chief responded. "Umm, then who is?" Inotsu asked. "I haven't thought about it yet...." the chief said. "I see.... But a mission does require a leader who will lead the others in a way to complete the mission successfully. But Captain Uyataka is not here for that...." Inotsu said.

[Mysterium Tremendum]

Kaemon was startled to hear Inotsu's voice telpathically, but than again didn't complain as he explained the full mission details. He agreed in his mind to thank him later. The Daimyo's child kidnapped by rogue ninja who might have a connection to a larger organization, despite having his free day taken from him, Kaemon agreed with the logic.

When the Inotsu brought up who would be the leader for the mission and it was given that Uyataka was out on a mission, Kaemon brought his hand up in a stop gesture and waited for the chief to stop talking before speaking. "I would like to notion for Hayate lead this mission. Kaemon stood before the chief and waited for a response.

Kai although the first few times would be caught off by the cheifs anger expected the roar although the first few timeshe would yell back at the cheif the ANBU had taught him to be slightly disciplined. kai briought up a cracking fake smile and replied. "So-Sorry cheif...it won't happen again...ha...ha" gaining no sympathy from the chief kai squated on his tippy toes and rested his elbows on his legs, as he was about to ask why they needed so many ANBU members, his question was already answered by Inotsu. "Hmph, a few ninja shouldn't be that much trouble, should they?" Kai thought to himself as he began planning the outcome in his head, he smiled at the thought> kai being his abrupt self responded to the leader idea. "Chief!" Kai called out. "You we need a leader whose forceful and can get results," Kai stood up and clenched his fists. "I'll take that role!" kai was seiously arrogant which was shown through this action, there was no chance he was going to be leader, his much to angered easily and cant keep a cool head.

-It wasn't so much as to how the mission would go, but who would be the leader of the mission. Mainly the man in charge to give off orders. With one of the ANBU that many of them respected off on a mission for a mysterious ninja in a mask it was no wonder that some would nominate others to lead on the mission. However, the mission would require the one individual who knew how to perceive certain ideas and objectives. Ookami was no leader, but sometimes found himself second-in-command because of his overall use with the byakugan. If that was the case he became second-in-command of this mission; boy was Ookami okay by that.-

[i]I would say Inotsu to lead the mission, but what would the others think on that?[/i]

-Letting out a sigh he kept his silence in check as the others continued on speaking. Everything was taken into account of what would happen and how it would happen? Ookami knew that without his byakugan that they would be able to get into the most of this mission. That could be the possibility of their other successes in missions together. Even if it was that; Ookami always remained positive and waited for whenever something was needed of him to act.-

The chief was becoming impatient and finaly Inotsu talked the chief into giving the details of why we where all here and then our mission. It was explained that the Daimyo's son had been kidnapped and that their also was a possibility of their being rouge Anbu members also in the vacinity as the ones who made the kidnapping. Then Inotsu had brought up the question about a leader in which the Chief was quick to announce that Uyataka-sensai would not be able to lead the mission as he was preoccupied by another mission. Inotsu also announced that their was a need for a Leader and asked the chief as to who he had planned to be it. The chief again ansered rather quickly that he hadn't thought about it.

Hayate was just about to step forward and give his notion as to who he though the leader should be when someone had stepped up before him. "I would like to notion for Hayate lead this mission," Kaemon said awaiting from a responce from the Chief. Before the Chief spoke a second stepped up, this time Kai stood beside Kaemon and announced he should become the leader. Again before the Chief or any one else stepped forward Hayate now stepped forward placing his hands on both Kaemons and Kai's shoulder, "Chief I'm sure Kai would be greatful if he recieved the Leader position as I would be honored and gladly accept the position if I was chosen, but their is only one person here I can think of who should be the team leader." Hayate glanced over towards Inotsu and nodded then turning back to the chief, "I make the notion that Inotsu should be the leader, he is the only one who has been personally trained by Uyataka-sensai since he was a Genin." Hayate then stepped in front of the two beside him.

"I could lead the team but Inotsu seems the better person for the job, not to mention I serve better in an assassin position or a strategic advantage position. Though it truely depends on who and how you place the teams Chief." Hayate stepped back again this time he bowed before moving from his current position.

Kai shrugged, trying to maintaiun his fake smile a drop of sweat dripped from his forehead as he grinded his teeth, the anger was seeding from his body, Kai replied while grinding his teeth and putting on his fake smile, "Oh...well In-Inotsu sounds like...a good....suggesti-" he then interrupted himself with anger as he stepped forward in an uproar and pointed at Inotsu. "Why Inotsu! I've been with the ANBU almost as long as Inotsu, maybe we should decide it in a fight?!" Kai was serious about this however he knew how he stood when compared to Inotsu he was much to inferior to beat him, although his over confidence leads him to believe he can. Kai panted as he awaited the response of others, although the answer would reject his suggestion in which case he would submit to the nomination of Inotsu

Inotsu noticed that Kaemon had notioned for Hayate to be the leader. "(Hayate huh? That sounds like a good idea actually since he's good with strategies.)" Inotsu thought to himself. Then Inotsu heard Kai notioning himself for leader. A smile formed on Inotsu's face when that happened. "(Boy, Kai surely didn't waste any time with that. Maybe the team does need an enthusiastic leader like him.)" Inotsu pondered the idea. "NO WAYYYY!!!! Kai, you're not fit to lead this mission you idiot, your ability is more useful for confusing the enemies and giving the group a battle advantage then being leader. And for Hayate, he seems to be a good fit for the leader role." the chief said.

Inotsu was surprised however when Hayate notioned for Inotsu to be the leader. "M-Me leader?" Inotsu said hesitantly. "(I never led a mission before.... Uyataka has always been our leader....) I-" Before Inotsu could say anything, the chief interrupted. "I've decided. Here is how things will go, Inotsu, you will be the leader when the unit is together. Once you get there and when you split into two smaller teams, the leaders of the teams will be Inotsu and Hayate. Any problems with how I set things up?" the chief asked.

After hearing Kai's idea of a fight, the chief stood up from his chair. "WHAT DID I SAY KAI???!!! YOU'RE NOT FIT FOR LEADER, NOW SIT DOWN BEFORE I TAKE YOU OFF THIS MISSION AND LET YOU CLEAN MY RESTROOM!!!" the chief's voice emanated loudly. "(Whoa.... The chief sure is something....)" Inotsu thought.

-Ookami was never one for arguing in this sort of ideal. There was at times that the teams would have their disputes amongst other things, but they always worked well together. Each having a special ability that benefited them as a whole while on the mission. Because Ookami was such good friends with Inotsu; he would only suspect that he would choose him (Ookami) as the second-in-command of the mission or for that matter wind up on the smaller team with Inotsu. However, one put it they each held a close bond that guided them along in the mission.-

[i]Glad that is over before I fight broke out.[/i] -Ookami thought amongst himself.-

-Keeping his silence seemed the best possible choice? Hardly anyone asked for his opinion in certain matters. Many believed he was just simply there because of his usage with the byakugan. But everyone knew that was not true and that Ookami's ability there was more important than anything else.-

[Mysterium Tremendum]

Kaemon looked at Hayate as soon as he put his hand on Kaemon's shoulder. When the chance to speak next arose, Kaemon answered, "Inotsu is a solid choice at first glance, but I was able to get a hand on both yours and Inotsu's track records a few days ago while I was doing some research." Kaemon paused for a moment, "I thought your record sparkled a little more than Inotsu's even though Inotsu's was very impressive. With all respect due to Inotsu, I think Hayate has a more solid leadership file and his abilities are well suited to this mission since we'll most likely be in a confined place."

Kaemon looked at the ANBU chief straight in the eye before he continued, "It is your choice on the leader chief, I'm fine with following either Inotsu and Hayate but this is my reccommendation from my own observations unless I misread something concerning their files that are on record in the Shinobi Files and it seems that Hayate would rather take another position." Kaemon stopped speaking.

Kai was startled slightly by the cheifs comment. Kai bowed his head slightly and took a step back as he replied. "Y-yes chief..." Kai had a quick glance at Inotsu a hatred frown surfacing to his face as he then faced the chief with his normal expression. "Now i have to work under Inotsu and hayate, why wouldn't allow me as a leader?! I work hard every single day!" kai began remembering his training of sitting under the heavy water fall and the ab work over a cliff and the 1 finger chin ups. Kai then returned to reality as he noticed his fists were shaking as he continued to clenched them. he quickly realised his effort and thought for a moment, "could it be my anger....no! It can't be if anything that helps me in the running the chief sees my motivation, that's got to be it, but still It'd be dumb to argue," Kai ended his thoughts as he folded his arms.
