Dark Sea Serpents

These are all mostly high level Dark Sea Serpents who get their effects by getting destroyed by card effects. Some of these cards also work with all Sea Serpents and lend more support to Sea Serpents as a whole. Currently named after creatures from the Cthulhu Mythos, I will probably end up changing their names to something original.



I'm sure there are plenty of texts worded wrong when it comes to official wording, but I'll mess with that later. what I have is enough to fully get the jist of the cards.


I'm really not sure how to word the second sentence of this card. it means what it says, but there has to be a better way to word it.
Chaotic City R'lyeh
Spell Field
Dark Sea Serpent monsters require one less tribute to be summoned. Each time a player destroys a monster by battle their opponent selects a monster on their opponents side of the field and destroy it. When this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, destroy all monsters on your side of the field.

Cthulhu
Sea Serpent/Dark/7star/effect

You can special summon this card from your hand by destroying 2 Dark Sea Serpent monsters on your side of the field. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of Chaotic City R'lyeh. Once per turn, you can destroy all monsters on your side of the field except this card. For every card destroyed by this effect, you can destroy the same amount of cards on your opponents side of the field.

Father Dagon

If this card is destroyed by a card effect your opponent randomly sends 1 card from their hand to the graveyard.

Mother Hydra

If this card is destroyed by a card effect you can special summon this card from the graveyard at the end phase.

Ghatanothoa
Sea Serpent/Dark/4star/Effect

If this card is destroyed by a card effect your opponent cannot activate any trap cards until their next standby phase.

Zoth-Ommog
Sea Serpent/Dark/3star/Effect
1700/1000
When this card is destroyed by a card effect you can remove 1 card in your opponent's graveyard from play.

Hastur
Sea Serpent/Dark/3star/Effect

When a Sea Serpent type monster you control is destroyed by a card effect, you can special summon this card from your hand.

Cthugha
Sea Serpent/Dark/5star/Effect

If this card is in the graveyard and was destroyed by a card effect all face up sea serpents on your side of the field gain 300 attack. You can remove this card from your graveyard to Normal Summon 1 level 5 or 6 Sea Serpent monster from your hand without a tribute this turn.

Ithaqua

Once per turn during your main phase you can destroy 1 monster you control to have this card attack twice.

Azathoth
Sea Serpent/Dark/10star/Synchro/Effect

1 tuner + one or more Dark Sea Serpent monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned remove all monsters in your graveyard from play. When this card would be destroyed by a card effect you can special summon 1 of your removed from play sea serpent monsters and that card would be destroyed instead.

If "Lloigor" is face up on your side of the field you can special summon this card from your graveyard. If this card is destroyed by a card effect you can add 1 level 4 or lower Sea Serpent monster from your deck to your hand.

Lloigor

If "Zhar" is face up on your side of the field you can special summon this card from your hand. If this card is destroyed by battle you can destroy one monster you control to add one level 4 or lower sea serpent monster from your graveyard to you hand except Lloigor.


Occultist

You can remove from play 1 Sea Serpent monster from your graveyard to special summon this card from your graveyard. This card cannot be used for a tribute or synchro summon except for that of a dark sea serpent monster.


Occult Leader
Spellcaster/Dark/4star/effect

You can discard this card to add 1 "Chaotic City R'lyeh" or "Cthulhu" from your deck to your hand.

Deep Swell

You can destroy 1 Sea Serpent type monster you control to destroy 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. You can then add 1 Sea Serpent type monster from your graveyard to your hand who's level is higher than the monster you controlled that was destroyed by this card's effect

Deep Swarm

You can special summon level 4 or lower sea serpent monsters from your graveyard equal to the amount of face-up monsters your opponent controls. Their effects are negated and they are destroyed at the end phase.

I like the fact that your Field Spell causes you to benefit from an effect which would otherwise hinder a player. However, considering it would work on your opponent's monsters too makes it a bit too overpowered, I think.

Ithaqua - This is the first card I have a problem with. Its effect is a bit too powerful, and could wreck games.

Azathoth - The effects in total are pretty powerful, but the final effect is just too devastating. Instant deckout pretty much.

Zhar and his counterpart might be overpowered, but I'm not sure yet...

Alaozar - Overpowered. Plain and simple. Effect is too easy to set off, and if you have multiples of him on the field this is especially devastating.

Deep Swarm - Eehhh... Well, I think it's overpowered, but then again it would be pretty difficult to do. Still, giant beatsticks...
