The calm waves of the ocean were interrupted byt eh moving ship that sailed slowly towards an island not to far in the distance, there were lost of students looking over the railings at the front of the ship, they were in awe of the island that5 awaited them as they would begin their new journey through Duelist academy, What will they learn from duel academy, what friendships and rivalries will spawn? The students are all wearing their dorm colours except for some who apepar to not be wearing a dorm colour (Chaos black students). The first years would soon entre Duel Academy!!!

Meanwhile the 2nd and third year students all prepared to look their best as they made their way to the path that would guide the new sudents to the main stairs, the students began lining up on the sides of the patths awaiting the ships arrival.

On top of the stairs stood 5 teachers including the channcelor who stood witht he 4 teachers behind him. Chansellor shephard smiled as he saw the boat in the distance.

"So a new year begins..." He thought to himself.

Noticably one of the teachers was wearing a black jacket.

"Anyone know wear the representing 4 students are??" (I will pm the other 3) Chancellor shaphard questioned.
"They should be on their way." Said the sinister voice of Proffesor Chronix. "I expect they will be here soon."
Shaphard smiled. "Good!"

Meanwhile A student wearing a long blue obelisk blue jacket began walking from the obelisk dorm towards the front back of the building where the teacehers stood in front of. His arogant facial expression depicted confidence as he walked proud towards the building. His jacket was sharp on the bottom and didnt seem to blow in the wind. His white and black hair however move in the wind.

"My second year...And arrivals of the first." the boiy made his way behind the teachers thens tood in front of the obelisk bleu teacher with his arms folded. "Ah Kai!" Shephard exclaimed. "welcome!"

"Kai bowed slightly and folded his arms again looking at the distant ship.

One of the four-teachers behind the Chancellor, stood tall at about six-feet. His amber-eyes stood out from the four other teachers and his face was beaming with a bright smile. "So Chancellor? The Ra Yellow Dorm getting any new First years?" Professor Lamfada, the enigmatic twenty-nine year-old teacher spoke, aiming his sentence at the chancellor. Standing tall in a cloak-decorated in the same colors of the Ra Yellow Dorm, with a Sun-like emblem beaming from the neck down, he was hiding a shiny-metal like protrusion where his shoulder should have been. It was a mechanical arm. Lamfada had looked as if he was crossing his arms underneath the cloak while he then waited for an answer from the Chancellor. He also kept a sharp eye out into the crowd.

Morgan was on the outside of the teaching staff, waiting for the arrival of the new students. Truthfully, she was a little excited herself, even though she was a teacher, had been there for a few years, and had even been a student in the school herself. Still, she liked meeting new students, who were just beginning to be develop and reach their potential, and there seemed to be a few interesting stories amongst the new students in her own dorm. On the subject of her dorm, an older student, Kai trial, who was acting as representative, arrived. "Good morning Kai," she greeted him, "and how are you today?"

Jake got off the boat rushing. "Oh man oh man! I hope I'm not late!!!" Jake then bumped into a particularly large student wearing a Ra-Yellow Jacket. "Whoa man where's the fire punk?" "uh no where dude I'm just rushing to my first class." "Oh you a first-year?" "yeah...you?" "Heck no I AM A SECOND YEAR. meaning I have the right to mess with you." "Whoa first of all being in a higher rank does not give you any right to mess with me second of all even if it did I never did ANYTHING to you. third of all do you think I'm going to stand here and let me get messed with? NO. one last thing I want to know your name mine is Jake Vaati." "Humph. My name is Carlos (chuck) Wayne." "What dorm are you in? I like your spunk." "wow that's a serious change of attitude all of a sudden you call me a punk now you like my spunk...OH GOD CHEESY RHYME." "Heh well no one has ever stood up to me before so what's your dorm?" "...Slifer Red." "SLIFER RED? a Slifer Scumbag?" "hm you must be a newbie. at duel monsters eh?" "No not at all my I ranked super high on the entrance exam It's just I couldn't afford Obelisk Blue's fee. plus I wanted to work my way up and GAIN respect." "What type of deck do you use?" "Warrior and It's custom made that's all I'm telling you." "Ha alright alright hey listen I'll see you around." "yeah...I guess so." Jake and Chuck both went their separate ways.

As the rest of the students gathered near the front of the boat as they neared Academy Island, Aiya remained nearer the back, away from the crowd pushing to get a better look. Unlike the rest of the students, Aiya wasn’t really excited to be here and to be honest, the whole thing made her nervous. She’d never lived away from her parents before and on an island in the middle of the ocean she wasn’t entirely sure she’d be comfortable away from them, not the mention that this was reputedly the best duelling academy around and no doubt the students and teachers here would reflect that, and given Aiya’s incredibly low self-esteem when it came to her duelling skills, it was not a thought that made her any more comfortable.

She stole a glance over the side of the boat and saw the island coming up in the distance, a large gathering of senior students and staff awaiting their arrival. Aiya felt her stomach drop at the sight of them felt the sudden desire to blend into the crowd so as not to be seen. She drew her head in again, leaning against the wall of the boat as it sidled into the dock. Absently, she reached into a case on the back of her belt and pulled out a deck of cards, holding them tightly in both hands.
[i]Well, I’m here now,[/i] she thought [i]I may as well try and make the most of it.[/i]
She replaced her deck back in its case and followed the rest of the students lining up to disembark, finding herself unwilling to look up.

Drake woke with a start looking around noticing that the boat was docked and he was practically the last student on the boat. He got up and dusted himself off, put his hands behind his head and began to walk off the boat whistling a lively show-tune. "Pretty nice day," Drake said to himself thinking back to the boat ride. [i]There are some pretty immature duelists that just got here[/i] he thought, [i]hopefully there will be some pretty good ones on this island.[/i] His bright red hair was a mess from the nap he just woke up from his red blazer matching his red jeans with the black crown marks on the ends. He looked around examining the his surroundings nothing caught his attention except someone staring at him he decided not to pay it any attention and kept walking towards where his PDA had appointed his living area. He found the low quality dorm where he would be staying for his first of four years at the academy. He found his room and walked in, three bunk beds stacked on top of each other and seeing the room it was clear that no one had been living there until now. Since he was there first he claimed the bottom bunk as his own and went straight ignoring the fact his PDA said he had a class now.

After Jake departed from the "Minuscule Clash" with the Ra Yellow student he began to wonder. "What's my first period? wait shoot what's my Schedule anyways?!" Jake then looked for another first-year such as himself. "Hm I need to find another first-year Slifer Red...ah!" Jake then laid his eyes on an apparently timid girl shying away toward the back of the newest batch of kids." "Excuse me miss? Are you a Silfer-Red? and If so do you know the schedule? I uh lost mine."

"Heh I like that kid" said Chuck. he seems pretty spunky plus I sense...a great duelist in him. he also uses warriors so that's a plus!"

*KNOCK KNOCK* Drake heard some knocking on the door, he hopped out of bed and put on his blazer.
"Who's there," called Drake from inside.
"Hall monitor," a female voice called back.
"Well I don't have any clothes on," Drake lied while he began smile to himself.
"Oh no worries I was just here to see if there was anyone left straggling you need to make you're way towards the academy main entrance" she said. "Whatever," he said to himself and payed no attention to her warning."Time to get to work," he stated bringing out one of his suit cases that made it during the day with the rest of his luggage. He opened the case revealing his sixty odd number of cards and began getting to work on trimming it down to forty cards and then an Extra Deck. The deck he felt had been the best he had ever assembled. He left his dorm to be spotted by a maintence man.
"HEY YOU," said a maintenance man, "Your supposed to be with the other students." The man took Drake towards a group of students walking down so big stairs. "He's a straggler," said the man to some teacher. Soon Drake joined the other students and wondered what was going on.

Kai was caught off guard for a second but knew his place as he should hve greeted his dorm headmaster upon arriving. Kai turned and bowed sliughtly. "Apologies Morgan," Kai stood straight with a light smirk. "Im well thankyou and how r u?" Kai urned to the ship that was arriving. "I'm interested more as to who the new students are, and who will be chosen in this exhibition duel, rumours have been going around itll be 2 of the new students included. A tag duel?" Kai wondered for a second. "And if i'm chosen? There is no chance i can allow a loss" Kai turned to afce the ship again and folded his arms his confident frown surfacing on his face.

"Ah! The ship's arriving right!" Councellor shephard turned to the other teachers. "Lets give it our all for our students. And as promised proffessor Chronix in order to allow the Chaos Black dorm to thrive we'll allow you choice of 1st year students."

"Thankyou Shaphard." Chronix stated. He then turned to kai and grinned lightly.

Kai with a disgusted expression turned away. the truth is he hated the chaos Blac dforma nd all in it. He felt they wreck the honour of the once only 3 dorms.

[Kingdom Xathers]

Alexander Abernathy adjusted his blazer, a joyous shine visible in his emerald-colored eyes. Compared to the other teachers around him, he was noticeably short in stature, being roughly 5' 3" tall. However, it wasn't his height that maked him stand out, but rather his species; Alexander Abernathy is a Lombax, a furry, feline-like alien species originating from another dimension.

"This is actually rather exciting," he admitted out loud to the other teachers, his tufted tail wagging to and fro. He avoided eye contact with the Chaos Black teacher, feeling that Professor Chronix was not someone that he wanted to sit down and have a cup of tea with. Regardless, Alexander was willing to tolerate him.

Sebastian worked his way out of the boat on his Blue Obelisk uniform. [i]Can’t believe I was accepted as an Obelisk student in my first year![/i] He glanced onto the side and saw a couple of the students rushing someplace. “I wonder if classes have started?” He shrugged it off momentarily and marched his way up to the Academy.

“Wow!” He exclaimed as he saw the stature of the building in amazement. “It’s bigger than I imagined!” Then he noticed some of the other Obelisk students making their way up the building. He followed them towards the building. He snuck into an empty dorm (by luck) and saw that no one had claimed the dorm. Everything was neat and fancy. Bleach white beds that glowed in the radiating sun from the windows, hand polished furniture and several other decorations that sparkled with the light. He made his way into the bed and took a seat before falling in his back on the comfortable cloud of a mattress. “Ah…If I’m going to stay here I’m gonna have to work my butt off.” He said with a smile. “Hmm…I wonder if I’m going to have a roommate?” He took out his Deck and glanced at it. “Well, I’m here. Time to give it all I’ve got!” He glanced at the fancy clock and saw that it was 9:05. Then he remembered the paper in his pocket and saw his class schedual. “(gulp)…my class starts at…9…” he looked back at the clock, “…10…” He opened his luggage, took out his deck, his duel disk, a small notebook and a pencil and pen, rushing to class like there was no tomorrow.

Dez was almost the last one off the ship. He sighed. [i]Man this sucks. I go through all the trouble to get out here and it ain't near what I was hoping it would be[/i] He got off the boat I went to his dorm, despite students going other directions. [i]Bet it's some sort of intro. Boring[/i] But alas, he had to go. He headed to set of stairs where everyone had gathered. [i]Crap, It is introductions, I don't want to do this[/i] He was in thoughts of rage. The crowd was quieting down. [i]Well maybe NOW something will happen[/i]

The boat pulled into the docks and the students began to disembark, excited chatter seeming the only noise as they piled out onto the docks and stared up at the students and teachers that where ready to welcome them. Aiya hopped off the boat and onto the docks, still at the back of the crowd and unable to see past the vast sea of heads in front of her. She bit her lip nervously and tried to get a better look over the crowd, standing on tip-toe with no difference. She almost jumped when another boy walked up to her, asking her if she knew where they were supposed to be. She looked around, seeing the boy wore a red blazer the same as hers.
[b]“Err…”[/b] she faltered [b]“Sorry, but I have no idea. I assumed we just wait here or something.”[/b]
She looked back over the sea of heads again, noticing a teacher in a black jacket; causing her to wonder what dorm he belonged to since as far as she knew, there were only 3 dorms each with an assigned colour. Another glance around told her that some of the students weren’t wearing their uniforms, which was strange as most others had eagerly changed into theirs before arrival.
[i]Why do I have such a bad feeling about this?[/i] She thought glumly.
She turned to the Slifer boy that had just addressed her, pointing to the man in the black coat.
[b]“Um, do you know who he is at all?”[/b] She asked [b]“I don’t remember there being a black dorm here.”[/b]

As Sebastian made his way to class, he noticed something odd. [i]These students...I don't see any from the boat.[/i] Then he turned to hear a couple of girls in their mummbled converstation.

Girl 1: Did you hear that? The new students have arrived! I wonder if there will be anyone who get’s lost on their first day!
Girl 2: Hah! Wouldn’t that be a laugh! But wait, aren’t they still in the docks?
Girl 1: Yeah. That’s why classes haven’t started yet. Some of the teachers are still over on the stairs trying to see how things go and I believe some are really anxious to see the new students.
Sebastian blushed. He walked calmly back the way he came from, and made his way back to the docks. [i]Better go there directly. Even if I do look like a fool[/i] (Sigh). He made his way to the dock quickly and found that there were still students there. He recognized them as students from the boat. (Phew) [i] Looks like things might not go so bad afterall. [/i]

[Time Psyduck]

"I'm fine, thank you," Morgan replied, "It's good to know you're so enthusiastic about getting to know the new students, and I'm sure if you're in the exhibition match then you'll do the blue dorm proud." Even if the blue dorm was supposedly the best, that didn't stop good duelists ending up in lower dorms for financial reasons, or examination pressure, and besides even she wasn't entirely sure where this new black dorm fitted into the scheme. The students were now disembarking from the boat and gathering ready for the introduction, and she semi-consciously straightened up slightly. She took a sideways glance at the head of the new black dorm. It seemed odd to her, installing a new dorm, although she figured it was just because three what she was used to and four wasn't.

Kai watched as more and more students began arriving in the area surrounded on the path by the 2nd and 3rd years, Kai noticed the 3 other reps with him, Mason, Carlos Wayne, and Kibuto. Kai folded his arms, he saw the excitment in the chancellors face. "All this for some new students. Hmph. I guess I was the same way." Kai had a suspicion of the exhibition duel, and he also had a feeling he was in it, why? Because he was in the previous one, when it was his first year, although he was already an obelisk blue at the time he it was his first duel at the acadmey, he did manage to win in a tough duel however and was respected through the channeclor for it.

"Black dorm black dorm...hm no actually I don't recall that at all...hm there's something I'm wondering about though...if the Slifer Red's is named after Osiris the Sky dragon(slifer's real name), Obelisk blue is named after Obelisk the Tormentor and Ra Yellow is named after the Winged dragon of Ra...what's the black dorm named after?" Jake thought to himself [i]This black dorm who could it be? the only person I recall wearing a black blazer here is Chazz princeton...and heh he's long gone from here.[/i]" Jake had an epiphany. "Hey um girl if you don't mind tell me your name one I wanna be friends with you and two I want to talk to this guy come on" Jake approached the boy in the black blazer

Sebastian felt a little awkward having his duel disk out of the blue (literally). For some strange reason however, he felt as if something was telling him there was gonna be a duel soon. He didn’t worry about that small tension in the air but he kept the thought in the back of his head. He couldn’t be too sure about it anyway. All of the first years were strange. There were Slypher Reds, Ra Yellows and Obelisk Blues. [i]Even though I’m Blue myself, I thought we all had to start red and work ur way up…[/i] Then he thought back to what his parents did for him. [i]Well, if the position was done financially it would explain how I got here as a blue…but still. I guess I’ll have to show them what I got...After this is over.[/i]

Drake was disappointed to find out he wasn't a representative for the first years, "Oh well." He eyed the boy from Obelisk blue someone said his name was Kai, and he was a well respected duelist at the academy. "I guess I'll have to challenge someone like him if I want respect around here," he thought aloud. The Chancellor began talking and wouldn't stay quite for a while, but Drake was used to being able to tune out authority figures by now. [i]Wonder when the duel thing will start he said,[/i] he thought but to no avail the duel wouldn't start until the Chancellor stopped talking and he doubted that would happen anytime soon.

Ooc: there are no 1st year reps, only 2nd and thirds 2 seconds and 2 thirds i think all from different dorms

Kai glared at the boy that was brought their, Kai had his arms folded attemting to radiate his confidence. "What's this kid's deal, had to be brought here. I guess I'll have to show him the standard of duel academy." Kai smirked slightly and continued to eye of the bo, sonon to be understood as Drake, "a first year slacker looking down on me a 2nd year obelisk blue. Pitiful." Proffessor Chronix watched the two boys eye each other off.

"What's this?" professor chronix thought to himself. "An open window perhaprs?" Chronix grinned an evil grin. "I will have you in Chaos Black Kai, and that boy is gonna help me do it." professor chronix then looked at Drake briefly.

"Welcome everyone!" Roared the chancellor. "To duel academy! Here you will face arduous trials, both physically and mentally! Believe You can succeed here and you will succeed! Don't worry about the rankings of a dorm, the only limitation you have is your own willingnes to do your best! Study hard and learn quick! Here we have the 4 dorm teachers + 4 representative students! They are all here to welcome you, of course if you need help with somehting feel free to ask all the other students as well. My offic is open 24 hours a day also, today you will not be attending class but rather shown around duel academy, which leads me to-"

"Excuse me shaphard" Interuppted proffessor Chronix.

"Oh uh, npo problem, how could i forget."


Chronix then took the stage and grinned he looked like he had something big to say.

[b]“Oh, I see,”[/b] Aiya replied [b]“Guess it must be new this year then.”[/b]
She took another glance at the teacher in the black coat, frowning slightly. She couldn’t quite place her finger on it, but he gave her a very uneasy feeling. She shrugged it off, thinking it was just nerves.
She was preoccupied in thought and almost jumped when she realized the boy had addressed her again, this time asking for her name.
[b]“Eh? Oh…It’s…Aiya,”[/b] she replied, somewhat embarrassed by his forward nature.
[i]Well, if we’re in the same dorm then I guess we should get to know each other,[/i] she thought.
No sooner had she thought this than the chancellor began his speech to the freshmen and she stood on tip-toe once again to try and get a better look at him. He sounded friendly enough at least. However before he could finish, the teacher in the black coat interrupted him, stepping forwards as though to deliver a speech of his own. Aiya bit her lip, wondering exactly what he had to say and if it explained the uniform-less students dotted about the crowd.

Alexander blinked in confusion when Chronix interrupted the Chancellor. [i][b]"What in the world is he up to?"[/b][/i], he thought to himself, his long, striped ears lowering a bit. Mr. Abernathy turned to his right to address Morgan Brook, the Obelisk Blue Teacher. "Miss Brook, do you have any idea as to what Mr. Nero's going to announce?" he asked her in a hushed tone. He knew, however, that everyone was going to find out very soon. Even so, Alexander couldn't help but to feel... uneasy.

[Time Psyduck]

"No idea," Morgan whispered back, leaning slightly to the side but still looking forwards. Her mouth didn't move much either, to the point where a casual glance might suggest she was just leaning in to hear the other teach now speaking to her. "But we'll find out in a moment. It's odd though - even when I was a student I can't remember a teacher interrupting the Chancellor during an important announcement, so it must be big." Her eyes shifted once again to the black dorm's head. His mere presence seemed to have caused at least a small amount of confusion amongst the first-year students, over the existence of the previously unknown dorm.

"Ah well Aiya I'll be seeing you...Shazam!" Jake then threw down a smoke pellet...only to be seen tiptoeing away 5 feet away. Jake was wondering "Hm the Chancellor is basically the Superintendent and/or Principal...what would compel this...other teacher to interrupt him...I'm sensing something big."

Chuck was Observing the Speech wondering the same thing as Jake...only a bit more...dimmed down. "Whoa man Chancellor Shepard is like the big shot around here I don't think any teacher is gonna Interrupt him like that...you know?" Chuck was apparently talking to himself... "I'm not talking to myself..."(4th walled!)

Dez noticed a fairly large Ra yellow student talking to himself. [i]great, some sort of weirdo, but still, Chancellor I thought was the big man on campus. Maybe something interesting is going to happen after all[/i] he thought to himself. He kept to himself in his thoughts. [i] Who is that guy anyway, maybe I should ask that large dude, see seems to know something[/i] Dez approached the Ra Yellow student who was talking to himself and whispered. "A big guy, in the yellow" he asked "Any idea who that guy is, I thought Chancellor was the big shot around here" Since Dez didn't read the brochure about Duel Academy he could be wrong, but it didn't hurt to ask someone.
