Give me the reason for reps.

Okay, so it's annoying when you suddenly get 5 reps, but you don't know why. You know of the "Pandora's Box"? Sorta like that. It annoys our curiosity, and I'm too lazy to check every single post to see why.

Coming from this reason, yeah, I can just suggest deleting the whole rep system as well, but I think many contest manias would just get angry at it. Since I'm not [i]that[/i] mean, and I used to be one myself, I simply want to get the reasons for the reps.

Pointless, yes. So if you're a passing mod and you think this is just too idiotic, you can just lock it please.
