X-Saber Discussion

Recommended Posts

I've dueled against many X-Saber decks and I fail to see how they're broken. They seem to me to just be a highly consistent deck with efficient tutoring. Is that what's broken? Emmersblade and Darksoul? Is Faultroll too much?

Tell me what needs to hit the banlist in X-Sabers. I truly don't see the problem with them.

I haven't actually dueled against more than 1 X-Saber deck in my dueling career, and it was an underwhelming experience. However, that was before some of the major support came out. I would be interested in seeing the reasoning other people have as well, as it's happened many times that my perceptions change of cards after getting to see them in full action.

It's because most Saber players are sacks.

Sacks = +'s

+'s = Win

Also.

Fun Fact:

All XX-Saber monsters have Red Capes.
The X-Saber monsters do not.

Thats why Fulhelm and Boggart are op'd....
they go faster :P

lol Although all of the X-Saber Synchros have red capes :P

Faultroll gives free +1s and is an easily summonable and synchroable beatstick. Emmersblade is a ridiculously good searcher. Palomuro is a Tuner that summons itself. Boggart gives you more field advantage. Fulhelmknight gives a +1 when it kills something and is an easily searchable Tuner. Darksoul is a walking hand-fueler that has arguably caused the siding of cards like D.D. Crow. E-Call instantly summons you 2 Sabers from the Graveyard.

Sabers are full of archetype-specific broken cards, but at the end of the day, archetype-specific broken cards are fairly okay. Although Sabers are certainly a deck that produce fantastic synergy and flow really well, Cat's banning did slow them down a lot. They are still a threat, but they are not nearly as bad as they were.
