When i say we're looking for fresh concepts here are a few tips. 1: Either it's NEVER been thought of, Or its a Rare concept. i.e. Most Anime based RPs arent gonna be fresh. Unless theres a creative spin on it. 2: While i like to stress originality. If it's not fun it usually doesnt last. So while Originality is good. And personally what I prefer. More people are gonna go for Fun over Originality. 3: In this economy well thought out Apps, Storylines, Rules and Flow are Rare and GLORIOUS Commodities. So pull no punches and take your time making your RP. 4: While sometimes most people want to Avoid The Dreaded G-Rating if making it Darker And Edgier takes away from anything...then dont go for it....trust me i've seen it happen. 5: These tips are not universal. Becuase no matter how detailed it is, if you don't put your heart into it the rpg will never be as good as it should. Likewhise don't be afraid to have more radical and complicated characters. A two dimensional character, like a person soly out to kill everyone, is not as interesting as someone with a twisted reason or any other number of fantastical ways you can add onto it. Also lets not forget to remove the cliche woe-is-me hero/heroine who always seems to be crying over his or her own weakness. No one likes to see the good guy/girl always crying. The Indigo leather glove that clothed Verim's right hand started to glow faintly as a prim yet dry voice spoke within Verim's mind. Azuki retorted cruelly, hand clenched in afist, prepared to punch the idiot in the face. "I'm a King Azuki. Do you really think you can tell me what I know how to do and what I don't? At the click of a finger I can sentence you to death." The King said threatingly, hand held high, fingers in clicking position. "Father, you've lost your head. Send the god danm guards to get me, they won't even get close!" She sneered, turning away, purple hair swirling. "As you wish. You have brought about your own death." The King clicked his fingers, once, twice, thrice. A sound was heard, faitn at first, becomign louder and louder. The sound of stamping feet, of weapons being drawn, of voices crying for battle, of furniture being pushed aside and smahed. The great, wooden doors of the Grand Hall, where slammed open, to reveal a group of 100+ men, weapons raised, some even dripping with poison. Azuki waved them off dismisively. "Kill her." Commanded the King. The men obeyed instantly, sprinting foward, shouting battle cries. Some drew bows and fired flaming arrows. Azuki smirked. "Idiot!" Her eyes glowed with an evil red, flickered with speckles of yellow and orange. "PREPARE TO DIE!" She shrieked, turning towards the army, eyes glowing. Moments later all that ws left was the charred remains of a grand castle. Azuki grinned cruelly, and pulled a notepad from her pocket. She ticked something off. "One target down, 99 to go!" Shadow Zero Posted November 21, 2010 Report Share Posted November 21, 2010 See the trick there is to fill out this neat little App. Name: Shadow Zero Sample: Shadow walked to the edge of the precipice that was part of the mountain that he was standing upon. He had decided to take a journey through the world that he knew so little about, and so had traveled outside of the city where he had been so long. He was now returning to it with a new companion that he had made on his journeys and stood upon the mountain that was nearest to the city that he had left. He had finally returned to New Forum, and as he stared at the city that had only recently suffered a brief but violent battle between four faction both from within and from without, he pulled out a cylindrical device from which a screen extended out of the side. "Huh...well that's interesting. Seems that there are a few new places since I left. Want to go check them out Chaoseh?" As he spoke, Shadow turned to a Chao that looked more human then the others and was three times taller with bigger wings that were currently folded. Turning to look at Shadow, Chaoseh cocked his head to the side and shrugged which meant 'well, if we must'. Grinning, Shadow jumped off of the precipice and landed on the steep slope, sliding down the mountain from where he was and looking forward to new things since his previous departure. You: I rp, I duel, I created a few rp's in my time and they all died, and almost all of the rp's I joined died, either because they were too original or because they were not interesting enough or because they couldn't be followed, or because people just wouldn't post! Well for starters we'd have to tone down the abilities of the Bleach characters. Or give a slight amp to Naruto and One Peice. Next off as for how Plot goes im thinking something like what they did in Dissidia with a God of Chaos fusing the worlds and all that. What do you guys think? So lowering Bleach would be the easiest way to go. Also a mixing of the dimensions sounds plausable, but I want something a bit . . . more . . . [b]Name:[/b] Ketodama [b]Sample:[/b] [i]Quick Note:[/i] My RP sample is going to be done using one of my favorite created characters that I rarely get to use, but was referenced by Magna in an app that he filled out for my Gundam RP. Project SHADOW, an entity created from the essence of the Chaos Gods from Warhammer 40k. That being said, enjoy. [spoiler=The Actual Sample] A lone entity stood upon a barren wasteland, completely devoid of all life for what must have been thousands of miles. The land itself was simply a vast waste of sand, scorched by the intense light produced by three gleaming blue-white suns arranged in a triangle in the exact center of the sky. In some places, the sand had become so hot that rivers of molten glass ran through the wastes and powerful winds swept the searing heat of the sand into the air, producing vast dunes and even scorching the few rock outcrops that existed in the plain. The very presence of what appeared to be a normal human man standing atop the highest of the dunes for several hundred miles. The man was clad only in a simple white button-up shirt and a pair of plain brown dress pants, as well as a simple black leather belt around his waist. His hair was a dark shade of reddish brown and was currently being blown off to the right side of his head by the wind. His face was sharply angled, but not so much that a look of humanity would be lost...that is until one were to notice the fact that his eyes were consumed by a deep crimson glow that appeared similar to fire. His skin was only lightly tanned and, despite the incredible temperature of his current environment, completely unburnt. In some places glass was beginning to accumulate on the left side of his body, and he brushed it off with his right hand, only to soon have more accumulate upon him. He carried what looked to be the bone-white scabbard of a Katana in his right hand and, though one could not easily place it, there was something definitely unnatural about the scabbard itself. The man stood there, barefooted, atop the dune and remained so, even when a dark red line drew itself through the air behind him with a loud tearing sound. As the line stopped, it suddenly tore open, appearing to be a portal of some sort. From this portal, a figure wearing who stood only a little taller than the man currently present and wearing a suit of black plate armor emerged. What was odd about this figure was that it lacked flesh, it's head being only a human skull wreathed in orange flame. This new figure approached the man who was already present, stopping after a short while. "Shadow," the skeletal figure said in it's own hollow voice which mimicked the hissing of a snake, addressing the man who stood before him, "Your existence is about to come to an end." "You do not have the power to end me, Chaos, and you never will." The man, now obviously named Shadow, said as he turned to face the skeleton, drawing his Katana with his right hand and threading the scabbard through his belt as a demonic eye was revealed upon the blade itself. As Shadow did this, Chaos simply stretched out a hand and let loose an icy wind which, even upon this wasteland, froze the very ground into a solid mass. The skeletal figure laughed as he saw his prey nowhere to be seen, assuming him slain by the attack, and turned around to leave through the portal. However, a black and writhing substance soon flew through the air in several streams and surrounded him. The streams then suddenly constricted around him and flowed into him, before rushing outward with incredible force. The skeletal being let out a cry of sheer agony at this, and was brought to his knees as Shadow reformed from that black substance between Chaos and his portal. It seemed that Chaos was about to say something, as Shadow split him in half with the demonic Katana. Without another word, Shadow entered the portal and left the hellish landscape.[/spoiler] [b]You:[/b] Well, for starters I'm always thinking up new ideas for an RP, most of which are rarely put into use. Also, I know just about jack squat about Gundam, but I still make Gundam RPs that are usually rather successful. Finally, I do like Sonic RPs, they're just rarely done well. So therefore in the time of Naruto they would exist (in theory) And Pirates probably sailed the seas then. So if Shinigami and Pirates both existed during the time period in which naruto occurs....Yeah that'd work :3 As for lowering Bleach's power i say simple take away the power of Hollowfication. You might want to have some sort of fusion just happen out of nowhere with an as of yet unexplained force as it's cause and basically have those from the three universes end up duking it out whilst some as of yet unknown force works against all three of them, feeding off the conflict. This is gonna occur some time after the Naruto series ends. Madara Uchiha is dead and while in hell he runs into Sosuke Aizen. Aizen proposes a deal with Madara. The two of them work together to break out of hell. But as soon as they are free Madara turns on Aizen and absorbs his power. Creating "Madaizen The Infinite" (who's powers we can establish later.) Elsewhere Luffy has become Pirate King and goes by "Dragon" (after his father) Madaizen takes control of Soul Society and Hueco Mundo and prepares to move into the mortal world. However. A group of Soul Reaper rebels escapes in time to warn them of Madaizen's impending war. The players could choose to be a Ninja, One of Luffy's pirates or a Soul Reaper Rebel. Yay or Nay? I mean I went through a lot of apps to create the one I am going to use for SoP II . . . we could just use that. Though we could have to add in a "faction" part so we can tell who's side their one.
