Sweetie Belle
hey i dont know how to post a card can anyone tell me
Well, you say you don't know how to post a card? A pity. Posting a card is one of the simplest things to do here on YCM. Well, since you seem to not be capable of figuring it out yourself, I'll give you an elaborate, yet easy-to-understand tutorial on: How To Post a Card
Step 1: Create your card, then click Generate. The Generate Button should be right under the "Serial Number" area, as seen below.
Step 2: This step isn't actually required, but it's recommended that you save your card. To do this, click the Save button next to the Generate button. This will save your card so you can access your cards at a later point.
Step 2.b If you checked the "Save to Set" box, next to the Set ID area, your card will be saved in a separate "folder" as the other cards, categorized by the information in the first box of the Set ID area.
Step 3 This step is arguably the biggest step. Just so long as you figure this part out, you'll be fine the rest of the way. Surprisingly, people tend to not know this one step, as it seems difficult. CLICK ON YOUR CARD. Anywhere will do, just so long as you click THE CARD.
Step 4: This really isn't a step, but more of an intermediate. After you click on your card, a moving bar will appear below that has the words "Uploading to ImageShack" in it. It will stay there for a second or two.
Step 5: After the above step, the bar will be replaced by a text box with an ImageShack URL, enclosed in tags.
Step 5b: Click on the URL. It should highlight the entire thing for you. Press Ctrl+C to copy it to your Clipboard. (The Clipboard is an invisible program. It's the space where your computer saves things you copy temporarily. Only one thing will be on your clipboard at a time.) You can right-click and select "Copy" instead.
Step 6: Go to your thread, or a contest that you are in, or anywhere else you are permitted to post your card. In your post, press Ctrl+V, or right-click and select "Paste." The code will now appear in the post.
Step 7: Now all that's left to do is to select one of the following buttons, depending on how you are posting: If you're posting your card in your own Topic. This is the most common. If your posting a card in another topic using the Fast Reply function, at the bottom of a page. ONLY DO THIS IF IT'S A CONTEST OR THE TOPIC OWNER ALLOWS IT. If you're posting a card in another topic using the Full Editor function. ONLY DO THIS IF IT'S A CONTEST OR THE TOPIC OWNER ALLOWS IT.
Step 8: Voila! Your card is now posted in your topic.DO NOT: Use attachments Use the computer's "Copy Image Location" function The first one is not allowed on YCM, despite our capability of doing so. The second just doesn't work. Thank you for reading, and I hope you can put it to good use. +Reps are appreciated. ~SleepingKirby Link to comment

Sotos
Ok, got it. But I press them and nothing happens... What do I have to do? Link to comment
Sweetie Belle
It puts the Screenshot on the clipboard. Actually, I just tried, and you don't need Ctrl. Just Print Screen. It takes a screenshot and puts it on your clipboard. Next, when you hit Ctrl+V in an image compatible program like Paint or Powerpoint, it pastes the screenshot as an image. Link to comment

LiAM
Simple and informative tutorial but anyone with experience will know that tutorials last for a few days before disappearing and thus the cycle continues of newbies asking how to post a card without reading other topics. Valiant effort, and I'm gonna 'Like This' on your post. But I have no idea what the button actually does since YCM has changed about 50 times since I was last here. Also a side note to 'TheCompositor', you necrobumped a topic, and while yeah it's useful for these things to circulate, it's often not a good idea to bring up topics almost a year old.
