Yugioh 5d's Duel Transer

ALl right. There's a new 5d's game coming out for Wii called Yugioh 5d's Duel Transer. In it you get to duel the characters of 5d's season 1 and ones exclusive to the game. You can collect over 4,500 cards. That's as much ATK as a Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. There's also a Duel Scanner which can allow you to practically scan your entire collection of real cards, one at a time, into the game.

The only issue I'll have is will this game follow Traditional Format or Advanced format. Cause in advanced format they never let you play anything awesome like Monster Reborn or Cyber Jar or anything cool.

Another thing is will they use the VA's from Yugioh 5d's or not?

Anyway discuss if you'd like.

#1) A good traditional Deck can win the game in 1 turn at least 90% of games, probably much more. Any attempt to play traditional competitively would be very, very boring.

#2) Reborn isn't banned this format.

Anyway, I see no reason to get it over YVD, so I'll stick to that.

Ok you got me at Reborn. But I'm hoping this game has an option that allows you to switch between Advanced Format and Traditional Format. Also, I wonder if Carly (Normal) Will use her Fortune Fairies in a duel? One of her key cards will be Hikari. It's the weakest, but when comboed with Amulet of Ambition it can take out almost anything.

I'm pretty sure the game only has real cards.

PT, you do realize they will only let you scan 1 copy of 1 card.
.......
As you have to duel people over online in order to get more DP which would be used to buy pack, ergo, you could get another copy of the card.
(pack in game, by the way)

Also, everyone is going to be like: "OMG NUBS R USIN CARDS DEY DONT HAEV DIS GAEM IZ TERBLE!11!!1!"
.....Just sayin'

Well if they showed in Tag Force 4 they'll show in this game too. After all, 4,500 cards is a pretty hefty quota. Maybe they'll include the Egyptian Gods and Sacred Beasts too.

4500 is less than the amount the IRL game has.

What would happen if I decided to scan a pokemon or MTG card in the scanner? Do I get a...

Wait. Wait wait wait. Is the scanner only for duel terminal cards?

There was a list of sets that work on their site. Notably, TDGS and all promos will not respond.

bump: I got the game and I would like to talk about it:

Pros:
- Looks more thigh tech than it did in Tag Force, 2 and 3.
- You get cards based on real booster packs. (So you can get Exodia much faster if you're lucky).
- More detailed fields based on what field spell you play.
- Buy recipes to challenge different duelists.
- Play as both male and female player duelists.
- Mirror Force is playable (YAY!)
- Damage is dealt differently (Earth: Rocks and sand instead of energy blasts.)
- Duel almost every character from 5d's, including season 2.
- You get to use the playable version of (wait for it) ...
OBELISK THE TORMENTOR!
- You can use Forbidden Cards.

Cons:
- You only have two Cyber Dragons (WHY?! That'll mess up Cyber End Dragon).
- Cyber Jar not Playable (Boo!)
- You can only use one Forbidden Card.
- No duelist profiles.
- Some decks harder than others.
- The Exodia Finish movie is the same as Beginning of Destiny
- No Challenge Bonuses
- Last Turn not playable

Easiest deck to beat: Weakling
Toughest deck to beat: I'm on Niflheimr Floor 7. One more floor and I'll duel Lawton.

Plus: Carly is the probably the easiest Dark Signer to beat, At least compared to the others. But you need specific Earthbound Immortal Cards to duel the Dark Signers. But You'll need to lay some serious hurt in order to beat them.

One thing I don't get: When I dueled Grieger he Synchro Summoned a Dark Strike Fighter. But that card can't be playable cause it's Forbidden. Is that a glitch or does that mean this game follows Traditional Format?
Anyone else wanna talk?

Ok. Anothjer thing, I came across a Transender (They're the robots that are like Golems) who ran a deck containing three Pot of Greeds and three Graceful Charities. Does this mean you CAN use forbidden cards?

CPUs don't need to follow the banlist, their Decks are pre-made with whatever the developers felt like. The AI is generally pretty terrible, so giving them cards you can't use is one of the ways to make the game slightly challenging. If you could use those cards, the game would be far too easy.
