My friend made a hilarious "Goyo Deck" revolving around Immortal Bushi and Junk Synchron and stuff. He would grab hold of my monsters using Goyo, and reviving it using many ways. If that doesn't work, he would use

That reminds me. If you have 1 win, your opponent has 0 wins, and activate Self-Destruct Button, does that mean you win the match?

Nonononono. 1.5>0.5, but then again, your opponent can win the next round to get 1.5=1.5. Of course you can't lose once you get to 1 win and 1 draw in a match. Normal math.

I have a Injection Fairy Lily deck in WC 2009 that has one Final Countdown in it. Even though I activated Final Countdown, I'm still gonna attack your life points. Sometimes Final Countdown would go to zero before I even get the chance to make my opponent's drop to zero. It's like I'm racing my own Final Countdown.

My first yugimonz deck back in the day when I didn't care or even know about meta was a holy pile of random batman that somehow allowed me to win often and it contained Exodia, Destiny Board, and Final Countdown, as well as other random stuff.
Usually you want to stick to one main method of winning, usually swarm and OTK or something, if not, stop everything your opponent can do to stop you.

I just asked because in the official rules it says that a tie is "a win for both duelists", and technically if you won and got a tie you would have 2 wins. But I've never attended an official tournament, so I didn't know how they counted it.

On topic: As Fusion said, two win conditions can usually slow a deck down, which is where the whole "stick with one theme" thing comes from, and why little kids usually have a ton of trouble with their decks. They do too many things at once. The best thing to do is hold your second strategy in your deck in a way that it can still be viable without taking up too much space and/or time from your strategy.
