My New Drawing. xD

Skirts

Recommended Posts

I was on the plane coming back from Jamaica and started this drawing, and then I finished it today. It's a girl crying. Don't ask what the setting is about, because I don't know. I just felt like drawing a girl crying. xD

Why's her face and mouth so small?
[/quote]

I tried to make it look like she was looking down. I don't know. xD

You need to work on your lighting as well, you have a shadow on your table but nothing else :/. Oh and your Porportions.

She's supposed to be far away from the table .. That's why it and the window are smaller ...

The window is too small even if it's suppose to be far in the bg, way too small.

It's a small window .. Do you have my brain to know what this drawing was supposed to have and what it may mean to me ? Were you there sitting next to me on a 6 hour plane ride from Jamaica back to Winnipeg where I live, asking me questions about what I was drawing ? Nope. I don't think so .. Unless you were wearing Harry Potter's invisible cloak .. You weren't there. Look .. I appreciate your insight, I really do .. But you can't tell me how small a window can be. Windows are not all the same size .. So please .. Don't tell me how a small a window can be, and how my drawing is supposed to look. I asked for opinions, not telling me a window is not the right size. Thank you ..

You're not understanding what we mean by perspective.

The way you have drawn the floor and the table do not actually seem to be identical to the way they're positioned.

This image right here has a specific perspective just like any other sketch, photo, painting etc.
The way you should layout your perspective is by plotting a vanishing point where you want everything to leave or finish (or to put it in a better terminology, vanish).

These are some basic perspective views you can use. The very top one represents the first link I have put in this post.

Yes, but why would thinks need to vanish if the drawing is of the girl in the room.
If you're standing in a room, (ie: a kitchen) do the walls and windows start disappearing if you're too far away ?
You're failing to explain this concept .. -OR- It's not supposed to be applied to this piece of work because there is nothing to "vanish".
