A new game hit the stores, the game is called Orbis. It was highly praised by literally ever critic that rated it. The game was a virtual reality game, well, not really. It actually put you in the game. Like you were literally put in. It's complicated. Anyways, it was an MMORPG of sorts. It was highly popular, people of all ages would play, participate in quests, battles, PvP Tournaments and so on. There were so many people playing that day. The game was getting really popular, breaking world records everywhere. A player decided to come up with an idea to have the most amount of video game players to ever be on an MMORPG at once. The creators encouraged it, thinking nothing would happen. People told each other about this. The day came, everybody logged on. They never logged out. Something happened, preventing them from logging out. If they were to lose all of their lives, they would die instead of respawning and so on, it was a disaster. Many theories were made, some people thought it was a group of sadistic hackers, some thought it was a terror attack, and so on. The company stated it was a fatal glitch. Years passed, and people slowly forgot.

It's been 20 years since that incident. People have mostly forgotten. Zeta Gaming decided to revive their old beauty back with Orbis Tandem, a remake of sorts. It was made to fix every error the game had. It's supposed to be foolproof. Rumors are running amok saying that they just took the old game and built on top of it, saving all of the data and fixing small stuff. Once again, everybody is buying the game, and tons of people are playing it. It's becoming as popular as it used to be, maybe even more popular then it used to be. The major people that were part of creating the game decided to hold an event, a major PvP thing of sorts. Of course they've been checking and constantly monitoring the game to prevent bugs. The event is to be held 3 weeks after the release of the game.

-Present Time (6, 12, 76)-
It's the day. You've been ready for this. It's the day of the giant PvP event. Of course, there's about 5 hours to spare. Should I grind? Should I make friends? Should I equip myself? Whatever you want. You just better bring your A-Game. And at the same time, a shady group of people are lurking around the currently-abandoned stadium, trying to do something.

It doesn't matter, right? It's just a game.

I-Max of 4 characters.
II-First come first serve with the Zodiacs.
III-No Godmodding. I'm f***ing serious.
IV-If you lose all of your Lives, Game OVER. You log in with 4 lives (03, then 02, then 01, then 00). You won't get a game over if you die before the tournament though. You'll just respawn in the main city. Oh, and to gain lives, you must beat a player in battle.
V-No going up to players and going "HEY LOL FIGHT!!!". You can ask them to fight, and if they accept, it can be PvP. Zodiacs can do this, but later though. After the Tournament.
VI-I have the final say in apps. So tough luck if I don't like it.

Appearance: Assuming it's a game appearance
Dark Acerbus is a rough height of 5' 11" when compared to the real world, however, the weight of this character is obviously unknown. He usually looks however he wishes so, as he doesn't care. So for the time being, his messy (as in rough, but clean) dark black hair with a slight white hue streak down the left side, is let down to the middle area of his back. His eyes are silver and shine in any kind of light, whether a black or a flash kind, and show the distinctness of his character. He has a healed gash across his entire right arm that remains uncovered mainly for the purpose of just wanted it uncovered. Other than the showing gash and unusual eyes he has no other significant appearance traits that can be shown.
Bio: Assuming it's the real world person
Having just recently moved from his old town, he moved into the big city, where anything and everything was popular. When he first heard of the new game, he was hesitant on buying it since the last incident that happened. However, he read reviews and everything, and decided to buy the game. What could happen he asked himself. Regardless, he got the game, and started playing like crazy, doing different combinations for different character he created, and finally decided which character design was best for him in attack, defense, and other abilities. However, he began doing some planning on what moves he could use in what order, and he started noticing some strange characters over by the stadium. He pondered, but not reported. That would feel like the mistake yet made.
Abilities (Max 5 at the moment):
-Snake Speed= Cost about 5 health points for 5 seconds, but increases attack speed and running speed by twice its base. When this effect ends, your health will regenerate.
-Multiple Poisons= One of two effects occur: Your attack will take the base attack of 5 normal attacks, or your attack will poison your opponent for 10 seconds (Magnitude varies).
-Dark Quake= Attack at the ground causes the ground to shake violently. The energy converted from this enters your body, increasing your attack drastically, but however, leaves your defenses completely vulnerable from any angle.

Appearance:
He is covered in a blue/gray cloak that has been drenched in blood (not really of course) at the bottom, so not much can be said about this character. However, it is certain that his height is 6' 2", and that his hair is so long and wild that it covers most of his face entirely. His hair, speaking of which, is a dark blue and black mix of different places, matching his eyes. His eyes, are a crystal blue color, and sparkle in the brightest of lights. Underneath his eyes however, are claw marks that don't match a monster that has been categorized in the game index (if this is allowed), but also appear that they were man-made claw marks.

I really liked .hack (infection, mutation, outbreak, quarantine). Never played the new ones, but I do distinctly remember liking the series. I'd like to reserve a Zodiac Player. Virgo, if you don't mind.

If I don't bother posting in this topic by, oh let's say, Monday then I've probably lost interest, and feel free to replace me.

When Orbis was first released, a snap from his fingers was enough as to have it on his hand. But when he played it, he sucked at it. He could not win absolutely any fight, and thus when the panic shutdown occurred, he forced his old avatar in hiding on a corner.[/font][/left][left][font="tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif"]When he turned 25 and had finished University, he was kicked out of his house. He was given $4,000 to get a good house, and eat for a while while he looked for a job. He found none, and wasted his money in expensive places to satisfy himself. He soon fell to the streets. From all the money he got, he kept enough as to get an Orbis Tandem. Though he didn't actually have a console to play it in. It was then when a stranger offered him into a common hall in which hundreds of people were playing this same game. He spent 4 weeks getting a character. And he focused on what for many years he had to search for. Water. His character was a Mage. He called him Samuel. He got to do two particular Quests, for two particular Spells. One was called Memory Shot. The second was Waving Disaster. He was now ready. He'd make as many allies as possible, and gain some lives while he could. The PvP will start soon. He must be quick about it.[/font][/left][left][font="tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif"]Abilities:[/font][/left][left][font="tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif"]-Memory Shot: Upon usage, the caster draws Water from a nearby source, and manipulates it in the shape of a string. The sting can go through a character's head, and extract memory (Locations, knowledge how to acquire weapons or Spells, and even records on the player's last hours of activity). The caster can later transfer it to other players, be it himself or not. The original User whose information was subtracted from keeps the information, though.[/font][/left][left][font="tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif"]-Waving Disaster: The caster moves arms and hands as an Orchestra Director, and any Water nearby will bend to the caster's hands' will. The Water can become solid and/or create sharp edges, all to the caster's bending. While this ability is in use, music reflecting the required movements the Water is to perform plays as background music. Any current background music is replaced by this.[/font][/left][left][font="tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif"]
