Dad
No confirmed word for Left 4 Dead 3, but with all the creative ideas being sent to Valve, we may have something to look forward to. As a long time fan of Left 4 Dead, one of the most competitive games online today, I can say for a fact that this game in itself is almost perfect. Beside the stupidity of the A.I. human bots sometimes, the layout of both games has proven to be awesome. The Infected Common Infected, believe it or not, are possibly the most threatening of Infected in certain situations. Things can go from bad to total shitstorm during a horde or Crescendo Event. My reasoning? Common Infected do two things: 1.) If you're running, and get hit by a common Infected, you literally stop where you are. The most annoying mechanic in the game. They pin you with a single punch. 2.) The commons can attack you from any angle. And oddly enough, when they rush at you, they will sometimes attack you from one direction, and move to another, to continue their slow onslaught. The Boomer

Possibly the most hated of Boss Infected. Not because he is slow, but because he causes so much chaos. Not only does he blind survivors, but he summons a series of hordes (depending on the number of bile covered survivors) at one time. That will have your survivors pinned, and open for attacks. Boomers are game changers. They come in all genders. All being two. Boomer love. <3 The Hunter

One of the more lethal Boss Infected. Leaping like Spider-man, he's hard to hit, but not hard to hear. A loud and obvious threat, he can be heard from miles away. But the further away he is, the more likely he is to pounce a survivor for high initial damage. I'm talking 25 HP; that's a quarter of your health, before he actually starts to rip you apart. But as powerful as he is, he can easily be stopped. Because he is so loud, you can pinpoint his location, and prepare for that high pounce. See him coming? Blast his ass out of the air! Or if you're a pro, dead stop him and blow his face off. The Smoker

Before I go any further, this needs to be said: Smoker's are not meant to dish out damage! Smokers are used to separate the survivors. And because they can attack from log distances, they aren't the easiest targets. The Smoker's best friend is a Boomer. Wait until the survivors are blinded, then snatch one of their friends away. Sneaky Smoker is lethal Smoker. The Jockey

Like the Smoker, the Jockey's abilities are not for dishing out damage. He is meant to separate and distract survivors. While he cannot kill a survivor like the Hunter or Smoker, he can steer them into extremely dangerous situations. Especially if they are covered in bile. From cliff sides to fifth story windows, the Jockey will place you where he wants you, and if nothing else, set the survivors up for even MORE lethal situations. Like my next one armed friend. The Charger

The Charger knows nearly no boundaries. If there is a cliff side, there is a Charger. Wherever there is a hanging or suddenly dashing off survivor, there is a Charger. And with 600 HP in his powerful arsenal, he is a gigantic threat. While he cannot throw cars, he will not release a survivor once grabbed, and he cannot simply be shoved off, like a Smoker or Hunter. He must be killed. Oh, and remember kids, avoid standing with your chest towards a cliffside. Charger's will kamikaze you to death. The Spitter

I'm sure her name implies a lot. But this isn't just a loogie, this is an acid patch she hawks at you. The last thing you need is to be cornered by horde, while stepping in burning acid. The Spitter, much like the Boomer, is a game changer. When you think about hiding in a single room for far too long, be prepared to be forced out of it, quick, fast, and in a hurry. The Witch

While the Witch is not a playable Boss Infected, she is still one the bigger threats. Much like a Charger, she knows nearly no limits. If you startle her, be prepared for an instant incapacitation. She dishes out about 100 dmg per second on an incapped survivor, so be on her quickly if she is startled. Smoker's like to use Witches to their advantage. You can be pulled towards her, causing her to be startled. Be prepared for this. The Tank

Standing at about ten feet tall, 100% muscle, and enough power to toss a car up and over buildings, the only thing a Tank fears is fire. The Tank is one of the most loved and feared Boss Infected. Not only because he changes strategies for survivors, but Infected players too. Tanks can cause instant incaps, but he can't do all the work. Or can he? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGm2k7LgOAw The Humans While the Infected play a huge role in the game, the humans play an even bigger role. With a wide variety of weapons to their arsenal (from baseball bats to grenade launchers, and pipe bombs to Boomer Bile Bombs) they have to find and navigate their way to the safe room in each level, ALIVE. And there's no telling what Boss Infected will spawn, when they will spawn, or where. But if they don't stick together, and clear the Boss Infected from each player in time, they could all be pinned, and everything will go to s***. Most games say they emphasize teamwork. Well, this game gives the word "teamwork" a whole new outlook and definition. FAQ 1.) What's the best gun in the game? There is no "best" gun. The gun being used depends on the player. If you know how to use the crouch button, your Uzi can be as accurate as a sniper rifle. If you know when to bash, your pump shotty becomes automatic. 2.) What's the best way to use a Tank? Give the Tank support. He can't just rush in and start swinging at the survivors. He'll get killed in no time at all. If you don't hae any support when playing as a Tank, hang back, and throw rocks. Get comfortable when playing as a Tank, too. It's a lot of pressure using him, so you have to try and relax. Allow your Special Infected teammates to confuse the survivors, and surprise them when they're pinned by common Infected and Spitter Goo. And remember, your surroundings that glow are throwable. Punch them and incap the survivors. 3.) What's the best way to deal with a Tank? Well, that depends on how good the Tank is. But regardless, you'll want to try and light him on fire. In addition to concentrated fire, the fire damage done to a Tank is about 50 HP per second. If he's burning, he's toast. Get it? GET IT? But don't get reckless. The Tank has a lot to work with depending on his surroundings. Not to mention his other Special Infected. Clear fast, and stay on top of him. 4.) My teammates and I often toss away our throwable items too many at a time. How do we avoid this? Call out your throws. If someone is Boomed, before you throw your pipe bomb, call it out to your teammates, so that they don't waste their own. You could need your other Pipe Bombs and Mollies later. 5.) My teammate died, but the remaining three of us think we can make it. Along the way to the safe room, we found a Defib. Should we bring him back and lose that 25 bonus, or keep going? Trust me, the 25 point bonus you lose is not nearly as devastating to the opposing team fi the four of you make it to the safe room. Distance means serious points for the survivor team. Twenty-five points won't mean a thing in the long run. 6.) Adrenaline or pills? It depends. If you know you're playing against a team who's Special Infected are really good, I recommend pills. It'll serve you better in the long run. If you find yourself speeding through levels against poor Special Infected, take that adrenaline. 7.) How did the opposing team do so much damage to us? We defended ourselves but couldn't seem to keep up. Teamwork. Special Infected are a threat, yes, but not one on four. One Jockey or Charger can't do the damage an entire Infected team can at once. Your key players (before a Tank) are Boomers and Chargers. Blind the survivors, then send in the rest of your team when they can't see. Don't go rushing in by yourself. Synchronize your spawns so that you don't alert the survivors with your cries (like the Hunter and Spitter's wails). And remember, late spawning (or close spawning) is the key. 8.) Desert Eagle or melee weapon? Again, it depends on the player. Melee weapons I personally prefer because, when you have a massive horde, and that d-eagle needs to reload, you could be taking serious damage. With a melee weapon, you can bash your way through, taking little or no damage at all. But on the ground (incapped), the d-eagle can save you or your teammate's life. Just for future reference, the SCAR has the largest clip of ammo for a normal gun in the game. It also is able to take down a Tank in under 35 seconds (on expert, 8000 HP). Current Topic: Thoughts on characters (humans) for Left 4 Dead 3? Dad
Bumpage. :3 I guess I'll start then. First character for humans to be introduced should be Keith, from Ellis' stories. I mean come on, who wouldn't want to play as the guy who thought he was robbed by a ghost? xD Then, we need a Japanese babe. I mean, if anyone could survive a zombie apocalypse, they would be Japanese.
Doomboi
We also need a marine (maybe from Doom) or CIA agent.
Dad
We also need a marine (maybe from Doom) or CIA agent.
It'd be total lulz if they added a playable CEDA agent. Could add controversy, and a bigger story. Maybe he turns into a zombie in DLC. See? I'm already making the game. Inferno I20
I would totally want a Japanese babe But first they need to add cutscenes and actually make the game freaking long not just 5 levels
Flame Dragon
I made a set of the original infected a while ago. Never played the games, but they seems really cool. I have steam so if I ever feel the need to play it I can. Also, fun fact, Little Kuriboh really like the series.
