THE GOD OF OBELISK
Kojondo (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Regeneration EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Fake Out - Hi Jump Kick - Taunt - U-turn This guy is an amazing lead - impressive mixed offensives/speed and amazing abilities makes this a great Anti-Lead. Inner Focus ability could work against other Fake Out leads, but I prefer Regeneration. I’ve chosen Adamant over Jolly most leads are too fast even for Jolly Base 105, Adamant nets a crucial Fake Out + U-turn KO on Azelf. Slower Stealth Rock leads get afflicted by Taunt too. Hi Jump Kick can cleanly 2HKO Lead Metagross and OHKO Aerodactyl after Fake Out breaks its Sash but Brick Break can barely 2HKO fragile Stealth Rock leads. BOOMANADA (Salamence) (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Intimidate EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Dragon Claw - Outrage - Fire Fang - Earthquake Dragon king Salamence returns to wreak havoc in Gen 5, and once again I am abusing the hell out of the Choice Band set. As hard as it may be to believe, Salamence is in constant competition with all the other OU dragons. Well, maybe not all of them, but Garchomp and Latios for sure. I wanted a fight/ground switch in, so Garchomp was no good, and in the end, intimidate made me opt for Salamence over Latios. Salamence also doesn't get bullied around by stuff like Tyranitar and Shandera. Dragon Claw for STAB when I don't want to be locked into outrage, and Earthquake and Fire Fang for coverage. Fire Fang on CB Mence actually OHKO's some Nattorei's. Gojira (Tyranitar) (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Sand Stream EVs: 148 HP / 252 Atk / 108 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Pursuit - Crunch - Stone Edge - Earthquake Choice Band Tyranitar was probably the most dangerous offensive threat stall had to deal with last gen. Honestly; Tyranitar should have been banned last gen. But this isn't last gen. Tyranitar has an absurd number of problems to face nowadays, mainly in the form of a 300,000,000 year old insect, a water pony, a bull/musketeer thing, a mexican construction worker, and a mole with drills for hands. That's in addition to all his old problems too. Still, Tyranitar is easily the best weather mon in OU, and he can still bully around a bunch of special sweepers. Crunch and Stone Edge for STAB, Earthquake to hit things and Pursuit to trap things. Moguera (Doryuuzu) (M) @ Balloon Trait: Sand Throw EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Brick Break - Rock Slide - Earthquake Dory the explorer, destroying teams with ease in a sandstorm. This thing is ridiculous. 602 Speed and 369 Attack, with Swords Dance, a Life Orb, and STAB Earthquakes. Good luck defending yourself. Roobushin does around 60-70% with Mach Punch, so have no fear and just kill it with Earthquake. After that, proceed to rip through everything else with Rock Slide and Brick Break. Brick Break is nice because it beats other Doryuzuu's, since they always run Balloon. Shobijin (Jirachi) @ Leftovers Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 252 HP / 96 Atk / 128 SDef / 32 Spd Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - U-turn - Wish - Body Slam - Iron Head Jirachi went from the overall best OU pokemon from last Gen to just a decent Pokemon in this Gen. It’s actually kind of sad. Either way, this dude still makes wishes come true. Literally. Thanks to the Wish buff, he basically heals around 60-75% to my other team members. Body Slam paralyzes Garchomp, Doryuzuu and Randorosu, giving it a huge advantage over Thunder Wave, even if it doesn't always work. Iron head can flinch things to death before or after I paralyze them. U-turn for easier wish passing, running away from Shandera's on the switch, and also for the offensive momentum. Even though Jirachi isn't as good as before, he's still probably the best support pokemon in OU, since he can actually rack up kills, unlike others. MyLittlePony (Kerudio) @ Leftovers Trait: Justice Heart EVs: 120 HP / 136 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Hidden Power [Ice] - Surf - Mystery Sword Surf and Mystery Sword make for a deadly STAB combination, especially since Mystery Sword hits defense instead of special defense. Hidden Power Ice because I'm way more afraid of Salamence/Lati@s/Garchomp than I am of a stupid undead jellyfish. After a calm mind, this dude hits even harder than LO Starmie, and he can get Calm Minds in easily, so I usually get at least 2 per game. So yeah, RMT. I also need a nickname for my lead.. This guy is standard and alright for a lead. No real problems, except you could replace regenaration with inner focus for other Kojondo's. BOOMANADA (Salamence) (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Intimidate EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Dragon Claw - Outrage - Fire Fang - Earthquake Dragon king Salamence returns to wreak havoc in Gen 5, and once again I am abusing the hell out of the Choice Band set. This guy is also standard so whatever... A Gliscor could f*** you up - you have only one Sp Attacker. Also you're coverage isn't to good. THE GOD OF OBELISK
lolthanks I used to run Life Orb on Doryuuzu but I'm not too sure. I'd be happy to change the lead btw.
