Holy hell is this awesome or what? note that this is only a demo and is still being worked on :3

Well, my computer doesn't even use a graphics card, so the game runs like garbage for me. I'll have to assume that the game-play is spot-on when compared to the original.

Anyways, the graphics look nice, but it gets a bit too cluttered sometimes. I think there's too much detail in the stages (especially the foreground). Sonic and enemies look greatm though.

Music's a bit hit and miss. I don't like Act 1, Act 2 is meh, Act 3 is pretty cool.

Overall, it could use some work (or to be more specific, don't put too much detail in the graphics), but it's lookin' pretty good.

thinking that Sonic 4 is a Sonic 1 reboot and this sonic game i've posted is similar to Sonic 2 and i'm digging the detail there more than in the thing sonic put up and its on the freaking PC d-@_@ there are hardly any sonic titles on the pc anyway >_>"

Well, obviously they deserve credit for putting so much effort into a fan-made game. And while it does look better than Sonic 4, technically you're comparing Sonic 4 to a game SEGA made and fans prettied up, no? Still, it's funny to see fans do a better job on a fan project than SEGA's efforts on Sonic 4.

i would be way better if they took some notes from what the fans do, I've seen a lot of fan movies that outdo the sega titles. Tho i can't say much about it now since my video board is completely fried ._.

Act 1's lay-out is eerily similar to Sonic 2's Emerald Hill Zone Act 2's. Act 2 has the Hill Top Zone music. And shouldn't there have been a boss at the end of act 3? Still, it is a pretty good job.

its a demo dude, not all demo games contain a boss

IIRC, there is no Act 3. I believe these guys included one to test out their level designing skills. At least, that's what I heard.
