[spoiler=The Lament of a Card Game][center][i]'Twas the end of the second World War. Some scientists were reckless and opened a door.
But it was no usual door you see, and soon the scientist would in their underwear pee.
This door lead to a world that ain't lame, it gave the opportunity for an awesome card game!

Years did pass and the card game was great, there was nothing about it to hate.
Disregarding the monsters that went insane, this card game was kind of plain.
It was still awesome though, but soon the world went "D'oh!"
Cause some people who were up to no good, started making trouble in the neighbourhood.
They got in one little fight, and the world was in fright.
It's time for these peopel to pay for their sins, and that is where our story begins...[/i][/center][/spoiler][spoiler=Plot]This RP takes place in what I would like to call "the real universe". That means that it will follow the real world timeline up until now, except for some quite major changes: After WWII, scientists opened a portal to the Spirit World and stored the spirits in cards, and thus invented the greatest card game of all time. Anyway, even though Duel Monsters is the most played sport in this universe things that happened after WWII did also happen here, like 9/11, the war in Iraq, the tsunami in Thailand during 2004 (this will actually have a part to play in this RP) and other events.

However, now is the year 2030, and people was reliefed that 2012 didn't happen. However, some think that his been delayed, because now the world has started to shake and tremble. Half of Los Angeles has already been swallowed by the sea, and Africa has been divided into two different continents obviously named Northern and Southern Africa, with the southern one crashing into Antarctica, shaking Earth all down to it's core. It was soon revealed that this was all caused by two men who calls themselves Champions of Katastrophe, each of them holds a card that can cause either tsunamis or earthquakes.

She wears bright red "sunglasses" over her eyes. Under the "sunglasses" are 2 different colored eyes. The right one red, the left one blue. Apparently, when she was a kid, she was involved in a car accident, which blinded her. The doctors did have an alternative, however. She must permanently wear two contacts which would partially bring back her sight, and wear the sunglasses to finish it off. Without the sunglasses, she can see as well and would have the average height of somebody that needs glasses. She wears a blue shirt with a yellow Gemini zodiac symbol on the back and a black Libra zodiac symbol on the front. She wears a red jacket over the shirt. On the back of the jacket is a blue star, with the Gemini zodiac symbol in the center of the star. Scarlet wears blue jeans and red sneakers as well.

At only seven, she painted her entire bedroom wall, much to her parents' disdain. They took away all of her painting utilities, leaving her "colorless." She began to write poetry at the time, to appease this. However, her poetry style was dark and sadistic, always being pessimistic about life. At thirteen, she managed to get a hold of a two cans of paint: one black, and one white. Using these two colors only, she manages to paint an elaborate mural on her wall, adjacent to the one she made six years before, and all in greyscale. Her parents found out about this, but now encouraged her artistic ability. She went to a visual arts academy, and was very happy there. Well, until it was destroyed, of course. She found out about the Champions of Katastrophe and created a small group of duelists, collectively named "Abstract Burst," to oppose them. Of course, this group was somewhat pointless, since everyone in the world opposes them. But, she doesn't care and still maintains it.
