Ah, so then the only thing you haven't listened to is Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder. It's pretty good but not quite the quality of everything after. You should definitely check out Versions and The Tropic Rot though. 

 

I plan on getting to all of ptw's albums, probably will sometime

 

been listening to almost nothing but Post-Hardcore in the past couple of weeks

Got sick of not being able to find a hi-res image of the Chaos Is Me album cover, so I made one in photoshop using a picture of someone's vinyl copy. Turned out pretty good for my first time. Not quite a pro yet though~

I'm a new fan to metal, and as I was creeping through this thread I would like to say thank ya'll for the epic bands ya'll have been posting. My ipod makes my speakers go hard now.

 

Good stuff man, any groups that you liked in particular? I'm sure we can probably recommend similar ones based on those.

if you need any recs then were all open to giving some, at least i think we are, i remember my first two metal albums were Around the Fur (Deftones) and Lateralus (Tool).

Funny, I was just listening to their Dog's Blood EP yesterday. Awesome stuff. 

 

i still need to listen to dog's blood, been listening to aof since i was like 10 i think, pretty much the band that got me into hardcore music.

Awesome man, Dog's Blood is probably their most hardcore release, much more punk. I really wish they'd made another album because I would've loved to hear how they progressed from there.

yeah i wish they didnt split up, dallas green is still doing his amazing solo stuff though, hes coming my way in may, definitely wanting tickets for it.
