Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest and Liberate Te Ex Inferis are the best if you haven't checked those out.

I haven't and I'm gonna listen to about half of Liberate Te Ex Inferis before I hit the bed

The band has stated that Neurosis was the biggest influence for that album's sound. It's probably my favorite. What albums have you listened to so far?

None I only have heard a couple of songs by them, only just now listening to one of their albums

Great place to start then! I could go on about what every album sounds like and what the next good one to listen to would be but I'll spare you for now~

I was kinda hoping you'd ask me to haha, ugh I love this band. They were supposed to be making a new album last year but they haven't said anything about it for a long time :(

I almost told you to hit me with all that Zao, but since you really wanna tell me more, I can go for it, also I really can see what you love about these guys, definitely a great band.

Yea, they're one of my favorites, you've pretty much heard the best with Liberate Te Ex Inferis.

Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest is probably just as good musically, but the production isn't quite as dark and murky. (Self-Titled) has a more atmospheric vibe and has some slower songs, but it's awesome and is one of their more overlooked albums in my opinion.

Parade of Chaos is weird, the guitar tone is odd and not nearly as heavy, though the band has said they did it on purpose. Still a good album but probably my least favorite.

The Funeral of God is great, a more modern take on the sound from previous albums. The production is much more clean and song structures are more linear but don't let that deter you from listening. Really cool concept album about what would happen if God decided to forsake his creations and leave them behind.

The Fear is what Keeps Us Here is sick, really raw production (produced by Steve Albini) and near-grind elements mixed in with their classic stylings. This one really shows their chops, probably the fastest and most technical album they've released.

Awake? goes back to the more clean production and more melodic tendencies of The Funeral of God. Not quite on par with the classics but it's still a Zao album, so it's worth a listen.

Their self titled album and The Fear is What Keeps Us Here sound like the albums that I should go for. I'll probably check out those ones next.

Good Stuff. (Self-Titled) is actually the album's title, it's not really a self-titled album haha.

Yeah I figured that out recently and I listened to the album, it was definitely great, not as good as Liberate Te Ex Infinis, but it was close.

I also just finished listening to Kezia, Protest The Hero are pretty good.

Normally I would go on and on about how awesome is Zao with a minimum of 500 words but not today! Today, at exactly 5:33 am, I've just finish listening to DGD's new album and that is all I can process. That and the ending of Breaking Bad..anyone who didn't pre-order it can listen to their stream on youtube.

I actually listened to it as well, it was quite the great album, I'll be getting it at the first moment I see it.

Indeed. But as much as I love this lp and I do, a whole lot, it still can't beat Happiness. The only flaw that Happiness has is that Mess isn't in it.

I'm finding it hard to choose between one, though I've been leaning more towards Happiness, Acceptance Speech is probably coming along in a close second for me
