Ehh, I don't think I'd say that. The songs on With Roots... are much more linear for the most part, and the production is more clean.

I just went by the logic of whichever album got the lowest ratings, since that usually works, but in this case it doesn't

cap'n jazz, man

I agree. They played in my are the day before I found out about them.

You warming up to the band?

I guess you could say that, Sunbather's definitely a grower and now that I'm into Deafheaven I'm finding them to be very addictive, it's like when you put on one of their songs you have to listen to nothing but them all day long.

Listening to some Hopesfall right now, since I'm in a Post-Hardcore mood

Some of these're post-hardcore but hey, close enough.

In no particular order:

Be'Lakor

Alesana

Asking Alexandria (Say what you will, these guys are great.)

Metallica

Megadeth

Slayer

Slipknot

Bullet For My Valentine (Pushing it, but I personally believe it counts)

Five Finger Death Punch (Again)

Disturbed is alright... Getting too repetitive

Avenged Sevenfold (BEFORE Nightmare. Hell, City Of Evil may be the peak.)

How could I have forgotten Deadlock?!

That's all I can think of off the top of my head... I could go into all my music and find more most likely.

None of those were actually Post-Hardcore, the closest bands to Post-Hardcore were all Metalcore ones.

Leaving some of The Chariot here, sucks that they had to break up, and it sucks even more that their farewell tour is not coming anywhere near me

You lucky bastard, I envy you

>:3

Anyone up for some Touche Amore?

They're pretty good but I haven't really been able to get into them for some reason.

By the way Moog, got Dronevil -Final- in the mail today, can't wait to listen to both discs together.

That makes six Boris albums I own on CD, not long before I have the rest.

And I'm still sitting here with only nothing but a digital copy of Amplifier Worship, Flood, and Pink

So that's a no?

Dood wait until you get that debit card.

Oh I know, it'll be worth the wait

I've tried but they haven't worked for me for some reason. I'll try again sometime though.

For me they were love at first listen, but whatever

La Dispute any better?

My girlfriend loves them so believe me, I have tried so many times. I just can't get into them. They aren't a bad band by any means though.

I got to see them open for Hot Water Music, they were pretty good live.

Damn, I really loved Wildlife, it was a very feelsy album, at least you like Hot Water Music (I've only heard a few songs by them, but so far I really like them), that would of been an awesome concert to go see

Anyone here dig Poison The Well, I've been wondering if they're worth checking out

Hahaha...my gf loves La Dispute too...uggh.. Ashame to say that I don't know Hot Water Music.

I love em. Probably going to dust off my copy of The Opposite Of December and gave it a nice spin.

Anyway, felt like it's been a long while since I came here and I've been digging a lot of post hardcore lately and Sparta's Wiretap's Scar is always on my stereo. As much as I love The Mars Volta, Sparta actually gave me a tsunami size wave of nostalgia towards ATDI everytime I listen to them.

I've heard lots of good stuff about them and was wondering if they were really all that good, I'll definitely go listen to that album

And now that I have listened to it all I can say is holy hell I've been missing out on quite the band.

Yea, it's a great album. Nothing else they've done sounds like that though, they went experimental. All of it is worth checking out though.

I just realized that I really like The Devil Wears Prada's Dead Throne and the new album 8:18. I'm not too partial to their older work anymore but these are pretty great albums.
