Susie
I personally think it's tied with Define the Great Line as their best. For me it goes like this: The Changing of Times = Cries of the Past > Act of Depression > Disambiguation > Define The Great Line > Lost in the Sound of Separation > They're Only Chasing Safety

Still great for what they are though.
Tentacruel
Most of my exposure to Underoath has been their most watered down commercial songs that float into Christian Contemporary, which has kind of soured me to the band, but they really are pretty good. Demon Hunter has a similar problem. Speaking of which... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzC_jy7VKSE
Susie
I like the stuff with Dallas but I don't think it's as good as their last three albums. Still great for what they are though. It depends on my mood, sometimes I feel like their stuff with Dallas, other times I feel like their stuff with Spencer, though most of the time I feel like listening to their stuff with Dallas. Most of my exposure to Underoath has been their most watered down commercial songs that float into Christian Contemporary, which has kind of soured me to the band, but they really are pretty good. It took a long time for me to get into Underoath, but eventually I did. Switching over to some Cult of LunaI don't understand why Vertikal got so much negativity, I thought it was amazing, though I guess some people just don't like the change of sound on that album. You probably heard stuff from They're Only Chasing Safety, which is their worst and most commercial-sounding album.Their next album Define the Great Line took a major step away from the mainstream but somehow managed to make #2 on the Billboard charts. Album is amazing. You might also be surprised at what they sounded like when they first started. Demon Hunter has a similar problem. Speaking of which... I used to like Demon Hunter but I was young and didn't know any better.

Basically I love them for nostalgia sake. My love for DTGL is because it's actually a good album and they improved themselves. Disambiguation is like...well..lp sound like a Deftone album. CinnamonStar
Yeah. I'm still trying to get around to get my tickets, and trying to get it confirmed from my boss that I can get the day off cause I requested it on that day. Yeh, me and baka over there are finally meeting irl. ASSUMING HE GETS HIS TICKET. But either way, I'm going with another friend irl. Long concert is going to be long. Like, I don't see it ending till at least midnight. Guys you know I'd love to go on a gig with everyone who posts here irl, but too far away.Unless I have money one day and make my trip around the world.xD That sucks man, Opeth and Dir en grey both cancelled shows that I wanted to go but I don't remember why. Opeth will surely be back but I'm afraid Dir en grey won't make it down here again. I've always wanted to see them. Dir en Grey have made some stops in Europe, but they mostly stick to Asia afaik.=S Understandable but still. Also I mostly listen to the typical kind of Metal women are more likely to enjoy. Susie
I used to like Demon Hunter but I was young and didn't know any better. tfw I used to like A7X, Enter Shikari, and As I Lay Dying And since we're still on the topic of Underoath The Changing Of Times = Define The Great Line = Disambiguation > Cries of The Past > Lost in the sound of separation > Act Of Depression > They're Only Chasing Safety Love TCOT because I felt on love with Underoath while they were with Dallas and saw them with him and they played the whole album. I'm actually starting to re-think where I put Act of Depression, I think that it should of been a bit lower than a 3rd favorite. The Changing of Times has always been my favorite record with Dallas in it, and I agree that Disambiguation has a bit of a Deftones vibe to it. Wish I could love Dallas' current band. Like em but not so crazy bout em even though my gf love the hell out of that band. And I might be seeing Sparta this fall. Hope they play new tracks since it's be almost a year since they release their latest single.

I never knew that Dallas had done anything else outside of Underoath Almost finished listening to this album, beautiful and drone-y kind of reminds of Flood. Susie
That was meh, I didn't really like the intro one bit at all, but the song got better, so I'll give it that
~NOiSE~
That was meh, I didn't really like the intro one bit at all, but the song got better, so I'll give it that I'm not really a big fan, I was in high school. They were actually the first band I ever moshed to. I still enjoy some songs but listening to a full album gets boring. I think Dallas sounds pretty good in Maylene but I wish he were in a better band.

The first band I moshed to was a local one involving my cousin's best friends, other than that it would be Rise Against. I agree that Dallas sounds amazing, but the band itself just isn't that great at all.

I haven't listened to that one yet, I have everything from Through Silver In Blood to the latest album. This band Betrayed is pretty great, too bad they aren't around anymore. ~NOiSE~
Damn Ballou, why you produce such great albums He just has really good taste I guess. Pretty much everything he produces comes out awesome, most recently the Birds In Row album You, Me & the Violence. He also produced Howl by This Routine Is Hell, I think I posted a track from that a few weeks ago. Gonna post tracks from both albums! Anyways I had a pretty diverse day today, I went from a Boris binge to a Circle Takes The Square binge, so I'll just leave some of them here. Circle Takes the Square is great. Boris rules too but I'm not in the mood to sink into their murkey depths at the moment.
Susie
Why haven't I bothered with these guys until now Circle Takes the Square is great. Boris rules too but I'm not in the mood to sink into their murkey depths at the moment. Boris are one of my all time favorite bands, I can sink into them any moment of my life...well maybe not their really Drone-y stuff, though Pink and Smile are two albums that I can listen to almost any moment of my life. CTTS aren't a personal favorite of mine, but I love them a lot as well. My favorite Screamo band is Orchid.

Boris is really great, I just haven't had much time to invest in listening to their more inaccessible work. Orchid is up there with my favorite screamo bands, but I love City of Caterpillar as well.
