Eury
I'm going to pretend I know who Liturgy is. In the meantime: Female power screams are awesome. 5:20 is when it happens.
Dismal Euphony
I'm going to pretend I know who Liturgy is. In a nutshell, Liturgy is just another generic "experimental" black metal fronted by some pompous Ivy League douche who makes the band seem like they're the saving grace of the genre and the face of "American Black Metal", when in reality they're nothing more than a sub-mediocre avante-garde band that offers literally nothing new. I honestly would have just passed them off as nothing more than a band that I didn't care for and went on with my life, but his pretentiousness and superiority complex leave me with no choice but to hate them more than I probably should. CinnamonStar
Liturgy - who?Never heard of them.Idk, I usually stay away from artists/people with huge pretentions. But Unleash the Archers was quite enjoyable. I liked the female vocalist's tone, but I think she lacked a bit of power (besides the screams). ~NOiSE~
Female power screams are awesome. 5:20 is when it happens. I'm not usually into female vocalists...but there are some exceptions. Such as... Kylesa and Circle Takes the Square also have female vocalists.
Eury
The Agonist, Arch Enemy, Amaranthe, Sirenia (fave of mine), new Illnath, Katra, etc. All wonderful female vocalists.

I know most of those groups, but I'm not into metal so much anymore to be honest. There are still a few groups that I like though but I'm more into hardcore and metalcore (which is just a hardcore and metal crossover).

Susie
Liturgy - who? They're what I like to call "the giant BM clusterfuck band with a pretenious lead vocalist" I remember listening to Returner and I thought "Hey this doesn't sound all that bad at all" but then when I put on Aesthethica and heard the first track, High Gold, I was just like WTF is this supposed to be? And I'm also with Dismal on the pretenious part it's a bit hard for me to take Hunter seriously, it seems as if the only bands who have personalities that I despise of are Liturgy and BOTDF. And finally no one brought up this song while we were discussing female vocalists, so I'll post it I know most of those groups, but I'm not into metal so much anymore to be honest. There are still a few groups that I like though but I'm more into hardcore and metalcore (which is just a hardcore and metal crossover). Same here except with electronic music, been chilling with a lot of Massive Attack, Aphex Twin, Mount Kimbie, and Boards of Canada. Though I still love some good DSBM and Sludge/Doom stuff specifically Eyehategod, possibly my favorite Metal band right next to Converge.
~NOiSE~
And finally no one brought up this song while we were discussing female vocalists, so I'll post it Yeeeaa Pig Destoyer. Book Burner is so underrated. Still haven't listened to Eyehategod, I think I get them confused with Godflesh a lot (need to check them out too). This is what I'm currently listening to. I wouldn't call it underrated but more overlooked This is what I'm currently listening to. ~NOiSE~
djent. Forgive me when I say this: ewwww. I'm not a fan of the genre outside of it's creators, Meshuggah. But don't take it personally! Poison the Well!
.Corgi
He also made this gem of a video: Yeah, saw it a couple of days ago. It was amazing. T I remember listening to Returner and I thought "Hey this doesn't sound all that bad at all" but then when I put on Aesthethica and heard the first track, High Gold, I was just like WTF is this supposed to be? It's actually one of my favorite songs by them, but the world would be a boring place if everyone had the same music taste. I have this weird thing for japanese screamo and metalcore (which i call j-skramz for entertainments sake) and this is one of the weirdest and coolest bands I've found. There's no studio version of any of their songs on youtube and only like 2 live videos so I may upload their "this city is changing for better or for worse" LP to youtube. So enjoy this live radness. CinnamonStar
My favourite female Metal vocalists are probably from After Forever, old Tristania (Vibeke), Sirenia, In This Moment and Seraphim.(Sad that AF doesn't exist anymore though...) Alissa White-Gluz from The Agonist does a great job at switching between growls and clean vocals. I wanted another Varg Vikernes for a while xPBut IDK, many people (including me) have never heard of them, so there you go. I liked the short exterpt from Pig Destroyer. Susie
What does the singer do/say exactly? I wanted another Varg Vikernes for a while xP He goes on about how his Black Metal is better than everyone else and looks at himself as a legendary god of BM djent. Not my kind of thing, I never got into the whole Djent thing, especially the ones that are mixed with Deathcore, it's two of my least favorite things put together. I'm not a fan of the genre outside of it's creators, Meshuggah. But don't take it personally! Despite how much I despise of Djent, Meshuggah aren't that bad Anyways been feeling bad today so didn't really listened to much Metal, I sticked with Ambient and Post-Rock, though I'll just post some Eyehategod
~NOiSE~
I liked the short exterpt from Pig Destroyer. Actually...that's the whole song haha. Grindcore is known for speeding through a large number of tracks in a short amount of time, that Pig Destroyer album is a half-hour long with 19 tracks. Hey, new Pelican track. About time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nat50FJBHVM

I walked out of their live show because they sounded awful and Norma Jean had already played.
.Corgi
He goes on about how his Black Metal is better than everyone else and looks at himself as a legendary god of BMI doubt he's serious about that. Susie
I doubt he's serious about that. If he is, he's a rather big douche. But to be honest, BM elitists are way worse. Elitists in general are bad, and whether he's serious or not doesn't really change my opinion on Liturgy, their music still doesn't appeal to me, also if Hunter wasn't being serious then I think that he would of said so by now, since even Liturgy fans are taking him seriously and calling him a pretenious douche. Anyways been on a DSBM binge all day, I'm in a Coffin are pretty good
