Susie
I'm hype bout this.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gD38u15JRlA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14NNW7j1sDA Oh funk dude glad to see you back, never thought youd ever come back to this abandoned wasteland of a site lol. Yeah they finally did it, they finally got it out after hell knows how damn long. I dunno who wouldnt be hype as funk. Not really Metal or Hardcore but I wanna throw these guys here since I think most here would dig. They play a sound along the line of guys like Hum, Failure, Far, Deftones, Cave In, Narrow Head, My Bloody Valentine, and Superheaven.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kX3nS8gdQw

Mr.Robot
Never took you to be one whos into soccer or wrestling. But yeah cool that youre back here man. Never heard of either of those bands but they were both cool jams especially Slow Bloom. Im in love with this album so much. Half the member of Slow Bloom were part of another cool skramz band called State Faults and the other half from strike to survive. And if you love Antioch Arrow, listen to Heroin. 2 of their member were part of that band and it's one of the bands that inspired Geoff Rickly of Thursday. Anyway, more Slow Bloom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDBfZ_0MmPM Also new Glassjaw. Bass is sexy af and the chorus is fine as wine. Though, I get why some might think it's boring. Overall, HYPE FOR THIShttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsmRYan062E

Already heard Heroin before, theyre really good. Antioch Arrow to me though are a whole lot more interesting. Heard State Faults once or twice I definitely think this Slow Bloom stuff theyre doing is much better. I like that new Glassjaw track but I do find it a bit underwhelming compared to New White Extremity. It kinda sounds like their mixing their debut with the noisy stuff they did on Coloring Book and Our Color Green. Self Defense Family are a band I shoulda checked out earlier.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auF0qt8Og18 Also Hour of the Star are a nice early 90s Emo band.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qzp68KYuAxE
Mr.Robot
[spoiler=Lookie here] Some hated it though. More or less because it doesn't sound like them which is funny because they never sound the same on each lp. Album is great though. A love letter to 80s/90s NY Hardcore scene. Susie
[spoiler=Lookie here] Some hated it though. More or less because it doesn't sound like them which is funny because they never sound the same on each lp. Album is great though. A love letter to 80s/90s NY Hardcore scene. While it is true that all of their albums sound different id say that this new one is even more different. Like I can pretty easily see someone whos a big fan of EYEWTKAS being able to get into Worship but I can easily see someone not being able to get into Material Control and saying it doesnt sound like Glassjaw if they were expecting something thats like their first two. This new album is easily their least accessible album. Personally I like it a lot, it ends a bit abruptly but other than that its great even if I much prefer the first two. New White Extremity, Citizen, and Strange Hours are the highlights of the album for me. Currently going through some Emoviolence because thats what my current mood calls forhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-jKJyPZ-hM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wUq7OAbQek Also got around to listening to this earlier today. Cool fast-paced aggressive "Proto-Screamo" Hardcore stuffhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRDqVcR9q8w
Mr.Robot
Nah. Aside from Daryl singing and the name Glassjaw, OCG and CB doesn't sound anything like EYEWTAS or W&T. Plus songs like Citizen and Golgotha predates everything from EYEWTAS. There's another song called Neo-Tokyo but that didn't made the cut I guess. The album is a blatant tribute to bands like Mind Over Matter, Vision Of Disorder, Orange 9mm, Stillsuit, Quicksand and even Faith No More(that influenced EYEWTAS a lot). Listen to Automanipulation by Mind Over Matter and this album makes a lot more sense. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pkqOG9AjOM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3oTUTQk0t8
Susie
I didnt really mention the two EPs because I was trying to strictly speak about their full-lengths but yeah those two EPs also sound incredibly different from EYEWTKAS and Worship. I can hear a bit of Quicksand, Orange 9mm, and Faith No More in the new album but I dont think theres much Vision of Disorder in it or maybe I wasnt listening to it close enough to pick up that influence. Never listened to Stillsuit or Mind Over Matter so I cant comment on those. I get the album for sure and I do think that its funking great but I just find myself enjoying their first two more. Ill listen to that Mind Over Matter album sometime today.

Susie
Pretty great band that mixes Emo with Cloud Rap. Really poppy but still manages to be feelsy, really in love with this album.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiSVjJ4eKs8

Death Metal
Can't say I know too much deathcore except maybe "Through The Eyes Of The Dead" which I was pretty partial to back in the day. Perhaps search around for some Melodeath as well since they are pretty similar if you are just looking for new stuff.

syntaxoil
This is some great f***ing s*** gif from god rules, this band is from the same label and are pretty sick too I've been listening to these albums TONS recently; really grimy s*** Randomly remembered these dudes after a long time and decided to relisten to them. Apparently they changed their name from This Routine Is Hell to Swain though ive never listened to anything they did after the name change. I saw these guys open for Suis La Lune and Ampere together with Via Fondo, No Omega and Trachimbrod. def one of my top 3 live experiences ever Always love Kidcrash kidcrash is prime spring music. shame snow season just started here in sweden lol

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Since this is one of the more active threads I'll mention there are actual rules now :ohttps://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/371076-music-rules/ Of course no one is getting warned since they didn't exist but I figured it'd be good to have actual rules. Also wondering if anyone would have issue with this being unpinned for now? Since it's active enough without and it'd help highlight the rule thread.
