Susie
Oh hi old person who I dont recognize. Lurker of Challice and Capsule are both pretty cool but ive never heard of Anemone. Rosetta are good havent listened to them in forever but I still own my copy of Wake/Lift and A Determinism of Morality. To Speak of Wolves released a new EP last year that went under my nose, its pretty gudhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80YkeDf2u-A
syntaxoil
Nice find, that Capsule album is pretty rad. Did you post in this thread under your old name? I did, at first when you were really into In Flames and then just after you discovered Orchid. I also bought the double lp of Abandon - In Reality We Suffer during the same trip Oh hi old person who I dont recognize. Lurker of Challice and Capsule are both pretty cool but ive never heard of Anemone. I believe members of PDT formed Anemone and that members of Anemone went on to form Via Fondo who are pretty big in the swedish trve screamo scene. I Set My Friends On Fire are playing in my hometown soon, really hyped about that. Shame the opening acts seem to be generic melodic hardcore. I dont consider myself a fan of I Set My Friends On Fire but glad that theres a band coming your way that youre into. Just out of curiousity who are the opening acts? Susie
Back At North and Awake the Dreamer are opening Speaking of sick deathcore: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiXUCdn3cjQNever heard of either of those bands but upon listening to them I really wasnt missing out on much. Im conflicted with A Black Rose Burial, they seem like something I should be down for, raw sound, more hardcore-ish approach, and a few minor Mathcore elements but something about how they play their sound just seems off to me. They kinda make you feel uneasy but I dig that. I present the only band that is tagged on lastfm as "regressive mathcore", the whole album was obviously just a parody of aoaa-era deathcore but actually way more listenable and interesting than any beatdown band: Off-topic: Grindy dance pop Weird sassy dance rock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILYYZcE5dzs&index=6&list=LLIwDSPMVf2I1XmH2QeZdJ3A
~NOiSE~
I did, at first when you were really into In Flames and then just after you discovered Orchid. lol, I like to think I've come a long way since then. I cringe at myself when looking at some of my first posts here. Upcoming shows for me are Code Orange, Horrendous and Katatonia. Might have to skp one of the last two, would probably skip Katatonia in that case. As for deathcore, there are only a handful of albums I dig but they're done by Christian bands funnily enough. A Black Rose Burial actually sounds pretty sick, except sometimes they don't.

Susie
Sunrise Over A Sea of Blood is amazing, the other album that Mortal Treason released kind of sucks. Heard they got back together so I hope their 3rd album is really good. Since the topic of Deathcore is still going on the newest Aversions Crown is worth checking out Couldnt find my favorite track because for some reason their record label has yet to put all of the songs up. syntaxoil
Familiar with Car Bomb? I've got Centralia on my ipod right now, they've got some really interesting guitar sounds. The same vocalist was in Somplace To Hide, but sadly passed away late 2016 (I think it was from drinking too much) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ybz7ZcKdZXs More kittenviolence lol, I like to think I've come a long way since then. Susie
This album is still a sick jam to this day. The space-theme with space-y electronic sounds, Alternative/Industrial guitarwork, and potential Deftones influence. Used to like their second and third albums growing up too but nowadays I think that their debut was the only album of theirs that stood the test of time, their 2nd and 3rd albums were shitty Alternative Rock and I dont think ill ever touch the 4th. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL1f5jIK5GI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfnkdOBp_BQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt-2Xo__1Hc

Susie
Havent been listening to much Mastodon in a long while but I love both the new tracks, I dont understand the hate for Show Yourself, its catchier than their other stuff but its far from being the worst thing theyve written (High Road still makes me cringe the most, what the fuck is up with that shitty chorus)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Og39iIBeOHI&itct=CBEQpDAYASITCNb-4vGd_dECFcG7nAodC4UE0DIGcmVsbWZ1SJTlla6YvJbumQE%3D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdxZ4YXFcpQ
