Susie
I can't really say I'm into either of those bands, both styles are lost on me these days. Jamming the old Obscura. New Gorguts is amazing as well, have you heard it yet Moog? Yeah I know dey aint your thing but they are mine. Both new and old Obscura are cool, dunno what I prefer. Nope I still havent listened to it. Was listening to the first album I ever bought while I was in school today.

I'm pretty sure all versions of it are the same. Alexisonfire is always good. "Watch Out!" is definitely my fave tho In Mourning are streaming their new album 4 days before it's release date. Listening to it now, absolutely awesome so far! Haven't really dug them in a long time, but might check the new one. I found the last album to be pretty boring. "Watch Out!" is definitely my fave tho I know what you meant, I was just saying that I liked both the band Obscura and the album Obscura. I still say that I like Crisis, Old Crows / Young Cardinals, and the Dogs Blood EP the most. Watch Out is cool too but id rank it lower on my list of AoF albums. In Mourning are streaming their new album 4 days before it's release date. Listening to it now, absolutely awesome so far! I dug Shrouded Divine and Monolith but I thought that The Weight of Oceans was pretty meh. Ill look into their newest one soon.
Zauls
Yeah they've taken a slightly new direction with Afterglow, refreshed their sound a lot and honestly this is their best release to date imo. More atmospheric moments, really nice cleans and you can each member has come a long way musically since the last album. Drums especially are fantastic. Haven't quite pinned down your tastes haha. I myself mostly prefer death metal and black metal, though I tend to gravitate towards the weird, dissonant stuff. I'm also into a lot of noisy hardcore/metalcore and some post-hardcore. Been listening to Today Is the Day quite a bit lately, definitely one of the most unique hardcore/noise acts of the last twenty years.

I'm into a fairly wide range of stuff, but mostly prog, black and death metal. Also 70s prog rock. I'll listen to anything if I enjoy it though. Susie
So Thursday are apparently backhttp://www.gigwise.com/news/106118/thursday-band-reunion-tour-for-atlanta-wrecking-ball-festival-tickets Actually wasnt expecting this to happen despite all of the other comebacks from other early 2000s Post-Hardcore bands since Geoff had No Devotion and United Nations on him. According to that article it definitely seems like theyre back for good, they said that they resolved their problems that made them quit in the first place. ~NOiSE~
lol guess I should actually read the article. That's good news though, looking forward to seeing what they do. Wonder how that's going to effect his other bands though.

Wonder how that's going to effect his other bands though. Thats why I was surprised that Geoff did get back with Thursday. Im gonna guess that theyll just be side projects or maybe just United Nations will be a side project and Geoff will share the main band with both Thrusday and No Devotion. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough! Still spending a lot of time indulging in the Gorguts discography. Considered Dead and The Erosion of Sanity are being reissued in less than a month, which has me excited because I've been trying to get my hands on the former for awhile. Already got the rest so this will mean I have all of their albums (aside from the demo anthologies but I'm not too concerned with those). They're definitely one of the best and most consistent death metal bands of all time.

~NOiSE~
Yea, heard that the other day. It's alright I guess, sad they're not going further with the sound they had on Daisy.
Susie
Yea, heard that the other day. It's alright I guess, sad they're not going further with the sound they had on Daisy.Im not sad over that, in my opinion it would be a bigger disaster if they decided to try to push the sound they had on Daisy. Daisy was a huge automatic push into a different direction and they went and dove right into that direction as far as they could right off the bat so I doubt they could ever go further with the darker raw sound that they had accomplished even if they wanted to. The album is of its own and fits well as the black sheep of their discography and it should stay like that. Besides I think that its great that theyve decided to go full circle, if this is their last album then I think it would be very appropriate. Just so long as I Am A Nightmare is the worst song on the album then ill enjoy it. New Gojira video

Susie
Still one of the greatest Post-Hardcore records and still one of my favorite albums of all time. Songs like Dead In Magazines, Decoys Like Curves, and Only the Clouds are too good to be real.
~NOiSE~
Not really into Despised Icon, definitely into Hopesfall though. All of their stuff i good on some level. New Katatonia is out today, sounds pretty awesome from what I've heard.

New Katatonia is out today, sounds pretty awesome from what I've heard. I have a friend who thinks that Despised Icons 2005 album is okay but I never bothered. Hopesfall will always be my love forever. Everything theyve done I love with a passion, except for The Frailty of Words, not that its a terrible album but I dont like the raw heavy sound as much as the beautiful emotional melodic atmospheric Post-Hardcore that they released onwards, of course Hopesfall never had put out a bad album, such a shame that they ended in a funking terrible way, Trustkill had some good bands but funk was Josh Gabrielle a horrible record label owner. Will definitely get onto the new Katatonia record since I love them. Summers pretty much here so im not gonna be jamming heavy stuff as much.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkqQjPqRRCw

Susie
Metalcore La Dispute?I guess in that song it kind of is due to the spoken word parts. To me Silent Planet were the band that I wished Architects became when they released LF // LT. The atmosphere is way better and the riffage never overpowers plus theres no djent stuff going on and theyre on Solid State so theres obviously no anti-Christian bullshit lyrics on them. Panic Room is definitely their best song yet to me.
