I mean, sure it's not the greatest thing ever, but it's something to listen to, and ... unique to be sure. eh.

The new Fallujah is pretty good. I find it cool that they're using one of Peter Mohrbacher's pieces for their cover. He does awesome art. Even did some stuff for MtG.

Its unique if youve never listened to The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me (which is waaaaay better). Personally I dont think that it and Blood on the Sand are bad but Thrice have undeniably done way better, just listen to The Illusion of Safety and Vheissu for proof of that.

Yeah ill probably buy the new Fallujah sometime soon. It really beats out the new Obscura, Wormed, and Zealotry though I love all those albums anyways.

I'll go check out The Devil and God as well as the other stuff then, since I'm home alone..... god knows why.....

You better have a tissue box nearby. The Devil and God is one of the holy mothers of tearjerker albums and it rules too. Daisy and Deja Entendu are good too, Daisy being much darker and more experimental, Deja Entendu though is much more poppy. Enjoy Thrice too, they dont make miserable music.

This album has grown on me, theres a few weaker tracks on it but its mostly just a cool little lover letter to AoF and Thrice.

I actually may favor The Flesh Prevails over Dreamless as far as songwriting goes. Really love the ambient and atmospheric vibes, they definitely have a unique sound and it's rad.

New Thrice songs are good but I'm not getting myself too hyped yet.

You should listen to Nomadic, its their most atmospheric work.

Im still hyped for Thrice even if the newest tracks arent the most promising because I love Thrice that much.

God, is Wormed still a band?

Yup and they released a new album

I'm basically emotionally dead for sadness, at least. Happiness and anger are the only two emotions I really ever feel. Sadness basically instantly gets bottled up.

Most of the time, though, I'm just really.... kinda eh.

good stuff though.

I dunno man for me it's Gorguts no question

I'm still enjoying Fallujah, seriously can't believe how good these guys are.

Yeah man Fallujah are unbelievable. Would have listened to Gorguts before but I wasnt in the mood and I kinda wanna wait til I can download it because scrobbles are important.

New Aiden is cool

Not happy with Craig Mabbitt and Chris Motionless appearances though. Eugh.

I've decided that The Flesh Prevails is better than Dreamless., definitely one of the most emotive death metal albums I've heard.

I'm not really into Aiden at all.

Still need to give The Flesh Prevails another listen, wasnt into it at first.

Yeah I can get that, personally I think theyre too overlooked because of all the terrible bands that they share a fanbase with.If they came out earlier than they did then theyd have way more respect imo. That and I grew up with them so they helped develop my tastes and I really dig the Post-Hardcore/Gothic Rock mix. If youre willing to then you should try out Conviction, it has less of the angsty Post-Hardcore sound and more of a serious Post-Punk sound to it, its second to Nightmare Anatomy imo.

Cool band that my friend recommended to me, even though their album artwork is ugly as funk.

I might give some more Aiden a shot if I'm in the mood but I've been pretty satisfied with the metals. Hopefully going to buy the new Gorguts on Friday if I have the funds. New Vektor is also out, people are saying it's the best thrash record of the decade or something so I guess I have no choice lol.

Yeeeaaa I didn't like that at all lol

Gonna be seeing Boris in July, they're playing Pink in full!

Yeah wasnt sure if youd be into that Issues track or not. Its darker and heavier than their other tracks and ive heard a few people who werent into Issues before getting into that track but at the same time it does still feel like an Issues song.

Boris always are an amazing band. Feedbacker is still my favorite of theirs but Amplifier Worship, Noise, and Pink follow behind closely.

And this is happening

So Agalloch have just announced they've split up. I'm genuinely gutted we'll never hear new Agalloch again. Plus I never got to see them live :( I'll leave my favourite song of their's

Wow that sucks so much, I was just listened to The Serpent & the Sphere last night. I thought they'd get at least one more in. Really glad I saw them live.

Showbread was pretty surprising since I just happened to check up on them on spotify the day their last album came out, then looking at their facebook to see that it was literally their last album. Hit me right in the feels, they were one of the first hardcore/punk/whatever bands I got into about ten years ago.

John Haughm of Agalloch actually reiterated his first statement:

"After being inundated by a barrage of responses, I feel that I should clarify some things. I take full responsibility for the decision to part ways with the other guys. It was difficult, well thought-out, and something that had been culminating over the past couple of years. I simply could not continue any further with the band as it was. I had to make a change as my motivation and inspiration had started to completely deteriorate. Whether this is the permanent end of Agalloch altogether or a possible fresh start, I don't know. I probably won't know for awhile. The band has simply been reduced back to its founding member for the first time in 20 years. Beyond that, the future is unknown."

TL:DR, John Haughm wasn't feeling it anymore so he parted ways with the rest of the band and became the sole member. Agalloch may or may not continue in the future.

Kind of a weird turn of events but I guess things happen.

Showbread most certainly will be missed as will Agalloch if they dont continue.

Love the new Hail the Sun

Also really like the new ERRA album
