Yeah Scarve are a really cool band. Too bad Irradiant is the only album of theirs that I can get a download of. Since youre here now you should try out this, I think its totally up your alley.

Also The Fall of Troy have their new album up for free download on their website right on my fuckin birthday. What a pleasant and unexpected present.

Whoa happy birthday dude, that's a rad gift haha. I actually listened to the album earlier today, and was sadly bored by it other than the first two tracks but I'm going to be listening more.

This was my jam today.

Your opinions on TFOT are always the weirdest. I personally loved the whole album and Id consider it AOTY so far but theres still more to come out this year.

Redeemer is still one of my favorite Metalcore albums. Ive been listening to this lately, a gem amongst the crabcore "genre". Too bad that they lost their brains while writing the second album.

I just don't think I'll ever be satisfied with anything TFOT does except the s/t and the Ghostship demos, 'tis sad. All the rest of their stuff has moments that I like but just ends up not doing it for me because of awkward singing, boring filler and lame lyrics. Sorry Moog :'(

Bleeeeeh I don't like Woe Is Me haha.

Been digging some core lately, most prominently KASHEE OPEIAH

S/T was good but still my very least favorite work of theirs and the Ghostships Demo is on par with Patterns on the Horizon to me. Lyrics dont bother me all that much usually so I dont really get that out of TFOT and I dont find any of their singing to be awkward nor there to be any boring filler.

Number is essentially Plagues-era TDWP mixed in with Lower Definition so yeah not very Coral friendly but I love it. I really get into how they were able to pull off a more mechanical sound yet still let all of the atmosphere in their sound ooze out along side of it and the electronics are way more subtle and well suited than they are in bands like Attack Attack!, Crossfaith and Abandon All Ships. Genesi was bad though. VERY BAD.

Kashee Opeiah are really cool, havent listened to them in a while though.

Dunno how I feel about it. I thought the last album was a bit of a step down from The Way of All Flesh and From Mars to Sirius. I hope the new song is the worst one on the album.

I thought L'Enfant Sauvage was pretty killer but I do agree that it wasnt as good as From Mars to Sirius and maybe The Way of All Flesh.

D'espairsRay today

I like it too but it's just way stripped down compared to what they did before. I will say that it brings riffz tho and it's the easiest listen overall.

Damned is one of my favorite D'espairsRay songs, first one I ever heard.

btw I re-uploaded the Kashee Opeiah album in 320kbps along with the album cover and pictures of the lyric book if you're interested. Been trying to get people to listen to it for a long time.

Yeah that was a common complaint with the album from fans but I thought that it still wrecked hard and was better than their first two. If The Stranded is any indication then Magma will be better than L'Enfant Sauvage.

Damned is one of my favorites too along with Infected, Dears, Garnet, and Forbidden.

Ill download that version of the Kashee Opeiah album. Im interested into seeing what the lyrics book looks like.

On these now

Can't believe I forgot to mention the new Zealotry album that dropped on Friday. Digital only for now, CD available for preorder which I will be doing.

It rules if you didn't guess already.

Funny, Slaughter is actually my least favorite At the Gates album. Still has jams though.

Tetsuya left envy :(

Slaughter isnt my favorite but its certainly not my least favorite either.

Sucks to hear about Tetsuya going. Would they even be able to replace him?

Got into this band

Dunno about replacing him. Envy said they're continuing without him and writing new music after April. In the meantime they're doing a bunch of shows with theirs friends in other bands filling in and playing with them, it's pretty awesome.

Great to hear that Envy will still be chugging along.

Anyways new Fallujah is great, way better than The Flesh Prevails

Also not a big fan of The Faceless but their new song is something

Fallujah are really cool even if not all their stuff delivers. The Harvest Wombs is a good album but not too great, Nomadic is crushing and amazing, The Flesh Prevails is boring and insanely overrated. Dreamless to me feels like what The Flesh Prevails should have sounded like and is the closest theyve come to the quality of the Nomadic EP (Which is their work that I recommend the most because of its atmosphere).

I always thought that The Faceless were really meh. Planetary Duality ill admit was okay and cool for what it was but Autotheism was pretty boring, never tried out Akeldama but I doubt that I would ever like it. Their new track however is infinitely better than anything else theyve done.

Finally got my hands on Gore and listened to it in the car ride back to home. It rules hard even if its not too far from what Deftones have done in the past. I think I might put it on par with their self-titled or above it, not too sure yet but ill be giving it second listens tomorrow.

Yea Gore is good, it's a grower too. a lot of people don't like it and to be honest I can understand why, but I'm enjoying it.

Also decided to buy the new Fallujah as well as The Flesh Prevails, and I'm loving them both. Dunno why I ever passed them up, guess I assumed they were lame deathcore or something.

Yeah Gore is kind of standard Deftones shoegaze Metal. The new Fallujah is really something though I found The Flesh Prevails to be a bit monotone. Ill  probably try it out again.

New Thrice track is kind of eh

I mean, sure it's not the greatest thing ever, but it's something to listen to, and ... unique to be sure. eh.

The new Fallujah is pretty good. I find it cool that they're using one of Peter Mohrbacher's pieces for their cover. He does awesome art. Even did some stuff for MtG.
