I actually listen to both bands, The Devil Wears Prada is one of the few mainstream metalcore bands that I really like. I don't really understand why they get so much hate. It is full of bands like Asking Alexandria, Escape the Fate, etc. The kids of the scene crowd are pompous, have swoopy straightened hair, hand out in malls 99% of their lives, and listen to crappy music. Trust me, I know what the "scene" crowd is xP I don't listen to too much mainstream metalcore, but there are a handful of bands that I've liked since early high school that've stuck with me, Prada is one of them. I understand why a lot of metalheads don't like them though. Underoath is actually my favorite metalcore bands. Hmm...no one's posted Opeth in awhile. Not all mainstream metal (mainly metalcore) bands are bad..well actually quite a few a good while most are just plain generics which are the uncountable bunch of scene bands, carbon copies of other bands within the genre. I don't really like cookie-cutter bands that try to sound like already popular artists so they can make money; I prefer real artists.
