Not too into mygrain anymore but I used to dig them quite a bit.

Hey Mesa Verde put their discography on bandcamp for free.

http://makethatatakerecords.bandcamp.com/album/discography-2004-2009

Also the new The Fall of Troy song is better than their last three albums.

I still really like myGrain, theyre a bit different from most modern Melodeath bands out there. The new Fall of Troy song rules but no every song off of Doppelganger is still better. Never heard of Mesa Verde.

Got into this album recently

Hopefully they're playing some new ones  when I see them. Actually been jamming Meridional the most right now, something clicked really hard.

Blood Stain Child is kinda fun but I'm not really into them.

New Deftones tomorrow!!

That new Deftones is tomorrow? Time flies by.

Blood Stain Child didnt work with me the first time but I gave them a second listen and found them to be good for what they are. Personally ive been listening to a lot of Fear Factory and I managed to get Mnemic to grow onto me, not too sure why I didnt like them at first

Not getting new Deftones anytime soon, funk everything. Not even any downloads up yet, funk EVERYTHING.

listening to Beartooth, still cant believe that this band was formed by the lead singer of Attack Attack, sounds so much different

Me either. Probably the most boring out of the "Big Four" My Big Four is still Voivod, Watchtower, Coroner, and SlayerSpeaking of thrash, I still cannot wait for the new Vektor. Havent listened to anything yet, waiting for the whole thing to come out.

Yet another furry metalhead? You and Moog will surely be competing for my affection. Welcome~

Vektor is pretty great, got to see them open for Voivod in February. As a thrash fan, I'm sure you've heard of Aspid? They're sole album Extravasation is one of the best in the genre.

Also have not stopped jamming Deftones since Gore came out. I think Saturday Night Wrist is their best though.

Oh yeah dude!!! Aspid is insane, love their vocalists serpent-like vocals. I own the 2015 re-release, at the normal speed.

Im not really into Deftones, but good on you that you like them!! I will admit I think their debut is pretty good. Some other thrash I really enjoy are bands like Mekong Delta, Hellwitch, Cyclone Temple, Secrecy, Prototype, and a few others. Recently wishlisted a lot of stuff to listen to in the genre, hope I can find some cool stuff. Will share if I can.

Currently got into this album, its insane. Gets kinda slower later in the album, but the first 5 tracks are cool.

Also Im kind of taken already :3 Met my boyfriend through last.fm and weve been really close since!

We already on equal terms, he wont do anything between us :P

White Pony, Koi No Yokan, and Diamond Eyes still beat out Saturday Night Wrists but I still love that album. Kimdracula is the most underrated Deftones track.

Their debut imo is their worst, its got some good tracks but lacks the atmosphere and replayability of their later albums.

Randomly in a Living Sacrifice mood before sleep

Deftones is one of my faves, but yea I'd agree with Moog that Adrenaline is their worst.

I dig Hellwitch, good classic death/thrash from my state. Anacrusis and Obliveon are two more really good thrash bands that you might've heard of, but reccing anyway in case you haven't.

Oh good, I can keep Moog to myself<3

Forever yours Moog

SNW definitely beats out DE and KNY for me, WP holds it's own for sure though.

My current ranking is probably something like SNW > WP > s/t = G > ATF > DE > KNY > A

Still reeling from the Norma Jean show

Cant rank GORE since ive never listened to it.

Theres always time for Norma Jean.

Ah I dont really care for either too much, Anacrusis is about 300 miles away from me oddly. Obliveon is just kinda ehhh. I respect Anacrusis for being very unique though

>Not digging the space Prog Thrash Metal

Dafuq is wrong with ya man.

This album is AMAZING <3 I love it so much. Their vocalist is one of my favorites x3

Its pretty good but I wouldnt call it amazing. Its a real nice Industrial Metal album but there are other Industrial Metal albums that I prefer over it.

I just think they are way too slow paced for thrash, theres too many of those "prog" thrash bands that try to be so elegant and fail hard at it and to me, Anacrusis is one of them. If you want my opinion of a good prog thrash band, Id easily say Mekong Deltas later stuff, preferably their cover of Dance on a Volcano.

I think its amazing because of the vocal melodics and all the neat little choruses. Mechanical Spin Phoenomena has a lot more of those chuggier, mechanical ballads I admit, but The Audio Injected Soul has that emotion that I thoroughly enjoy

Was talking about Obliveon but okay. I honestly dont care about how slow or fast something is so long as your ideas are interesting to me then its all cool

The Audio Injected Soul is well done but I wouldnt say its really the most impressive sounding Industrial album that ive listened to. The vocal melodies arent much to write home about but they fit very well within the sound of Mnemic. A lot of their songs remind me of Fear Factory quite a bit. Kinda dont know which one I prefer over the other but Ive only ever listened to The Audio Injected Soul so I cant say much.

Another new Gorguts tracks, really reminds me of From Wisdom to Hate. Definitely getting excited for this.

Posting the first one too just because.

Ill listen to the new track later, busy with this album:

Ah, I just dont like Oblivieon at all, I see them as just another thrash band.

I see them as a more interesting Fear Factory. Demanufacture is just one of those albums I could never get the appeal of. Sure, theres some cool jams in there, but with Mnemic, you get these neat synthesizers and approachable vocals. I think the only band I could say that does this industrial sound any better is Mechina, but they are a different league, as they have more epic songwriting and symphonics that actually go with the song (Wish Fleshgod Apocalypse could do that)

Thats a great album! I do prefer Pink more, but it still has a lot of aspects I liked about Pink. Nothing better than an 47 minutes of Japanese sludge metal pummeling the s*** out of you.

Ive actually been hopping around everywhere in music lately. My friend showed me this Jazz fusion/brutal death metal/mathcore band from Indonesia called Cranial Incisored. Its like the bootlegged future of music haha. They are extremely random, but in a sense where its actually interesting. Their guitarist is pretty cool, he also told me of their side project "Leftyfish" which is basically the same thing, but with a female vocalist.
