Well you know I love Sybreed! Particularly Antares and The Pulse of Awakening. Haven't heard Celldweller but Mnemic is pretty meh to me. They had potential but it was never fully realized in my opinion.

 

Well its hard not to love Sybreed, Antares is my favorite but The Pulse of Awakening and God Is An Automaton are still worthy as well as Slave Design but I think its the one that id listen to the least. Yeah listened to about half of Mnemics 2nd album and  it was just okay. Celldweller is a bit dfficult for me to fully recommend, his individual tracks are for the most part either okay or great but his full albums are so inconsistent, I always find two or three songs that I need to delete from how boring they are, his first three albums are all that ive bothered with and also if you listen to Wish Upon A Blackstar I highly recommend that you delete the song Unshakeable, its funking horrid and dreadful and not even worth the one listen just to say you listened to it. Theres a funking shitty American Brostep-style bass drop in that song and I have no idea why its there other than to make Celldweller a quick buck or two. Though songs like Eon easily make up for shitty ones like that one.

Posting twice in a row but Coral have you ever heard of this, Black Metal supergroup involving Wrest (Leviathan and Lurker of Chalice) and Aaron Turner along with a few others, very creepy dark Doom inspired BM

I can't see the video but I'm assuming you're referring to Twilight? I've heard of them but never listened. I think one of the guys in Sonic Youth was in the band at one point as well.

 

I had originally heard of Twilight from a friend who gave me a link to them a very long time ago (I think it was back on mlpforums before I got banned from there) but the link was broken and I just randomly remembered about them last night. Never heard about Sonic Youth being in them

Moog how did you get banned from the mlp forums

Leviathan is awesome, love the death metal undertone of Scar Sighted. I'll be checking out Twilight tomorrow probs.

Some of the people I knew were getting themselves banned and I figured that it was time for me to go as well, so I went out in fashion by spamming the forum with cub porn, it was quite the fun time. At first I felt bad for the few people who still knew me decently and tried making more accounts but I eventually gave up and now theres only a few people left there that I had talked to who I dont have on other sites. My account has been unbanned but I havent gone on it since that faithful day, if you search up "Moog the Kvlt" you can still see it (I banned myself during Black Metal November)

 

Yeah, im not the hugest Leviathan fan but Scar Sighted was truly a great one.

Interesting story, reminds me of the YCM user Sunn O))) when he got himself banned for whatever reason.

Yeah except I had a better reason to go since I started to hate a lot of people on there, most of my crew from the Metal thread there went down in a similar style (except they did it with lolicon) and I lost interest in MLP a long time ago, I only felt bad for a handful of people but eventually when I gave up on making new accounts was when I realized I had almost nothing to go back for, the music threads went completely dead after me and my other friend Dawn got ourselves banned and I have other places to find most of the people who I remember well.

 

Lunarterial is one hell of an experience, probably my favorite Death/Doom album along with Black Death Horizon by Obliteration

Yea Swallowed is amazing, I can't believe how good that album is. The drumming is so weird and unique. And now I'm listening to Black Death Horizon since you brought it up haha. 

 

 

their list was mostly voted by fans who came up with the list, but at least Metallica, anthrax, slayer and megadeth came as the top four due them being the big four of thrash metal

 

My big four would be Voivod, Coroner, Obliveon and Aspid (thanks to Moog for reminding me to check the last one)

Never heard of this but it sounds cool and that artwork is sick

 

 

Obsidian Kingdom's new album came out a couple of days ago. If anyone's into post/sludge metal then definitely give it a go.

 

 

Loved the hell out of Mantiis and used to listen to it non-stop through most of last year so ill definitely be going for this one eventually.

 

Not Metal or Hardcore but since we like sharing CDs here

Haven't listened to them in a long time, wasn't very impressed with their latest effort to tbh. The Hammering Process and Conceived In Fire are rad though. 

 

More sick thrash. 

 

 

Meh i liked Ghost Thief quite fairly, Straw Man is a banger track, though my personal favorites from them are The Hammering Process, The Infinite Order and Reborn. Conceived In Fire is good too especially the track Symbiotic.

 

Never listened to or heard of Obliveon but ill get around to them soon.
