Thanks, thought it would looks cool in blue and it fits my name better!

Haven't listened to Scar Symmetry in awhile, I used to be really into them but they're not really my thing anymore. You know I'm pretty picky with my melodeath haha.

I only like the Scar Symmetry albums with Christian on vocals and ive always been like that, after he left the vocalists which replaced him just sound boring as funk and their sound hadnt aged very well at the time too considering how many modern Melodeath bands were trying to jump on the same bandwagon leaving SS after Holographic Universe just sounding like the same old formula again and again with only slight variations that offer nothing to the package. Never liked Solution .45 either.

Its kind of hard for me to tell whether im into Melodeath as much as I used to or not, Ive certainly found more bands that I like but at the same time I tend to binge it and then ignore it for a little bit. Im not picky with melodeath though I have found some bands that I dont like in the genre (The Black Dahlia Murderer, Mercenary, Solution 45, and a few others which I cant think of)

Thanks dude, it's nothing special but I wanted to give it another go since it's been awhile. Think I'm gonna do it more.

Ive always thought about doing reviews again but I doubt ill ever get back to doing any.

Decided to listen to this song again after a long time, forgot how much I love it, still one of my top favorite Converge songs

I listened to some of Jane Doe today, album never fails to amaze me.

No surprise there

You Fail Me is getting a remaster btw

Thats cool, even though You Fail Me is nothing compared to Jane Doe it still is pretty great. Love the track Last Light

I wouldn't put it that far behind Jane Doe, I mean Jane Doe is the classic but I think You Fail Me could easily be runner up for second best or on par with it

No id only place You Fail Me ahead of No Heroes and the Pre-Jane Doe material. I prefer All We Love and Axe To Fall waaaaaaaay over it. You Fail Me wasnt nearly as memorable as Jane Doe, it doesnt have the emotional delivery that other stuff by them does.

Haven't been online recently because I've been busy between work and travel, and I'm sure this has been mentioned, but apparently some lucky people got Inverloch's new release in the mail early and (obviously) some generous fella leaked it online for us less fortunates. Been jamming that a ton since I got it. Excellent stuff, as expected.

Aside from the Inverloch, Panopticon's new split with Waldgeflüster got leaked as well. You'll be hard pressed to find a way to listen to it outside of piracy, but it's absolutely worth it. Austin Lunn continues to astound me with his ability to unrelentingly release amazing music. Waldgeflüster's side is rather impressive as well.

Funny cause we were talking about the new Inverloch a little bit ago, will look for the leak eventually. Never bothered looking too deep into Panopticon and Ive never heard of Waldgeflushter.

I highly HIGHLY suggest you look into Panopticon. Everything he's ever released is solid, and he's got a couple extraordinary releases (Social Disservices, Autumn Eternal, his split with Skagos).

Converge rules and I think You Fail Me is underratedand actually one of their most emotionally fueled albums. Inverloch and Panopticon both rule but I've only heard Social Disservices and Roads to the North by Panopticon.

Actually most fans tend to say the opposite and that its right under Jane Doe, even some say its better. So if I was ever forced to say that any Converge album is overrated it would be that one, but still I wouldnt say that very strongly. Dont worry ill get onto new Inverloch and some Panopticon once im done with my non-Metal/Hardcore binge.

I always felt it was overlooked tbh but ah well. Inverloch is streaming on noisey if you're looking for it!

Been listening to maudlin of the well and they're pretty great, dunno what kept me away before.

On last.fm its the second most listened to album and ive only read one comment hating on it. Overlooked is the last word to use for it.

Never dug too deeply into maudlin but I was intrigued by what I heard before. Funny cause im feeling the same way about a completely different artists music right now (Celldweller). Which maudlin would you recommend?

Guess I was wrong then haha. I agree with that consensus then, album is one of my faces.

For maudlin, check Bath and Leaving Your Body Map. They're joint albums and are part of a concept. I haven't listened to the rest of their stuff yet.

Im listening to Bath right now, its really good ill get onto Leaving Your Body Map eventually as well

so, when hearing about Anita Sarkeesian working in Twitter and went to the UN about censoring things. heres a song for her

Yeah...I tend to ignore those sort of things, not the type of person who wants to think about that sort of drama. Kinda worrisome though since the UN have a habit of blatantly pissing on situations instead of solving them, who knows if theyll be dumb enough to buy into her ridiculous censorship bull.

Probably not, it's a petty issue in contrast to things that we should be much more concerned about.

Glad you're digging Bath Moog, it's pretty rad. Leaving... still has death metal moments but it's definitely the more surreal and atmospheric of the two if you can believe that.

True, guess I might be too pessimistic about UN but they did actually give a letter to Japan asking them to ban certain explicit material so its not like its completely out of their agenda.

Bath was really good and ill listen to Leaving... sounds really crazy, kind of on an Industrial Metal kick right now though, was listening to Sybreed in school and am right now listening to Celldweller about to try out Mnemic soon, maudlin were a nice switch up but I think ill wait til tomorrow on Leaving.
