~NOiSE~
More J-metal that I don't know too well! Haha Voivod was awesome tonight, bought two shirts and their new EP. Vektor was pretty good but I didn't buy any of their stuff. Other bands were alright but pretty forgettable.

Lynch. are really cool they do a great job on being heavy and melodic at the same time, I Believe In Me, Greedy Dead Souls, and Shadows are all good albums, I also really like the artwork to I Believe In Me. 12012 I only just got into and ive only listened to their singles and mini-albums pre debut. ~NOiSE~
I'll add them to the list when J-rock is on my mind again haha Was jamming some of Voivod's more underrated work yesterday, particularly their stuff with Eric Forest on vocals/bass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPW9tKA_O7A

Binge-listening to envy again, this seems to happen a lot. The more I listened to Rolo Tomassi the more I got into them, theyre really cool. A lot of people say Hysterics is their best but I disagree and prefer Astraea and Grievances, Cosmology is a great listen too but ive yet to listen to Eternal Youth. Nothing wrong with binging on Envy. Discovered these guys today, band consists of previous members from Oceana and Decoder, sort of like Norma Jean, As Cities Burn, and Oceana.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD-dZldiabc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCm6i20FzfM
~NOiSE~
Funny, I went to see my girlfriend's coworkers band play a few weeks ago and Wolf:Speak played as well. They're one city over from me. Band is alright but their vocalist is a major douchebag.

Funny since the vocals are my least favorite part of the band, still like them no matter what vocals they have and whether their vocalist is an awful person or not, but theyre still the weakest part of the band. Cool that some people you know got to play with them. I also got around to checking out that Sore Eyelids band you talked about a while back, pretty great emo stuff but the band features members of Suis La Lune so that should be expected. And I'm not very hopeful for whatever As Cities Burn does tbh... But the new Voivod EP ir rad, great progression after Target Earth and only makes me anticipate their next album more. New Inverloch is kicking my ass right now, as expected. I got my CD in the mail a week early so I'm jamming it hard. New Gorguts.

I cant go on about how much I love Translating the Name and how much youre really missing out on. With As Cities Burn I was worried when they released Prince of Planet Earth but after they released Goldmine I became more hopeful. Ill listen to that new Gorguts track and the new Inverloch soon. Forgot to mention about Wormed and Touche Amore having something new coming up too. Project

I've got that Wormed album preordered, pretty excited to hear it. Their self-titled album was very commercial sounding and was a huge step down from what they did back when Anthony was in the band, ill admit that I like a few tracks off of the album but the majority is boring and watered down. Translating the Name however is much more raw and emotional sounding, Anthony Green had a more aggressive vocal style back then though he still had his distinct sound, guitar work is much more shreddy, the drumming is just insane the whole EP is just filled to the brim with really energetic punchy dynamics and had a much different style for its time. Seven Years is still one song that I can almost never get off my mind. Even if you dont like it its undeniable that the band had much more musicianship and potential until Anthony got fed up with the direction the band was going and called it quits on them. ~NOiSE~
Deathcore I like would generally be: Mortal Treason - Sunrise Over a Sea of BloodEmbodyment - Embrace the EternalDark Sermon - In TonguesBecoming the Archtype - Terminate Damnation Haven't been listening to them much at all lately though, been mostly jamming Birds in row. I really hope they put out a new LP soon.

For me id say all of those bands with the addition of The Red Chord, Arsonists Get All the Girls, Animosity, The Eyes of a Traitor, and early BtBaM. Birds In Row really need to get a new album out.
