I sadly don't have my Fear Before albums anymore, ended up selling them in a time of monetary need. Can still listen to them on Spotify whenever though. Frameworks is pretty cool from what I remember but I'll have to revisit them. Love that art.

This has become one of my favorite envy tracks, love the singing in the beginning.

Id never sell my Fear Before albums if I ever had any, The Always Open Mouth is one of my favorite albums of all time, not to speak ill of Odd How People Shake, really love the tracks Sarah Goldfarb Where Are Your Manners and The 20th Century Was Almost Mine. To me Loom is a pretty great modern Hardcore record and I really wanna hear Frameworks put out another album, have you ever listened to State Faults before? Theyre pretty similar to Frameworks.

Can we just settle down and say that anything by Envy is certified gold, especially their later works.

I used to like State Fauls quite a bit but I'm kind of over them now...most modern screamo doesn't really strike a chord with me anymore, and I've always been a fan of the much more abrasive acts in the genre from the get-go. I'll still check Frameworks again though, since it's been awhile.

I prefer Frameworks way over State Faults but I still enjoy both a fair amount. Frameworks are more closer to their Melodic Hardcore/Post-Hardcore influences than they are Screamo but they do have elements of that in their sound. Personally I couldnt care less if my Screamo is modern or old school really just depends on the mood but Ive been finding myself more and more often listening to the newer stuff more recently, guess its just what im in the mood for.

Oh yea I mean if it's good it's good, just that there don't seem to be as many bands these days doing things that I like. Probably just my lack of looking for them though, I'm sure there are more that I don't know about.

Of course I like a good handful, like Ampere, Loma Prieta, Suis La Lune, envy, United Nations...y'know.

All those bands are great though the one that I listen to the least on that list would be Ampere. Envy, United Nations, Loma Prieta and Suis La Lune are some of my favorites. Id probably add The Saddest Landscape, Touche Amore (...kinda?), Caravels (also kinda?), Pianos Become the Teeth, Old Gray, Gillian Carter, Comadre, State Faults and Frameworks. I wouldnt consider Envy modern though since theyve been around since the 90s but I guess its arguable that theyre known better for their later sound as opposed to their earlier stuff.

Oh there are more than I listed for sure but those are just some major examples. Gillian Carter is pretty close to me actually!

Anyway going to bed because I am getting some gum implants tomorrow morning. Should be a blast.

I am interested in what your avatar is from this time, Moog. Please, do tell.
(ah f*** it, i'll do an image search in incognito)

Listening to this right now:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pwHm2amAxQ

It's labeled as 'alternative metal', but it's more rock.... eh... whatever. still enjoyable.

edit: apparently googles got nothing on the image. damn

Im only a big fan of the first two Lostprophets albums, wasnt too big on their third album but I liked the track Everyday Combat.

i'll be sure to check out their earlier stuff then. thx.

Their debut was a Nu Metal album but it had a lot of dynamics in it and some catchy hooks making it be more energetic than angsty and edgy. Start Something went off to a more Alt Rock direction but it still sounded good.

I wanna die. Gum implants are not fun.

I wouldnt imagine so

Yessss ZAO, really happy to own Awake along with Parade of Chaos and The Splinter Shards the Birth of Separation. Taken you should check out The Funeral of God I think youd like that one the most, though everything by ZAO has its own sound and is worth listening to.

It's the limited edition longbox remaster of the s/t album! Limited to 300 copies. The shirt is just the logo for Geoff Rickly's record label, it came as part of the deal. I could've gotten a United Nations shirt but the one available has the Beatles flicking off the camera and I didn't like it that much.

Yea that one haha. It's funny but I couldn't really wear it around my house.

I was actually listening to Dir en grey today! I've loved them since I first heard them back in 2006.

Their last three have all been particularly stellar though, not often does a band put out three near-perfect albums in a row.

Id only wear it if someone else bought it for me

Uroboros and Arche are both albums that I love, Dum Spiro Spero is great too but I dont find myself listening to it very much.

Started getting into Rentrer En Soi

Dum Spiro Spero just has such a unique atmosphere and in has the most consistency out of their discography. Uroboros is still my favorite though.

Hmm never heard of Rentrer En Soi, haven't been following the J-rock scene much outside of the bands I like. I'll check them out though. You ever listen to Ling Tosite Sigure?

I still prefer Uroboros the most followed by Kisou, Withering to Death, and Arche. Vulgar is my least favorite but its still a great release.

Rentrer En Soi are an old Visual Kei band thats mostly Rock with some minor experimental tidbits here and there. The Bottom of Chaos is a great album and Sphire-Croid is good as well but a bit softer. Still havent listened to Ling Tosite Sigure, im putting them off too much I can guess.
