Their highest rated on Sputnikmusic is Years Past Matter so maybe start there? Or just start from the beginning.

Thats the one that I was considering the most due to the Prog influence though I heard a track off of the debut and it sounded good

Listened to that Krallice album in school it was definitely cool, might look into their other stuff

Also off of Black Metal and into MDM ever heard of Keep of Kalessin or Marionette? Only vaguely heard about both bands but dont know much

And off of MDM to Post-Hardcore in the style that only I like ;_;

Sorry Moog but I just don't dig it :c

I dig these though

Been kind of avoiding the internet until tonight to avoid Star Wars spoilers

Gospel and Drive Like Jehu are great but I havent listened to them in a while since I havent been in the mood for that stuff recently.

I am right now listening to Exodromos by Wormed and I will be going for Demigods debut after it. Wormed are really good, will tell about Demigod after I listen to them.

I couldnt stand Star Wars even as a kid so I havent even bothered looking in places where those spoilers would be. Hope that new Star Wars treated you well.

I guess if it's not for you it's not for you! New film is awesome though, saw it twice.

Haven't listened to Fightstar but that album has been getting some hype do maybe I will.

Got my Grave Miasma and Cruciamentum merch that I ordered, as well as the Leviathan album I ordered two months ago haha.

personally for me I found Grand Unification to be okay and I didnt like One Day Son. Behind the Devils Back has some serious Deftones vibes going on so I really like it. Also quite enjoyed the new Northlane album, despite not being into any of the other stuff theyve put out. Broadside released an impressive debut if anyone likes Pop Punk with a bit of Post-Hardcore influence.

right now listening to this

I would honestly start with their self-titled or Years Past Matter. They have a new album out entitled Ygg Hurr, but unfortunately it's been collecting dust on my harddrive because I haven't had time...

I have every confidence that you'll dig Grave Miasma. As for electronic music, I don't listen to much but not I don't like it. More because I don't know what I would like.

I do dig some trip-hop type of stuff I've heard, I'm partial to dark, glitchy stuff. Got any recs Moog?

Ill go for Grave Miasma tomorrow

If youre looking for something dark and glitchy go for Untrue by Burial, pretty depressing chill atmospheric sounds with glitchy metallic beats, if you enjoy Burial then look into Clubroot. Vex'd would be worth checking out, dark and Industrial sounding Dubstep (old school, not shitty American Brostep amongst the likes of Skrillex and Excision), Degenerate is the darkest while Cloud Seed is more noisy and weird, personally I prefer Degenerate. The Knife are worth a try, really out there Experimental stuff with influences ranging from Trip-Hop to Dark Ambient and Synthpop, listen to the songs Full of Fire, Neverland, and We Share Our Mother's Health and see what you think of them.

Theres also the Trip-Hop essentials: Portishead, Massive Attack, Bjork (even though only her older material was Trip-Hop), Fatboy Slim, Morcheeba, and DJ Shadow

Another genre worth looking into is IDM, best starter artists are Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Autechre, Venetian Snares, Squarepusher, and Amon Tobin.

Other albums that arent necessarily what you mentioned but are classics that are worth looking into:

The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land

The Crystal Method - Vegas

The Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole

Daft Punk - Discovery

Underworld - (Cant be bothered to think of a specific album)

Leftield - Leftism

Skream - Skream

Distance - My Demons

Justice - Cross

Benga - Diary of an Afro Warrior

I'm indeed alive... Grave Miasma and Cruciamentum are both incredible. Been listening to the latter quite a bit lately.

Charnel Passages is one of my favorites this year, along with the new Horrendous album and Ghoulgotha's The Deathmass Cloak. Still a few more I need to check though.

There's still a SHITLOAD I need to listen to from this year, and even from the end of 2014. Between work and personal life, I don't really get a whole lot of time to just sit and listen to music. I used to do it at work, but everyone on my jobsite hates metal so...

You should definitely listen to Ghoulgotha if you havent already, its my favorite Death Metal release of this year.

Also I finished off Grave Miasma, quite good, reminds me of the new Abyssal record a little bit. Currently on The Unguided

I've been listening to Ghoulgotha since discovering their No Peace to Rest In demo. They're awesome.

Ghoulgotha is rad, they get a lot of hate for some reason though.

Will check some of those recs Moog.

I dont understand why they get so much hate, I cant even think of a single problem I have with The Deathmass Cloak.

If you need specific albums to some of the Trip-Hop and IDM recs then I can do that if youre ready to look into some.

Deathmass Cloak is awesome, but I really love the aforementioned demo. It's one of my all time favorite releases in death metal. It's so low-end heavy. Absolutely crushing.

I tend to prefer more atmospheric and melodic Death Metal but I still do enjoy low-end heavy so ill give the demo a listen. Did you hear the most recent Job for a Cowboy album? They moved away from their Deathcore sound and into a Tech Death style.

I'm actually not much into tech death at all. When it comes to death metal, I'm more into the old-school sound and stuff that's real low-end heavy.
